“Yes. But you know my position. Sir Zibek has his own problems so he needs to take credit for them. If you can repel the scoundrels who attacked the Baroness’s residence you will be forgiven of your sins without having to become a penitent.”
“Then what about the friends you hired with money?”
“The prince told me to hire the Cell Sword Guild or other adventurers but no one in their right mind would agree to raiding the Baroness’s house. So I hired some of the most energetic refugees and they all agreed to help.”
“….”
“Well it cost a bit more because we had to arm them with weapons. There are a lot of these refugee youths everywhere. Even if the number decreases a bit no one will notice.”
Confucius’s son Seodong Beldon spoke quietly so as not to be heard.
“Are you telling me to kill those refugee youths?”
Beldon was demanding that Zibek do him a favor by hiring a group of thugs to strike them in the back of the head.
But Lord Jibek did not like it. Even if he was supposed to be a penitent wasn’t that too mean?
‘Even the herald of the herald clan knows honor so I can’t do that.’
However Chief Inspector Maya who was listening from the side was delighted.
“This is a very good opportunity Lord Zibek. You must accept it.”
“Isn’t that so?”
“You’re talking nonsense. Beldon pay them the compensation you promised and disperse them immediately. I’ll tell the prince.”
“Huh? Oh no this is a big problem. Then I will strike the bell. You know about the bell don’t you? Your Majesty’s condition is….”
“Sir Jibek. Well… that’s it.”
It was a time when even Maya was embarrassed by the old-fashionedness of Lord Jibek.
“Huh? Wait a minute you guys?”
Maya noticed a man a boy and a girl among the passers-by.
“You guys have come to Salasma too?”
“Oh sir?”
It was there that I met Azaddin and Midiam Ismail.
“Huh? Do you know Lord Maya?”
“Oh yes. He’s the pilgrim I saw during the black magic disaster. I heard he’s quite skilled.”
“I guess so.”

Sir Jibek smiled bitterly. It seemed that Maya did not know that Azadin was a messenger.
“It’s been a while.”
“Ah Lord Jibek. You are here too.”
“Do you know Sir Jibek?”
Maya was just amazed.
“Yes sir. Did you look for my father?”
Azadin asked her naturally even though he had killed her father.
“No. I couldn’t find him so I returned to my post for now. There is much work to be done. I am sure that Father Lord Gazrek is carrying out his duties as a model knight. I hope he is safe.”
“….”
Even if your arms bend inward there is a limit. Hearing that Sir Gazrek who did not hesitate to massacre civilians to cover up their mistakes was the role model for the Knights Azadin had to try to control his expression.
“Oh by the way what’s going on?”
“That’s right.”
Sir Jebeck spoke honestly.
“Prince Kozel hired poor refugee youths to raid the house of Baroness Nord. If they succeed they will be hanged and if they fail they will die. The refugees must be in a difficult situation if so many people volunteer.”
“ah….”
Beldon was embarrassed.
“What if you tell that to someone else?”
“Iza is a trustworthy person. He is very tight-lipped.”
Sir Jibek said so and was surprised himself. He a knight of the King’s Church had guaranteed that Azadin the Emperor’s messenger could be trusted. Azadin smiled bitterly at those words.
“Is this person in charge of hiring?”
“That’s right.”
“Oh uh um.”
Beldon was taken aback by the sudden turn of events. Then Azadin spoke.
“I’m sorry but it’s useless to hire people like this who have never even held a knife before. Instead of wasting the blood of poor people hire a professional who can do the job.”
“Are you a useful expert?”
“That’s exactly me.”
“….”
Midiam and Ismail who were listening to the story stuck out their tongues.
‘How bold.’
‘Are you in your right mind?’
“….”
Sir Jibek who was listening to the story also sighed.
“Maya let us vacate the spot.”
“yes?”
“There is a good reason for that.”
Sir Xibek left the room so that Azadin could speak privately with Beldon. Or perhaps he left the room of his own volition so that he would not have to listen to the dirty story that would wash out his ears.

