    #334. Samunhoe 4

“What’s the big deal? Where am I….”

Bishop Sehnat who was already irritated felt angry at the messenger who dared to barge into the monastery.

The Samunhoe is a very serious event within the Rescue Knights but why is the person receiving it here being rebellious and why isn’t the messenger coming in? Everything is a mess.

    But isn’t Jan speaking seriously?

“If you don’t tell me right now I’ll have a hard time dealing with it.”

“Excuse me Bishop. Let me hear.”

Prince Calintz asked for the understanding of Sir Gareth and Sir Triodana.

“What’s going on that makes you so fussed? How dare you barge into the Samunhoe Hall? If it’s something trivial you won’t be able to avoid punishment!”

“The Kingdom of Banreung has been destroyed!”

    “Really? It’s nothing… Ah.”

Prince Kalintz who had been dismissing the matter as nothing serious only realized the gravity of the situation after he had said his own words.

    “what?”

Everyone couldn’t help but doubt their ears.

    *********

    “…….”

Triodana and Sir Gareth were dumbfounded by the messenger’s words.

If it is true that the Kingdom of Banreung has fallen then this is not the time to be holding a meeting of monks.

“The Kingdom of Banreung has fallen? Rumors may spread like that but what exactly happened?”

Azadin asked rising from his seat.

“Refugees are pouring in from the Kingdom of Banreung. They all claim that monsters are rising from deep within the Kingdom of Banreung. Everyone is escaping from Banreung because of the monsters.”

“What about the military of the Banreung Kingdom and the scholars and wizards of the Academy?”

“They too could not endure it and escaped… and according to rumors many of the magicians were transformed into monsters.”

“Where did you see the refugees?”

“Refugees are arriving from both the Sandokkar Gate and the Arangian Gate at the same time. Ships carrying refugees are also arriving in coastal cities. It’s happening simultaneously.”

“Hmm. Then it’s unlikely that it was just a simple information operation. After all…..”

Azadin looked at Bishop Sehnath the chairman of the council with a bitter smile.

“Excuse me but could you please end this meeting now Bishop? I can’t even imagine how much damage will be done if we continue this useless meeting.”

“You! No! This is not it!”

    “What do you mean Bishop?”

“Don’t think you’ll slip through my fingers like this! You soulless blasphemer! You blasphemous corrupted man! You may be able to fool others by joining the Rescue Knights but you won’t be able to fool me!”

    “….”

Azadin sighed as he watched Sehnath who was furious and drooling from his mouth not hiding his senility.

As he put his hand into his bosom Triodana and Gareth flinched in surprise and stood beside Bishop Sehnath.

This was because he was wary that an enraged Azadin might kill Bishop Sehnat.

But what Azadin took out was a silver coin.

    “Now take a good look.”

Azadin twirled a silver coin between his fingers in front of Bishop Sehnat.

After playing with his hands for a while the silver coins suddenly disappeared from Azadin’s hands.

    “What?!”

    “…Where did he go?”

“What are you doing? Why are you acting like a clown all of a sudden?”

“No I’m just testing to see if I can fool your eyes. I told you I can’t fool you.”

    “This guy!”

The bishop realized that Azadin was mocking him so he suppressed his anger and clutched his chest.

Even though he covered himself up in a splendid bishop’s robe inside he was a narrow-minded self-centered and shabby old man.

The dignity of the bishop has disappeared and an old man with shrunken brain cells on the verge of senility is sitting there.

Azadin had not been afraid of Bishop Sehnath to begin with but now he completely ignored him and turned to Triodana and Gareth to ask.

“Okay so the situation is changing rapidly. How many troops do you have the members of the committee? I think it’s about two companies of Tercios…”

    “….”

“Please write down the specifications of the gunpowder and bullets you usually use along with the two-week usage amount. I will make sure that they are supplied smoothly. Usually food and supplies will be provided by Fireglyph. Right?”

    “Oh of course.”

Prince Kalintz said so watching Azadin’s expression.

“Then shall we go to Sandokkar with me and see for ourselves how things are going? You have a duty to confirm that I have not annexed Sandokkar or invaded the Kingdom of Banling by force. That means that you must go there even if you don’t want to.”

Gareth smiled bitterly at Azadin’s quick response.

In this situation Azadin was planning to conscript Gareth and Triodana instead.

Azadin was trying to use the troops that Gareth and Triodana had brought as well as themselves.

But there is no reason to refuse.

Moreover it was true that I was moved by Azadin’s attitude of immediately worrying about the supply of ammunition and gunpowder.

As commanders of the Tercio the thing that gave them the most headache was the superiors in the rear who neglected supplies.

“I understand Sir Azadin. I think it would be better for me to see the situation for myself rather than asking you.”

    “I guess so…..”

Triodana was in a difficult position. Unlike Gareth Triodana had a reason to be hostile to Azadin. He had a mission from his great father Cohen Lionaire of the North… But in the current situation Azadin was right.

