Night of the Soulless Heathens – 430

#430. Season of War 4
Triodana found it strange that the pressure from Azadin’s forces had disappeared from the rear.
Using nether magic against Azadin’s forces was originally planned but there were many on Azadin’s side who were familiar with nether magic and necromancy.
There’s no way I could retreat with this level of nether magic but for some reason the enemies aren’t pursuing me.
The reason became clear soon enough.
[King Sebalhan of Chitai is preparing to subdue Azadin.]
[The King’s Church also formed a punitive force to punish Azadin.]
Although Triodana cut off regular contact with the Northern Qi he still maintained a channel of communication with the Northern Qi.
The Northern Emperor Cohen Lionaire had access to the King’s Church as well as the Knights Templar’s religious network and it was through the Knights Templar’s network that he informed them that the Northern Emperor Cohen Lionaire had moved Chitai.
Triodana laughed.
“I know it’s a position that benefits me but I can’t say anything but these people are out of their minds. Humans….”
Triodana and the Wisdom Order were captured by Nether beings while studying Nether magic.
Although they originally pursued power by using immoral magic and damaging angel statues they still had a sense of mission in their hearts. However after the Nether’s messengers took control of them they completely turned into enemies of humanity.
But that is why Triodana could know so well.
Azadin is the true king who strives to protect humanity.
But humans had no intention of accepting it.
The messenger clan is the owner of the throne?
A person who has the will to protect the people regardless of bloodline is qualified to be king.
Then isn’t the King’s Church a truly foolish religion that has continued to repeat false teachings?
Rather than admit it they chose to kill and eliminate the king who had finally appeared after so long.
“I was human and still am but humans are really funny. Are you trying to step on Azadin now that Fimbulbert is approaching? The nobles of the nations are joining hands to destroy the evidence that they are wrong and committing such a disgrace.”
[Are you dissatisfied?]
From beyond the mirror the words of Bukje Cohen could be heard.
“No Father. We are happy.”
[Yes. ‘We’. Foolish and pitiful. Even if you enter the Wisdom Sect you are told not to follow their methods.]
The Northern Cohen Lionesses have long been wary of the Wisdom Order’s pursuit of power in unstable and dangerous ways.

Although he himself was from the Wisdom Order he drew a clear line in his heart and avoided indulging in the power of the Nether.
However the Wisdom Order became corrupted by their greed for the power of the Nether and Triodana who had been sent to watch over and control them also became corrupted.
“You call me foolish. Who do you think is more foolish?”
[That kind of story is just running parallel. Triodana. I will just use Cheetah to stir up the north of Azadin so you can use that information to your advantage.]
There was a hint of sympathy and contempt in the voice of the Northern Cohen Lioness.
Although he felt pity for his son who had fallen into the nether realm while carrying out his mission the Northern Emperor soon connected this feeling of pity with contempt.
Rather than showing mercy and compassion to people they end their miserable and painful lives by slitting their throats.
‘But even you you secretly feel inferior to King Azadin. If you just purge King Azadin you will be the only leader of humanity. But isn’t trying to eliminate your rival in this way proving your own inferiority?’
Triodana hung up the phone complaining.
As he disconnected darkness began to creep in around him.
Beautiful angels with blood-stained wings surround him.
Beautiful and alluring they look like goddesses but when Triodana squints her eyes she sees fleshy lumps shaped like angels with horrible tentacles and scales and thorns.
“Brother what does your father say?”
“….”
Triodana ignored the monsters who called him his brother and looked at his hands with a blurry gaze.
There is also a large hole in his hand and a sharp gaze is felt from the empty hole.
I feel terrified that I’m going crazy… but at the same time I feel laughter and a sense of liberation.
He is already one with this fear.
It is not he who should be feared but the enemies who stand in his way. Yes he has become one with fear so there is no need to fear.
“King Azadin is under attack by humans. They won’t be able to spare any effort to attack us.”
“then….”
“The Aranggi front should maintain a minimal front line and concentrate all its efforts on Fireglyph to cut off Azadin’s base.”
When Triodana said so the fallen angels all nodded their heads.
“Then immediately all troops….”
“That won’t do.”
“Why? Is it a trio?”
“This time it’s strange. Why did you send such a small number of troops?”
The angels found that strange.
As they said the fallen angels with blood-red wings had increased in great numbers.
They even destroyed the statues of the three archangels and created a large amount of angel blood which they used to reincarnate humans into angels.
Unlike the angel egg method used by the Wisdom Sect their method which can reincarnate even those who are already adults is of inferior quality but is producing far more fallen angels.
Nevertheless Triodana brought out only those who were originally knights to deceive the humans and fight against them thereby faking defeat on the front lines.
“If we show our true power humanity will unite. Yes. Then will the humans attack King Azadin?”
“But if we want to destroy Azadin wouldn’t it be possible to just mobilize all of our forces and destroy the Fireglyphs?”
“Even if humanity were to unite in the will of the New Testament and stand in our way… Netherstrom would end and the old gods would roam the land once more.”
“The old gods will once again be the rulers of this land so why bother?”
“Of course it is necessary.”

