Night of the Soulless Heathens – 501

#502. Night of the Soulless Unbeliever 13
Everyone gathered here in the Black Ice Citadel is a warrior without exception.
That’s why I’ve often seen anger and hatred transcend life.
But I have never seen an emotion called joy that transcended life and death.
Even the undead who existed beyond death felt at that moment as if their stopped hearts were beating again.
Sokdo was also taken aback by the sheer joy of Azadin’s enthusiasm.
Are you happy? Really?
Can one be filled with joy in the face of this desperate situation?
But the feeling was so strong that even Sok was overwhelmed.
But Sok couldn’t back down.
“Emperor. I have waited a long time. No one has changed the Order in your ridiculously long life! No one has changed the Order! Even if you do it will not last long! Humans are weak and will inevitably betray their faith. Become undead! You must live long and protect your beliefs! That is….”
“What’s wrong with being weak?”
“So even if I get betrayed you mean?”
“The joy of receiving a miracle is greater than the pain of being betrayed. I will not give up on a miracle because of the possibility of being betrayed.”
“Words won’t do it for me.”
Sok realized that he could no longer win the argument with Azadin and drew his sword.
A sword with dancing black magic stood before Azadin’s ceramite longsword emitting a dazzling light.
“Now prove your will with your sword. Not with empty words!”
“What should we do?”
The surrounding vampires and whites asked Sok’s intentions.
They ask whether their master Sok should kill Azadin one-on-one or whether they should all join in and attack him.
Then Azadin snickered.
“If you were Lord Sok wouldn’t you be willing to deal with me? Stand back. Don’t interfere.”
“Sok’s men trembled at Azadin’s arrogant remarks.
But Azadin had no regard for them.
“Master.”

Dahlia had never doubted Sok’s invincibility but now Azadin had cracked even Sok’s stubbornness which was characteristic of orcs.
However the reason he wants to test Azadin with his sword is because he is a stubborn orc.
“Oh really. This captain is really old-fashioned. Hey captain. You’re getting beat up because you’re not controlling the Necro Titan.”
“Scott you take control.”
Azadin ordered Scott to pilot the Necro Titan. The fact that he didn’t even ask if he could do it showed how much he trusted Scott.
“Huh? Is that okay? Captain?”
“…do it. I’ll hand over the control keys.”
Sok also handed over the control keys of the Necro Titan to Scott focusing only on Azadin.
In order to create and manipulate the Necro Titan all of the black magic generated from this Ice Citadel had to be used so it was essentially like handing over the entire Ice Citadel.
Sok was currently focusing solely on Azadin.
A biting wind blew where Azadin and Sok’s eyes met.
“Is it really necessary to do this Sir Sok?”
“We have come too far to regret. And even if we regret what has happened now we must take responsibility for the sins we have committed.”
“There are many ways to take responsibility. A great death knight necromancer or great wizard can be of any use.”
“Enough Emperor. I am responsible for my beliefs and my past just as you are responsible for your salvation.”
“My faith and my salvation give me joy. Your faith and salvation seem to only bring me distrust and despair toward others. Should I still take responsibility for this?”
“Yes! Excuse me first!”
At that moment Sir Sok swung his sword.
A pillar of ice rises from the ground and flies towards Azadin.
At the same time Sok’s body clad in thick armor flashed like black lightning and rushed forward.
The moment the shadow of Sir Sok shooting out like a magic bullet flew towards Azadin Azadin also kicked the ground.
There was a conflict between the two.
Shock waves blasted out in all directions throwing out any vampires or wights that had approached without warning.
The ice pillars break and cracks appear in the spire.
“That’s amazing!”
Soak stood in awe at the wall of ice pillars. The sight of them standing horizontally on the ground like nails driven into a wall was strange.
Meanwhile Azadin stood among the broken ice pillars governed by the laws of physics and greeted Sok.
“Lord Sok.”
“Your Majesty! You should have said it a little earlier! I almost said something useless!”
Sok turns into black lightning and rushes at you again.
Countless sword lights follow Sok’s movements creating a typhoon that engulfs everything around him.
As Azadin moved to avoid the attack Sok cast a spell with the other hand that held his sword.
The Black Curse’s Magic Bullet pursues Azadin.
To counter him Azadin drew up the magical power of the Flower Bird Wind and Moon.
Use it three times going from Harconia to Kazas to Harconia again then back to Harconia again.
Azadin’s figure disappeared and he moved at high speed and the floor of the ice citadel exploded.
As the two movements black lightning and invisible swiftness collided the impact caused the floor to shatter and the entire ice citadel to tilt significantly.