“Then please follow me. There is no time left.”

Azadin kicked the chairman of the council and came out.

“Stop! Who is doing what he wants! Look! Lord Triodana! Kill that traitor! Quickly!”

Bishop Sehnath could not stand it anymore and immediately ordered Triodana to kill Azadin.

Triodana simply smiled bitterly and ignored Bishop Sehnath’s order. Triodana also had a strong desire to deal with Azadin as per her father’s orders but in the current situation she could not possibly touch Azadin.

“Bishop. Since we’re here we need to investigate first. We’ll head to Sandokar first. You Bishop will rest here at Fireglyph.”

    “What the… gulp!”

Bishop Sehnat who was furious could not hold it in any longer and vomited blood.

My nose is bleeding and my eyes are bloodshot and I am shedding tears of blood.

    “Ugh…..”

When Bishop Sehnat collapsed the priests around him were shocked and helped him up.

    “what….”

No matter how old Bishop Sehnath was he was a man of integrity until he came to Fireglyph.

    “ha….”

Bishop Sehnat vomited blood and collapsed but Triodana left Bishop Sehnat in the care of the priests and began to move with Azadin.

    *********

    “ha.”

Azadin sighed as he left the meeting room.

The vampires coming wasn’t that scary. The ceramite longsword Aurelia Dawn that Azadin had was the very embodiment of nightmares for vampires.

But the kingdom of Banrung has fallen. What is this?

The unexpected happened but Azadin had to pretend to be as calm as possible.

‘I should look into it. I should control my facial expressions better.’

Azadin’s warlords are maintained entirely by Azadin’s charisma.

Azadin displayed his quick wit in critical situations and resolved the situation acting as if he had expected something like this to happen and thus garnering loyalty from his subordinates. In this anxious situation where Fimbulbert was approaching Azadin’s calm attitude reassured his subordinates and earned their trust. In a place filled with the fog of delusion if there is a lighthouse even if it is a lighthouse that guides ships to the reef ships will be drawn to it.

Only when Azadin shows a firm stance will people trust and follow him.

“Captain! We’re in trouble. They say that monsters are pouring out of the Banreung Kingdom!”

Azadin’s men the soldiers stationed at Fireglyph approached making a fuss.

“I know that. Can you contact Sandokar?”

“That’s… There’s no problem with Sandokar but you know what? The caravan is stranded.”

    “….”

As Azadin took control of Sandokar he created another caravan and sent it to the Kingdom of Banling to investigate the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Banling.

The merchant group led by Delia of the Vandyke Trading Company was joined by the female thieves Camilla and Countach and the merchant group set out into the Banreung Kingdom.

However when the Kingdom of Banreung was destroyed contact with the caravan was cut off.

    “What’s the status of Firewinter?”

“I’m exhausted. I’ve been forced to march all the way from Sandokar to here and I can’t go back to Sandokar. I need you to give me at least one day to rest.”

Firewinter the hippogriff that Azadin rode in was exhausted.

“Good. I guess I’ll have to prepare for Firewinter’s recovery. If we rush off right now we’ll miss out on a lot. With Deliana and Camilla Countach in the caravan we should be able to hold out for that long.”

Azadin looked at Triodana and Gareth.

“You guys need maintenance too right?”

    “Of course Sir Azadin.”

Suddenly something unexpected happened and we had to march so we had to prepare new food weapons and supplies.

Azadin’s hippogriff Firewinter also needed a rest so he decided to prepare for the march in the meantime.

‘I want to run to rescue the caravan right now… but at times like this I have to stay calm…’

His subordinates and Gareth Triodana admired Azadin for maintaining his composure on the outside while being inwardly flustered.

‘How can you be so calm in this situation? You really are a man. You have the skills to take down the Wisdom Sect.’

Gareth had been admiring Azadin from the beginning so he never thought that his current calm attitude was an act.

‘There must be something to this man’s opinion….’

Gareth decided to follow Azadin’s orders and ordered his men to immediately procure supplies and prepare to march.

Meanwhile Triodana was feeling feelings bordering on jealousy towards Azadin.

‘He is an enemy but he is great. He is too great which is a problem. The only one who can overcome this chaos and be reborn as an idol for all people is our great father. Oh father what should I do?’

He was jealous of Azadin yet wavered from his firm stance.

Many people are seeing visions of destruction as evil forces worsen even the weather.

In this situation Triodana who had been reincarnated as a Celestial was also trembling with anxiety.

The one who holds him in place is the ambitious Northern Emperor Cohen who has been coordinating the Knights Templar and the Northern Kingdoms for a long time with his unwavering ambition.

But now there is Azadin opposing Cohen…

‘Follow first. And if necessary remove if possible!’

Triodana prepared to purge Azadin and he also prepared his men.

Everyone didn’t know Azadin’s speed and was only guessing based on Azadin’s indifferent appearance.
