However Azadin had no intention of killing Sok by trickery.
‘The funny thing is only Selim the Minotaur and Sir Sok the orc and undead are proper hospitalers.’
Among the knights that Azadin had seen since joining the Salvation Knights these two were the only ones who truly had affection for the Salvation Knights.
“Lord Sok! I propose to you instead! If you will free those in the Fimbul Horde who have not been turned into undead by your own hands I will accept you as my subordinate!”
“Hahaha. Are you in your right mind? What could be better than the conditions I have set for you? Is it Aha Sedrin’s will? To liberate her bloodline? Then you should accept my conditions even more. There is no time to waste. How long do you think they will leave the Fireglyph in your care? If you do not take St. Mallory in one fell swoop while you are in control of the Fireglyph….”
“This is not a joke this is your last chance Sir Sok.”
“….”
Sir Sok who had been smiling until just a moment ago began to breathe heavily.
He seemed to understand that what Azadin was saying was no joke.
“Are you serious Sir Azadin? You would spit on my goodwill and insult me for the sake of those who have defiled even the devotion of angels?”
The wrath of the Sok Lord began to shake the entire Black Forest.
An army of undead enters the Black Forest.
Cedrin immediately moved the Black Forest itself to block the path of the undead army with the trees of the forest but a sudden firebomb fell from the sky and burned the trees blocking the path.
-Bang!
Firebombs fell all over the forest starting blazes.
“Very well. All I ask is a safe passage through Fireglyph Lord Azadin. It would be a shame to turn you into a wight but since we can’t communicate this is the way to go.”
Sok planned to make Azadin an undead and subjugate him using him to get through the Fireglyph.
Azadin sighed as he watched him spare no expense in conquering the entire Order.
“Sedrin!”
“huh!?”
“Open the way. I will go out.”
“Are you in your right mind? Your physical condition is….”
“Now that Lord Sok has come out of the Viar Swamp it’s time for a reconciliation.”
“Oh I see. Damn it. How did things end up like this?”
Sedrin moved the trees to create a clearing. No it was originally a clearing but he had blocked it with trees to prevent Sir Sok from landing on his wyvern so he now opened it up.

Azadin stepped into the open space and revealed himself.
*********
“Hahaha. Azadin. You’ve revealed yourself now.”
Sir Sok who was riding a wyvern and roaming the skies saw Azadin and landed in front of him.
Before they knew it Sir Sok’s white men had also appeared between the trees and gathered in the clearing having passed through the black forest.
“Ugh!? Dahlia!?”
Cedrin frowned as she saw her older sister Dahlia standing next to Sok looking no different than when she was alive.
“Cedrin. We were also the guardians of the Black Forest. Blocking the path with trees is useless.”
“Shut up. You’re not my sister. You’re just a soul tainted by dark magic imitating my sister.”
“Haha. Is that so? But why did you call me Dahlia?”
At that moment Lord Sok who had dismounted from the wyvern took a step toward Azadin.
“Stop.”
Azadin lifted Aurelia Dunn above his head.
“You need my body to get through the Fireglyph safely right? If you take even one more step I will ignite the ceramite and burn my body to the bone!”
“Haha. Are you out of your mind? Are you going to commit suicide just to stop me?”
No one in their right mind would set themselves on fire. If even a single spark causes a human to writhe in pain how can one burn oneself alive to the bone?
But everyone there knew that Azadin’s words were not an empty promise.
Sir Sok stopped walking and the whites also stopped moving glaring at Azadin.
Only the breathing of the living filled the air.
At that moment Azadin put down Aurelia Dunn whom he had been holding up.
“Of course I’m joking. There’s no need to kill yourself in front of an opponent you can beat. It’s just that there are other options.”
“then….”
“Just Sok. Sadly you too are defiling the devotion of an angel.”
“What? Are you trying to insult me again?”
“Sir Sok it is virtue that is to be guarded not the angels themselves.”
“Is that an excuse for those who in their thirst for power blaspheme the devotion of angels? Where is the virtue in them?”
“There is no virtue but only the helpless ones who tremble in fear.”
The darkness of the Chadra Plateau is not just a word it is a reality in itself and is full of supernatural powers.
The source of all these powers is a tiny fraction of the blood of the Old Gods that lies buried within the Netherstrom.
The Knights who faced Netherstrom knew better than anyone the power of the Old Gods and the evil that would be unleashed in the Age of Jupiter.
That is why they are afraid and obsessed with angels.
“Ah Sir Azadin. I am the same age as Sir Planck who appointed you. Do you think I don’t know that? Now that the Yaegas and the three archangels have disappeared the Knights cannot trust the promises of the angels and are obsessed with the blood of the angels. I also know very well that they commit sins out of fear!”