In the evening Azadin left the Baroness Nord’s private residence and inspected the Count’s castle. However the area around the castle was not a place to be explored lightly. Everywhere one could look inside the castle there were guards and guards standing watch from outposts.
“I guess the Count is quite paranoid?”
The entire Salasma is in chaos due to the influx of refugees. Begging for food is acceptable for the poor refugees who have left their homes but they are also engaging in theft robbery prostitution and murder which is rapidly worsening the security situation. In order to control these refugees a lot of troops are needed.
In order to maintain the stability of the city most of the standing army had to be devoted to maintaining public order. However surprisingly the count did not care about the surrounding public order and focused only on defending his castle.
There is no way to get in like this.
“Couldn’t we go through the underpass? The Were Rats broke into the Baroness’s residence that way too?”
Medium followed and offered his opinion.
“I investigated the underpass but there was a huge iron gate blocking the middle. Even I don’t think I could break that gate.”
There was a one-way door that could only be used to escape from the Count’s castle but could not be broken into. This would be expected for a proper underground secret passage.
“If there’s some kind of institution wouldn’t it be possible to enter from the outside? If we look around carefully?”
“I don’t think so. Well maybe I should just climb over the wall at night? But then….”
Azadin clicked his tongue as he thought about climbing over the wall at night. He had no idea what the internal structure was like or how many defenders and patrols there were so he was bound to make a mistake if he tried to climb over the wall.
If you subdue the patrolmen or the servants working in the castle the story will be different but that means you’ll have to harm innocent people. You can solve it by simply stunning them but if you’re unlucky you might end up killing innocent people.
Azadin who has faith in the Knights of Salvation does not want to kill innocent people. Infiltration at night requires thorough preliminary investigation.
“I should ask the Baroness in detail about the people who come and go from the Count’s castle. If possible it would be good to get guidance. The Count’s wife and children can come and go right?”
“How about you? Disguise yourself as a servant and go in? I don’t think a noble would hire someone wearing a helmet or blindfold as a servant.”
Medium pointed that out. If Azadin were to disguise himself as a blind man he would gain sympathy from those around him but being blind is also a personality that is too easy to remember. It is not a situation where he can easily disguise himself and enter.
“I guess there’s nothing I can do. Then should I take my time and try to break through the iron gate?”
It is impossible to break down the door in one go but it may be possible if you take your time and use a tool to destroy it. Azadin decided to do so and on his way back he met Lord Jibek and his party.

At that time refugee youths flocked in.
“What are you talking about boss?”
“What this guy in the helmet is asking you to hire him instead of me?”
“yes?”
They surrounded Azadin. But Azadin spoke without any fear.
“I’m sorry but you guys aren’t enough. I’ll give you some money so be satisfied with that. This kind of work isn’t for you.”
“No this makes us look so ridiculous.”
The refugee gangster youths were furious. Then Azadin took out a gold coin in front of them. It was not the emperor’s gold coin but a common currency from the Eight Kingdoms.
“uh?”
“What? Are you bragging about having a lot of money?”
“Hey wanna make a bet with me?”
“bet?”
“If you win the bet with me I’ll give this to you.”
“….”
The eyes of the young scoundrels who saw the gold coins sparkled with greed.
“What is it?”
“It’s simple.”
Azadin nodded to Medium.
“Draw a circle twice the width of your shoulders under my feet.”
Medium took out a piece of chalk and drew a circle under Azadin’s feet.
“Like this?”
“Yeah good.”
Azadin held up the gold coin and spoke to them.
“If you push me out of this circle this gold coin is yours.”
“…what?”
“But if you lose just go back quietly and rely on the Rescue Knights for help with your family.”
“This little shit!”
“How ridiculous they look at us!”
Azadin’s provocation angered the refugee youth.
“Oh wait. Why are you guys acting like this…”
Confucius’s Xidong Beldon was in a difficult position. Originally he wanted to sacrifice them to appease Prince Cozel’s vengeance and bury the matter.
Of course this wasn’t something that a single Seodong could decide. However contrary to Beldon’s expectations things were going in an unexpected direction.
“The time limit is…..”
Azadin threw the gold coin into the sky.
The gold coin that had bounced high into the sky fell back into Azadin’s hands.
“Let’s bounce the gold coin ten times. If I can’t catch the gold coin again it’s your win. If you win I’ll give you this gold coin as a bonus.”
“…!”
“What do you think? Do you want to do it?”
“summer solstice!”
“then!”
Azadin flicked the gold coin. At that moment the thugs all rushed at Azadin.
“Hit!”
“Kill him!”
However Azadin’s index finger hit the middle of the young man’s nose as he rushed forward. While the young man was startled by the shock that made his whole body tingle and become paralyzed Azadin grabbed his head tied his arms together and spun him around in a circle.
“Ewww!”
The young rascal runs along the ground like a bull being pulled by reins. Those who rushed to push Azadin away are also swept away colliding and falling and chaos breaks out.
Azadin spun his opponent around and threw him. After the young rascals fell down like bowling pins Azadin caught the gold coins falling from the sky.
“once.”
“….”
“uh.”
Those who were watching stuck out their tongues.
Even Midiam and Ismail who knew of Azadin’s abilities were terrified by Azadin’s skills.
“Why? Aren’t you going to attack me more?”
“Oh no.”
“Okay.”
Azadin generously offered to do ten coin tosses but everyone’s will was broken after just one.
“Hmm. Ismail.”
“yes?”
“Give this to them.”
Azadin picked up some silver coins and handed them to Ismail. Ismail took the coins and gave them to the scoundrels who took off their leather armor and weapons and gave them back to Beldon.
“Uh uh… Hey wait a minute! Wait a minute….”
Beldon was taken aback but the refugee youths who had already tasted the bitterness of Azadin were preoccupied with the thought of dividing the money he had given them.