Triodana asserted.
“It is to destroy the greatest king chosen by the Yaegas gods and the three archangels with the hands of humans. Since you do not understand the aesthetics of this I am taking on the role of a prophet in your stead.”
Triodana said so and left behind a minimal number of defensive forces and went to attack Fireglyph with the remaining forces.
*********
Prince Calintz’s hair was turning white from stress.
“What is this?!”
Under the Fireglyph the troops of the Order of Wisdom of the Knights of Salvation gather.
It’s a blatant signal that they’re going to take over Fireglyph.
‘No matter what we are brothers of the same Rescue Knights but you are trying to openly attack us just because we belong to different factions. Don’t you have even the slightest bit of dignity?’
Fortunately Fireglyph had a massive wall with cannons which was a hellish sight for any enemy attempting to approach the fortress.
However since this is the rearmost area of the Azadin Army the troops here are only the transport unit and the escort group that protects the transport unit.
It is not enough to conduct a proper battle.
Fortunately the training instructor of the Chadra Ogel and the Azadin army Legion Kalan is in the Naisandokhar region so we can call them in…
In the Naisandhokar region Chitai’s army was also advancing.
“Your Majesty.”
The commander of the Northern Aragasa Jan brought a letter to Prince Kalintz.
“What kind of letter is it?”
“A letter from Ascendar.”
“…Why did you have to send it as a letter?”
Kalintz frowned as he looked at the letter sent by the Northern Cohen Lionaire.
Cohen preferred to transmit most orders by word of mouth.
Because there is no evidence left….
However things that needed to be documented were documented but Prince Kalintz thought that this was a matter that did not warrant documentation.
Prince Calintz opened the letter with some doubt.
The content of the letter was a recommendation from the Northern Qi to open the city gates and surrender saying that they would forgive their past mistakes.
In other words the forces of the Rescue Knights’ Wisdom Sect that are attacking now are in the same group as the Northern Qi.
“under….”
Prince Kalintz was quite disappointed with the changed appearance of the Northern Qi.
The Northern Emperor was not a very good father.
However the powerful men of the time are usually not good fathers. In particular the royal family members who inherited the blood of the Yaegasu god age at a slower rate than humans and the rate is different for each person so neither they nor their families know when they will die.
In such a situation there is sometimes even a fight between the rich and the poor over the throne.
Northern Qi was certainly not a good father but he was a good king.
‘I will become a great new king who will unite humanity by embracing the King’s Church and the Angelic Faith.’
The vision that the Northern Emperor showed and his sincerity towards that vision made his children understand that their fathers were negligent in raising them and sometimes used them as warriors.
But what about the current Northern Qi?
He became a man of power and honor who was willing to change his own principles in order to push out Azadin.
“What would you like to do?”
The 10th platoon leader asked.
“What about the Northern Aragatsas?”
“We have joined the Chitai side as reinforcements. The Aragasa are originally a nomadic people.”
“What do you think Zan? Do you think King Azadin can win this time?”
“….”
Zan kept his mouth shut at that question.
“why?”
“In fact the person who holds the biggest key right now is the prince.”
“I?”
“Yes. King Azadin will lose all his base if Fireglyph falls. Prince Kalintz who guards this Fireglyph is the one who carries Azadin’s fate on his shoulders.”
“Yes that’s right. Then if I surrender of course Father will reward me greatly right?”
“….”
“Isn’t it?”
“In His Majesty Cohen’s case frankly after the castle has fallen I don’t think there’s any reason to reward the traitor separately. Shouldn’t we be grateful just for keeping him alive?”
“I know. There is no such thing as surrender in this situation.”
Prince Calintz liked Azadin no matter what.
Azadin’s heroic deeds and miraculous victories moved his heart and he was also touched by the way he generously provided food to the refugees to save his people.
And what I love most is that he makes these sacrifices and never lets it show.
Just giving food to people would require enormous sacrifice in these harsh times… Azadin doesn’t show it.
They try to make use of the unnecessary refugees by turning them into workers and soldiers and somehow give them a way to make a living without begging or charity.
Actions speak louder than a hundred words.
“The achievements of such a person cannot be destroyed by the betrayal of a small-minded person like me.”
Prince Kalintz called himself a swindler but his men loved him for that very reason.
