When word of the rebellion at the Southeast Rock Fortress reached Sir Braham he apologized to Azadin.
“I’m sorry. I’m not popular. And my body looks like this.”
After breaking up with Chashan he had not touched drugs and was suffering from withdrawal symptoms. He took off his armor and wrapped himself in a blanket and joined Azadin’s expeditionary force.
He showed his will to join the suppression even if he had to lie down on one side of the cart carrying supplies.
“Still I want to accompany you. The Southeast Rock Fortress is my original duty station. You will need information about it and my empty position.”
Azadin allowed him to accompany him.
“Of course Sir Braham. You are welcome to join us. Shall we go?”
Azadin formed a conquest force consisting of the half-elf squad leader Legion and ten of his squad members four fireguards the half-orc Countach female thief Camilla the alchemist Giacomo and the blood mage Bernard.
The expeditionary force set out to conquer the Dongnambawi Fortress accompanied by Chashan who was bound in black chains.
Since Giacomo was already considered dead he shaved off all his hair and put on a helmet to hide his identity.
Although his tongue had not yet fully healed and he had to write he hung a wooden board around his neck while on the march soaked a quill in water and wrote with the water trying to communicate in writing.
‘So the ones we have to deal with are the Dwarven Arrow guys? They’re the ones who kidnapped my daughter. They’re my enemies.’
“Be careful. There are fire guards.”
Azadin watched the eyes of the four Fireguards.
The other subordinates would understand if Azadin had saved Giacomo and taken him away but those Fireguards are the ones who will be loyal to the Chapter Master in the future.
If they find out that Azadin had saved Giacomo who was wanted by the Knights Templar and taken him away they will never see good things happen.
‘It’s okay because it’s not verbal. And those idiots probably don’t know how to write either.’
“There’s no harm in being careful.”
‘okay.’
Giacomo stood close to Azadine and wrote so small that only he could see it.
‘Oh you really talk a lot.’
Azadin sighed as he watched Giacomo continue to try to communicate with him in writing.
“Why did you kill the Knights Templar’s geological survey team?”
‘Actually I killed him but I didn’t kill him.’
“What are you talking about?”

‘They were suffering from mutations. They were branded with the same brand as me. I had to kill them before they mutated. Otherwise monsters would come out of their bodies and kill me.’
“Then who branded it?”
‘I don’t know for sure. The one who branded me was a priest of the Knights Templar.’
“Priest?”
‘Yes. He was a priest not a knight. But he had a big hood over his head so I couldn’t see his face.’
“What did they make you do? What exactly did they want from you?”
‘I asked for the angel blood I had secretly taken from the Knights Templar. But I had already changed the angel blood into that medicine…’
Giacomo quickly wiped the blackboard with a rag and erased the writing with water.
“Where did you get the blood of angels?”
‘I stole it from the alchemy workshop of the Wisdom Order.’
“You’re in the alchemy workshop?”
‘Yes. And in large quantities. It’s usually used in ceramite casting work.’
In other words Giacomo was involved in the ceramite manufacturing process stole angel blood and then joined the geological survey team in that state but was attacked and branded by an unknown priest and controlled. That’s how it can be summarized.
“There is a large amount of angel blood… I guess they use angel blood to make Celestials.”
‘I don’t know the recipe for Celestial either.’
“Are there any other special features? Like a secret you found out while working?”
‘I don’t know for sure but I think angel blood is mined at St. Mallory.’
“Huh? That’s a city?”
‘I don’t know either. But I think that the blood of angels comes from St. Mallory because such a heavy object was not moved anywhere else day or night but only within St. Mallory.’
“What do you know about Celestial?”
‘That’s quite a number. But Celestial research wasn’t my job. It was a secret known only to the highest-ranking members of the Wisdom Order. I’m just one of the alchemy slaves of Banreung Academy who can be called a student. I’m no different from Bernard the genius.’
“What kind of person is Bernard?”
“Ahem. Knock knock knock….”
When his name was called Bernard coughed then started coughing for real.
‘He was someone the dwarves cherished very much. Well at Banreung Academy everyone who isn’t a dwarf is treated like a slave.’
If Giacomo’s words were true then Banreung Academy seemed like a truly terrible place.
*********
After two days of marching the party arrived at the Dongnambawi Fortress.
The Dongnambawi Fortress had already prepared for battle with its doors barred and its defenses in place.
The dampness outside the walls reinforced with logs and sandbags is ominous.
The dwarf sorcerers who had noticed the approach of Azadin’s party locked the gates of the fortress and began to convey their demands through amplification magic.
“Are you here? The messenger clan!”
“Release Chashan!”
“And give us freedom of trade!”
“Otherwise the supply corps of the Rescue Knights will be greeted as corpses!”
“Burn it.”
“Yeah. I’ll burn it… okay?”

Everyone was surprised.
As the alchemist Giacomo spread his arms wide the hem of his clothes lifted revealing the leather bag he was carrying at his waist.
He took a glass bottle out of it.
“Hahahahaha.”
Alchemist Fire.
This is a secret fire bullet used by alchemists.
Here Giacomo uses blood magic and the alchemical solution turns into a stream of bullets that hit various parts of the coca field and soon rises up into a pillar of fire.
-Whoooosh!
