#266.Chadra’s Loser 4
“Huh?! This is it.”
Sir Braham bewildered by the unexpected situation tried to draw his sword but Legion rushed at him and grabbed his wrist.
Legion transformed into a wolf and thrust his sharp teeth into Lord Braham’s neck.
“Be quiet old man. If you don’t want to leave this world today.”
The half-orc Countach also pulled out a large iron-like pulsion and threatened the others.
‘Oh what a mistake. We should have left Fireglyph sooner. Of all the Chadra Ogels they were the first to target us.’
Sir Braham knew why Azadin had come to Chashan.
Among the Chadra Ogels the one with the best organization and money was the one that the smuggling king Chashan Azadin had to subdue first.
But who would have thought that they would come after me on the very day the talks broke down?
‘More than anything Chashan fell down in one go.’
Chashan was also incredibly strong in a fistfight. Up until now he had been the type of person who would tie each other’s wrists stand on a barrel of liquor and subdue them all with a fistfight.
A natural fighter and a powerful red magic sorcerer.
I never thought that such a Chashan would be neutralized with a single blow during a clash with Azadin.
furthermore….
“awesome….”
“Hey Emma.”
Even among Chashan’s subordinates there were those who were obsessed with Azadin.
The martial arts performed by Azadin who had a handsome appearance and restrained movements were like art in themselves.
“Krrrrrrr!”
An angry Chashan arose.
His jaw was broken and bloody but he still tried to cast the spell with hostility.
“Okay stop. If you do any more I’ll kill you.”
With Azadin’s warning Countach thrust the blade of the pulsion into Chashan’s throat.
“Krrrrr.”
His jaw was broken blood was leaking from his mouth and a cold blade was pointed at his neck.

Even in this situation Chashan continued speaking without bending.
“Do you think I would tremble in fear of death?!”
“Why aren’t you afraid of death?”
Azadin questioned Chashan’s shout.
“…what?”
Chashan was taken aback by the unexpected question.
Azadin crossed his legs and looked deeply into Chashan’s eyes earnestly asking him.
“What do you want to prove by transcending death that you are not afraid of?”
“Because if I die after being beaten by a fool like you I’ll still be a laughing stock even after I die!”
When Chashan said that Azadin sighed.
“…Then you shouldn’t resist now even more. You’ll end up dying after being beaten by a fool like me.”
“This kid!”
Light boils in Chashan’s eyes again.
But at that moment Kuntachi struck Chashan’s chin with the side of the blade.
Even though I hit it lightly the charcoal rolled away.
“Open your eyes you. I will not forgive you for looking at me like that in front of Captain Azadin.”
Kuntachi didn’t seem to like Chashan’s eyes.
Azadin also did not like Chashan.
“That’s not courage. That’s a worse kind of cowardice to choose suicide because you’re afraid of being laughed at.”
“What?!”
Chashan was indignant spewing foam from his mouth like a crab or crayfish.
Calling himself a coward?! No one has ever called him a coward before.
“Chashan. What did you hope to achieve by growing your power? What did you want that made you sell drugs for money? That’s what I want to hear.”
“You little brat! How much do you pretend to know about me?”
“That’s why I’m asking.”
-Clang!
A black steel chain appeared in Azadin’s hand.
At first glance it appears to be a thin chain that can be easily broken but the cold air unique to black steel gives it an extraordinary presence.
As Azadin threw the chain and wrapped it around Chashan invoking the curse the glowing tattoos on Chashan’s body began to lose their shine.
The tattoo which had lost its shine and soon turned cold like a cooling lump of iron made Chashan feel embarrassed.
The magic power doesn’t move at all.
“Hey you… you bastard! If you get rid of me my organization won’t stay still!”
If you eliminate the head of a criminal organization the gangs under him will start fighting for power which will only make things more chaotic. That’s why eliminating Chashan was not a wise move.
It would be an even more reckless action for Azadin who temporarily took control of Fireglyph. However…
“If it’s something you have to handle you have to prepare for it.”
Azadin said so boldly.
Rather than dealing with Chashan they chose to fight Chashan’s organization head-on.

“So everyone here? That would be great.”
But then Sir Braham arose.
“There is another shelter besides this one Sir Azadin.”
“What?!”
Chashan who was watching that scene was startled.
“This bastard betrayed me…”
“Don’t force yourself to talk Chashan. Your prognosis will not be good when you are treated later.”
Sir Braham said this while worrying about Chashan’s health. However Chashan knew that he had definitely betrayed him because he did not always call him Boss and flatter him in a servile manner.
“You’re dead!
But that was all Chashan said.
At Azadin’s beckoning Kuntachi brought a rope and a gag and tied Chashan’s mouth.
“My jaw is broken so don’t just talk nonsense and die. Let’s talk about Sir Braham. Why did you want to cooperate with me? To be honest it’s too sudden even for me.”