Sir Sok was sad.
What Azadin is talking about is the beliefs he had in the past the words he uttered in the past.
Yes he knew very well why the Knights were obsessed with angel blood.
“What you are saying was once my voice. I too felt pity for the Knights thinking they were just poor people who were afraid. But do you know? Pity is the right of the strong alone. Pity is only granted when you are in a position to punish judge and convict them.”
“Then you are not strong Sir Sok.”

“…That’s right. It took me a long time to realize that. So I can’t stand to see you make the same mistakes I did.”
Sir Sok lifted his sword and flicked the center of the blade with his index finger.
An ominous black aura began to rise from Sir Sok’s blade.
A cold chill spread through the area surrounding Sir Sok.
“You’re lost Sir Sok.”
Azadin looked at Sok with a bitter expression.
When Azadin heard his own voice from Medium it was salvation.
But even though Azadin let Sir Sok hear the voice of the past it was only painful for Sir Sok.
“No this is my belief Lord Azadin. Please do not let me kill you with my own hands. I do not wish to harm you who holds my old beliefs…”
“No Sir Sok. You can’t beat me.”
Azadin said so and like Sir Sok he flicked Aurelia Dunn’s center with his index finger.
A brilliant golden flame burst out from the ceramite longsword.
But the fire is completely different from before.
It spreads out from Azadin like the warmth of a warm spring day pushing away the coldness of Sir Sok.
“what?!”
Sir Sok was surprised by Azadin’s power beyond his own.
A white magical force was vibrating around Azadin.
“No… what is this….”
Sir Sok stepped back in amazement at the power of the sacred white magic gushing out so violently.
The entire forest awakens to life and the forest flames that Lord Sok had magically lit go out.
“This can’t be happening.”
The undead of Sok are suffering. Even the Wights Dahlia frown and retreat hiding in the shadows of the forest.
I didn’t even use any magic I just released my power and it’s like this!
Selim was so moved by the sight that he cried out loud.
“Oh my God! This is a miracle!”
“No… isn’t that a scam? That guy is said to be of the Emperor’s bloodline? Then….”
Sedrin suspected that Azadin was using white magic from the blood of the Yaegas gods and was passing it off as a miracle for the Knights Templar.
“He obviously used the power of the New King’s Book.”
Niselda also confirmed Sedrin’s suspicions.
Niselda watched from the darkness as Azadin fought in Sok’s mansion secretly drawing out the magical power of the Book of the New King that had been dormant in his body.
“yes?”
“But now this is… I can tell. It’s not the power of the New King’s Book. It’s the power of an angel.”
“….”
And Sir Sok knew better than anyone else.
The power emanating from Azadin is a miraculous power granted to the guardians of the three virtues that the Knights of the Salvation Order so desperately desire.
Azadin personally demonstrated the promise that even those without divine blood could exercise miraculous powers.
“The promise of the angels has already been fulfilled. Miracles are already on this earth…”
Azadin aimed Aurelia Dunn at Sok.
“Trust Sir Sok. Light the way with wisdom advance with courage and look down with compassion. For even when clouds cover the sky the stars still shine in their places and what you once believed but have lost is still true.”
“But that is the right of the strong Sir Azadin.”
“Would you like to try it?”
“Of course.”
Then Selim stood beside Azadin.
“Sir Sok! You are truly blind! How can you not know the miracle that is right before your eyes?”
“No that’s not what I’m trying to test.”
Sir Sok put away his sword and stepped back.
“Sir Azadin. You can’t summon that miraculous power whenever you want can you? If you could you wouldn’t have suffered such a loss in my mansion.”
“….”
“Then it would be best to hide that miracle. The Knights will never tolerate you. That is what I am testing you on. Can you really change the Knights now?”
“But my lord if a new Chapter Master comes to Fireglyph Lord Azadin will be overthrown. With Fireglyph now a no man’s land it is time for the Fimbul Horde to fulfill its aspirations….”
Dahlia was taken aback when Sir Sok tried to back off and stopped him.
If Azadin had missed this moment with the Fireglyphs in his possession his plans to subdue the Knights Templar with the Fimbul Horde would have been put on hold for a long time.
“No I will believe Lord Azadin. But I warn you. If you fail… you will become like me. Know that your faith was once mine! It is no free favor to entrust you with the wishes of the Fimbul Horde… If you fail I will make you pay with all that I have!”
Sir Sok left those words behind and mounted his wyvern again.
The undead armies of the Fimbul Horde began to retreat from the Black Forest.
“…….”
Azadin sighed softly as he watched the retreating undead army with the Sword of Ceramite beginning to fade.