-Kikigi …
The shadow of the black lightning sock bounced off.
“Ugh!?”
Sok screamed.
Sok’s men were shocked by the sight.
The ultimate wizard who transcended the limits of orcs is pushed by Azadin?
“emperor!”
“Sir Sok!”
The moment Sir Sok and Azadin stopped moving Sir Sok slashed Azadin’s waist with a torso cut while Azadin grabbed the ricasso of his longsword and thrust it towards Sir Sok’s face with his handguard.
Sir Sok launched a subduing attack while Azadin launched a killing attack.
But the moment their attacks collided a shockwave ran behind Sok’s back shattering the ice pillar and spire.
Sok’s torso slash was blocked by the blue executioner’s blade that Azadin carried.
Azadin blocked Sok’s attack with one hand holding the head of the axe like a tonfa.
“You’re not serious Sok.”
Sok used the water cannon and Azadin aimed for subjugation.
But surprisingly Azadin noticed that Sok wasn’t using his full power.
Azadin had no intention of killing Sok but Sok was too fast and too strong.
From the moment I used Hwajopungwol three times in a row the speed increased so much that each and every strike was too destructive.
“You won’t die since you’re undead right? Keep going. Show your true skills.”
But Sok shook his head as he looked at Azadin.
“No Your Majesty. This is all I have.”
“What is that…..”
Although Sok was nominally Azadin’s vassal until now he did not respect Azadin as an object of loyalty.
But why do you suddenly change your tone and act politely?
At that moment Azadin discovered Sok’s body and the heavy armor crumbling apart.
“My life is the very belief that I will ascend to the heavens by turning humanity into undead. From the moment that belief is broken I am no longer immortal.”
“Tch. Seriously…..”
Immortal wizards avoid death by storing their essence somewhere else.
If you keep this essence hidden while calling such a being a lich over time it will become delirious and mad and eventually split.
The soul and the body become separate entities.
But Sok did not separate his essence.
Instead he used his oath to turn humans into undead and separated his essence from his body.
It was a feat that only Sir Sok could do using advanced magic to become a lich while keeping the essence within the body.
The chances of your mind becoming corrupted are lower because you are with Jeongsu but if your beliefs are cracked you die.
Since anyone who attacked him beyond his physical body would die Sok was unable to regroup and challenge even after being defeated by the benefit of the immortal.
Of course who else but Azadin could defeat Lord Sok the leader of the Fimbul Horde and a legendary death knight?
It was not Azadin’s sword but Azadin’s words that struck down Sir Sok.
The moment he was convinced by Azadin he was doomed.
“I’m sorry.”
“No Your Majesty. Ever since I became disappointed in humans and decided to turn them into undead and force them to practice the virtues of the Knights Templar my life has been a nightmare of suffering. If only I could feel joy like Your Majesty.”
So said Sok and put down the Wendigo’s dagger his own sword and his magical staff the Rod.
Meanwhile Sok’s body continued to disintegrate.
“Master!”
The whites and vampires looked at the collapsing Soak in confusion.
“I command you for the last time. Immortals. Use your immortality to the fullest extent to create a future for all of the Knights! Protect this world until your body breaks apart and disappears!”
Sok gave his men an order they could not refuse.
“Master! Even without such an order I….”
“Dahlia. It was a long nightmare but it was bearable because I was with you.”
Sok looked at Dahlia and smiled bitterly.
The crack was now accelerating and reaching Soak’s heart.
“Then may your Majesty the Emperor continue to prosper. And you the knight who will fulfill Sir Planck’s prophecy.”
Sok knew that Azadin was the knight of Lord Planck’s prophecy.
The last knight appointed by the Knight of Wisdom Planck becomes the flower of chivalry.
It was an absurd prophecy but surprisingly it came true.
Sok the leader of the Fimbul Horde was completely destroyed.
A fierce wind blew away the remains of the body and it soon disappeared without a trace.
Dahlia sat down where Soak had disappeared.
“Sister.”
Wild Druid Cedrin felt his heart become complicated at the sight.
She became an undead and took it upon herself to purify her fallen blood relatives.
But if the Fimbul Horde offered themselves as cannon fodder for humanity he had no intention of killing her with his own hands.
What shocked her more was the deep relationship between Dahlia and Sok.
Do relationships continue even after death?
Then it could be that she had a strong aversion to white.
“Make no mistake Cedrin. You are right. White is a bloodthirsty demon. This urge and hunger has caused me to commit many ugly acts that I would not have done in my life.”
Dahlia said this out of fear that Cedrin’s heart would weaken and turned to Emperor Azadin.
“Then Your Majesty we the Fimbul Horde will do our best for humanity until this immortality is destroyed as commanded by our master. However we are lacking in military strategy so I ask that you lead us.”
Dahlia picked up Sok’s sword and rod from the floor and handed them to Azadin.
Azadin accepted and made the Fimbul Horde his own force.