“I am having a vision.”
“A hallucination?”
“The Coming Age of Jupiter.”
“….”
“I was so afraid of that that I reached out to pleasure and surrendered to Chashan. While I was absorbed in pleasure I could forget death and destruction.”
Abraham said this and felt ashamed.
“And I was afraid. Chashan’s violence. It disqualifies me as a knight. In the end I am a cowardly coward.”
“Then welcome Sir Braham.”
Azadin accepted Sir Braham’s invitation to join him.
*********
Chashan’s smuggling network spread throughout the Chadra Plateau including Fireglyph.
They were armed and their hideout contacts were spread out in various places.
In addition since they had bribed the Fireguards they boasted an organizational power like a hydra head that could never be subdued no matter how long it took.
However the organization’s second-in-command Sir Braham joined forces with Azadin making it easier to capture the organization in Fireglyph at least.
*********
Fireguard Barracks Originally the headquarters of the Fireguard where Sir Timothy was stationed Azadin was stationed there and was acting in his stead.
“Do you believe in Sir Brahma? Azadin.”
Ismila approached Azadin who was taking a short break and asked him if he was in the mood for such a brahman.
“Hmm. Why do you have such a question?”
“I’m worried. Sir Braham is a Hospitaler Paladin. He is currently the highest ranking member of the Rescue Knights on the Chadra Plateau. If he’s approaching you with the intention of becoming the next Chapter Master….”
Izmila feared that Sir Braham had succumbed to Azadin while hiding his ambitions.
But Azadin shook his head.
“First of all Sir Braham has too many weaknesses. He has the sin of being in league with Chashan and he is too old. He is not someone who should be appointed Chapter Master. On top of that he is also a drug addict.”
“A drug addict? Then you should not trust such a person even more.”
“But he is also a man courageous enough to believe.”
“yes?”
“Usually people don’t say with their own mouths that they are cowards. There are many people who would rather die than be called cowards. So people who can say that they are cowards are courageous people who can confess their weaknesses.”
“Ah. Ahaha.”
Izmila burst into laughter when she heard Azadin’s words.
“why?”
“No. You are saying similar things to my teachers.”
“Well I am a knight by name so I should say knightly things sometimes Sir Izmilla. My faith is deeper than you think.”
Azadin said this in a tone that made it hard to tell whether he was joking or serious.
But then the door to Fireguard’s office burst open.
“Eww! What on earth have you done! Sir Azadin!”
Sir Pavel himself rushed in.
“There’s been a rebellion at the Southeast Rock Fortress! The Dwarven Sorcerers Chashan’s brothers have taken control of the fortress and have taken the Quartermaster prisoner! They’re threatening to kill the Quartermaster if Chashan isn’t released. I can’t believe this is happening when I’m the Acting Chapter Master!”
Sir Pavel was trembling. He had overthrown the Chapter Master and taken over as his successor which was not befitting of his subject. And in the midst of all this this rebellion had broken out. He was beside himself with the fact that things beyond his power were happening again and again.
“No Sir Pavel. Sir Pavel is currently the Acting Chapter Master. Instead of coming to me directly why didn’t you send a messenger to call me?”
“Send a messenger to the messenger clan? No that’s not the issue. This incident is ultimately caused by you provoking those Chadra Ogels. How are you going to take responsibility for this? My heart is pounding so hard right now that I can’t come to my senses.”
“So there was a rebellion at the Southeast Rock Fortress? That’s good. That’s it.”
“Great! What’s the situation right now?”
“Isn’t it a good thing that we have a good cause to root out the corruption that is rampant in this land? And Sir Pavel this is all due to Sir Pavel’s achievements.”
“My achievement? What do you mean?”
“Well the previous Chapter Master was a criminal who was disloyal to the Order so it’s only natural that there would be a lot of rotten pus in there. If you squeeze out that pus and remove the infected area the higher-ups will value Sir Pavel that much more.”
“Ha but I don’t know about goblins but I’ve never seen blood with a human before.”
“Ah. Sir Pavel you should guard Fireglyph. Leave the suppression of the rebellion to me and Sir Pavel you can carry out your duties as Acting Chapter Master here.”
Azadin stood up reassuring Sir Pavel.
“It won’t even take a week to subdue them.”
“Well then. I will trust you and leave it to you. Sir Azadin.”
Sir Pavel was relieved when Azadin said he would quell the rebellion at the Southeast Rock Fortress in just one week but Izmila was shocked to hear this.
“It takes two to three days to walk to the Southeast Rock Fortress. You’re going to conquer it in a week.”
In reality there is only a day or two to spare Azadin said with a grin.
“I’ve already prepared and am waiting for you. Hehe. So don’t worry Sir Ismilla.”
“Hmm. I feel like this is a scam.”
Izmila expressed her disbelief at Azadin’s smile.
