#262. Whereabouts of Angel’s Blood 7
Izmilla also agreed that in this situation bringing Giacomo to the Knights would mean killing him.
The question is can we trust Azadin?
Izmila stared at Azadin.
When their eyes met Azadin smirked.
In a way it was a laugh that seemed to mock the extravagance of the Knights but even that laugh was so charming that Izmila involuntarily turned her gaze away.
‘…Why do I have this kind of faith?’
I believe even though I have no reason to believe.
Meanwhile Giacomo’s tongue continued to multiply and began to wriggle.
Now the tongue has grown to the size of a small puppy.
“Camilla! Countach!”
“uh!”
“Did you call?”
“Get Giacomo out. Don’t let him see people outside.”
“You’re asking for something difficult.”
“I think Camilla could do it.”
“When I said it was difficult I meant it would be difficult if it weren’t for me. Make that clear and reward me later.”
“i get it.”
As Azadin said this Camilla left the alchemist Giacomo in the care of Countach and ran outside with a rope ready.
“Let’s go together sister!”
“Hey! This is a covert operation so be quiet!”
Camilla and Countach disappeared with the alchemist Giacomo.

“Okay then…..”
“This is nothing special right?”
Azadin turned Aurelia Dunn back into her longsword form and looked back at Giacomo’s flailing tongue.

A long tentacle sprouted from Giacomo’s tongue and attacked Azadin.
Azadin swung Aurelia Dunn and cut off the tentacle causing its toxic mucus to spray into Azadin’s eyes.
“joy.”
Azadin turned his head away and dodged then set Aurelia Dunn on fire and slashed his tentacles again.
This is no match for Azadin who has already faced all kinds of monsters.
‘Similar to the tentacles of the Jecht Lord but weaker.’
The severed tentacles were slightly smaller than their original size but they certainly left behind remnants.
“Okay. This is enough!”
Azadin split Giacomo’s tongue vertically.
Giacomo’s tongue which had grown as large as a calf burst into flames and he fell over.
“How bold Azadin. If I do not join you in this scheme… what will you do then?”
Izmila decided to trust Azadin but she still felt uneasy about the unauthorized use of the Order’s secrets.
“Then Giacomo’s poor daughter will suffer and die and Giacomo will die in vain. Those who tried to kidnap you Lady Ismilla using him will be so proud that they will bring me down.”
“….”
“You know that too right? Why did you send an investigation team leader without a security clearance? This was a trap to hand you over to the enemy from the beginning. Sir Pavel is not capable of leading the investigation team. The others are the same.”
“While it is against the etiquette of the Order to insult an elder… there is no denying that Sir Pavel’s abilities are not up to the task at hand. And while you may be violating minor rules I understand that the threat to the Order is one that only you Sir Azadin can overcome. Sir Azadin. I will work with you.”
Izmila promised to cooperate with Azadin.

The official communication channel of the Rescue Knights was information transmission magic using the ancient mirrors held by the bishops.
However since Fireglyph was a non-bishopric diocese without a bishop it reported to its superiors through the blood letter transmission method used by general blood magicians.
“Ugh… Hurry up and do this. This is going to bleed a lot.”
Bernard coughed and refused and as it was the rule that such magic should be performed by someone who was familiar with it the Fireglyph’s authorized blood wizard was preparing to be transferred. He was an old man shaking as he held his sword over the basin for collecting the blood.
“It’s true that the old man doesn’t have much blood in his body.”
“So please tell me the content as concisely as possible.”
“All right.”
Azadin looked at Sir Pavel whose mouth was sticking out as if he was disappointed that he had to rely on the magic of the heretics.
“Anyway this investigation is all yours Sir Azadin. You should report it as well.”
“Ahaha.”
Azadin laughed to hide his embarrassment.
Even if he lacks the qualifications he must report to the investigation team leader Sir Pavel. If Azadin reports they will think that the investigation team leader Sir Pavel is dead.
‘There must be some people who wished for him to die.’
However given Pavel’s temperament and his administrative abilities if you let him use the blood magic message the blood mage will die from excessive bleeding.
“The culprit who secured Giacomo is Lord Hexenmayer. Investigation Team Leader Pavel. Please send it this way.”
“Oh I see.”
The blood magician cut his own hand mixed his blood into the bowl and wrote a blood oath on a piece of paper placed on top of the magic circle.
The report will be sent with the same text written on the recipient.
“Hey so who rules Fireglyph during this time? Is it the captain?”