In an instant the flames began to engulf the poppy and coca fields.
Giacomo was out of his mind perhaps because of the joy of taking revenge on the dwarves.
“Bu-ta-ra! It’s all burn-ber-ye-ra!”
Even with his short tongue he shouted and cursed and swore at others.
“Hey that crazy guy! I knew it! Hey! Braham! Are you going to watch this? How much did it cost! How much trouble do you think it took to make it this much?”
Sir Braham was a drug addict.
After arriving on the Chadra Plateau he was terrified by visions of destruction and succumbed to Chashan’s violence escaping into drugs and becoming Chashan’s loyal dog.
From the perspective of such a severe drug addict the sight of a farm burning down is an unacceptable sight like throwing away gold.
But Braham spoke firmly to Azadin.
“Burn it Sir Azadin. Your will be done.”
“I… I… You idiot. You think you can quit now because you feel good? After a while you’ll be begging like a dog for some more medicine! It’s always been like that!”
Chashan watched in anger as Alchemist Fire burned the drug farm. He thought he could reduce the damage by putting it out quickly but that would require his men to open the gates and come out.
There are drug addicts among the drug smuggling organizations so it must be very painful for them to see the raw material fields burning.
indeed….
“The gates are opening!”
The thief Camilla warned.
Drug addicts who couldn’t stand to watch their drug farms burn down were rushing out through the gates of their fortress.
Among them were the dwarven sorcerers who led the rebellion. They rode out proudly in splendid dwarven armor and mounted on wild pigs with fangs called Wolfschwein.
“Hey! You guys! What the hell are you doing!”
“Do you know how much this costs?”
“Get out there and turn it all off!”
The dwarf sorcerers shouted at their human subordinates to go out and defeat the enemies and put out the fires in the farm.
“But they say that the chieftain’s messenger clan is a master archer. If they open the gate and go out won’t they get shot by arrows?”
“The alchemist is setting fire! I don’t know if it’s gunpowder or alchemist’s fire but it’s so scary…”
“Don’t worry! Our magic will protect you so neither arrows nor fire will reach you!”
But an arrow flew into the helmet of the dwarf sorcerer who said those words.
A wall of power formed around the bodies of the dwarf sorcerers.
But the flying arrow simply tore through the barrier of power and transformed into a blue comet striking the dwarf sorcerer’s helmet.
“Ugh!”
The pitch bounced off and blood spurted out.
Surprisingly the arrow that flew in was so powerful that it was able to penetrate the barrier created by the dwarf sorcerers and even deform their helmets.
The dwarf sorcerer fell to the ground and was trampled by his companions who followed him.
“Creak!”
“Oh my god! Shit! It’s Azure Steel!”
The dwarf sorcerers were taken aback when they noticed that their opponent had fired Azuresteel arrows.
Weapons made of Azure Steel are specialized for destroying armor so arrows fired from them are deadly.
Another barrage of Azure Steel arrows flew at the dwarf sorcerers.
The surprised dwarf sorcerers spread out layers of force curtains to block the arrows.
However two arrows reached their target simultaneously destroying the force barrier and striking the dwarf sorcerers before a new force barrier could form.
The messenger clan’s specialty was the two-shot bow.
“Ugh!”
The dwarf sorcerers could not withstand Azadin’s arrows and all fell from their horses.
“It’s better to use up expensive arrows quickly than to be stingy with them. Alright. Then Legion. Countach. Charge.”
After confirming that the enemy commander had fallen from his horse Azadin ordered a charge with Legion and Countach as the leaders of the assault force.
“Yes sir!”
“Ugh!”
When Legion transformed into a werewolf and charged the morale of the soldiers at the Southeast Rock Fortress plummeted.
“Ugh! We surrender!”
“We are Lord Braham’s men. We were threatened by the dwarves!”
Sir Braham’s men surrendered immediately and the other criminals did not dare to attack the werewolf Legion.
In the end the battle ended in an instant.
Azadin captured the Southeast Rock Fortress in a single battle.
*********
“Damn it. If you win why don’t you put out the fire? Isn’t it your property now?”
Chashan was outraged as he watched his farm burn.
“I was planning to burn it from the beginning. It turned out well because you rebelled.”
From Azadin’s point of view it was a good thing that he was going to burn down this drug farm anyway.
If the smuggling ring had surrendered and then burned the farm the resentment would have been enormous.
“If we burn this what are we going to eat now? How much will we have left if we farm other things? Those who farm here will continue to be poor! Do you have any countermeasures for the decrease in income?”
Chashan was furious at Azadin for destroying the foundation he had built and he vented his grievances on this and that.
“I don’t agree with that dwarf but what are we going to do now Captain?”
Camilla asked Azadin.
“Why do you seem dissatisfied?”
“It’s ridiculous to tell drug traffickers to live properly now. And they’re addicts. When they run out of drugs they’ll start to act up again. And in fact poppies and marijuana are grown everywhere. It’s not hard to become addicts again.”
Camilla asked. Azadin’s answer was concise.
“That’s a problem for the next Chapter Master to consider. I’m just a temporary one. Now that this place is sorted out shall we go and conquer the next one?”
“Huh? What? Are you serious?”
Camilla couldn’t understand what on earth Azadin was up to.