When Camilla asked Fireguards Jan and Tamil looked puzzled and said
“That’s right. Normally if the Chapter Master is absent the Fireguard would rule this place as a proxy.”
“But Sir Timothy the leader of the Fireguard was also caught as an accomplice.”
“Yes. So I think the head of the investigation team should appoint a proxy….”
The two knights of the Fireguard glanced at Sir Pavel.
This man now only a knight hospitalist at his advanced age must either be woefully untalented or have entered the Order very late.
Either way he is unqualified to rule Fireglyph. He is inferior in rank and experience to the knights of the Chadra Plateau who come here.
But the person in question seemed delighted at the thought of ruling this great city.
“Hahaha. Although I have little talent I will do my best to undertake this great undertaking.”
When Sir Pavel said that the Fireguards were taken aback and began to speak.
“That’s fine but.”
“Do you happen to know Chadra O’Gall?”
The Fireguards asked in a cryptic tone as if they were telling an old tale to scare children.
The Fireguards shuddered at the mention of the name Chadra O’Gal.
Just talking about it made him unable to bear the thought of their appearance. But Azadin was indifferent.
“No. When I was training as a messenger I learned about the major figures and heroes from all over the continent but this is the first time I’ve heard of it?”
‘Where do you find country bumpkins talking among themselves like this? Aren’t you ashamed?’
It seemed to be saying.
“I’m talking about the five prisoners who were imprisoned on the Chadra Plateau but who built their own power. They were the ones who the Knights Templar could not kill because their crimes were so bad but their talents were so great that they had no choice but to imprison them.”
“What kind of people are they?”
“Commander Knight Sir Sok. Wild Druid Cedrin Half-Vampire Niselda. Smuggler King Chashan Hippogryph Rider Sir Selim.”
“iced coffee.”
Azadin was amazed.
“It’s my first time hearing about all five of you.”
But when I heard their nicknames I didn’t think they were easy people.
If Azadin were to overthrow them and rule Fireglyph would they remain silent?
What if Azadin leaves the Fireglyph with Sir Pavel and returns to Vermillion?
‘Considering the capabilities of Sir Pavel and Izmila it seems that they are not enough.’
In the end it was realistically the best option for Azadin to rule Fireglyph.
‘Even if I leave it to Sir Pavel I’ll end up doing it myself.’

Smuggling King Chashan was the head of a dwarven crime syndicate and a self-made man who formed the ‘Dwarven Arrow’ a huge drug smuggling organization that ran throughout Banreung and Arangi.
The Banreung who captured him were worried that the organization would split again after his death and grow even more so they handed him over to the Salvation Knights. The Salvation Knights also had difficulty dealing with him so they imprisoned him in the Chadra Plateau in an attempt to weaken the organization.
After that ‘Dwarven Arrow’ established a new boss in place of Chashan and continued to run the organization but Chashan formed a new organization in the Chadra Plateau and created his own smuggling line even making products directly in Fireglyph and amassed enormous wealth.
As the most well-informed of the Chadra Ogels he was the first to hear the rumors that Lord Hexenmire Chapter Master of the Fireglyphs and Lord Timothy Captain of the Fireguard had fallen from power.
“Azadin the Emperor’s messenger. The Knights have brought another strange man to the Chadra Plateau.”
Chashan was a strange-looking dwarf with blue tattoos all over his body extending all the way to his face.
It was a magical tattoo that proved he was a dwarf sorcerer.
The magic tattoo which was created to better handle the innate magical power glowed and emitted magical power on its own according to Chashan’s emotions.
“What should we do boss?”
The smuggling king Chashan’s stronghold is the southeastern rock wall. The administrator of this place is Sir Braham a knight of the Salvation Knights.
An aged Hospitaller-Paladin he was second only to Sir Hexenmayer and Sir Timothy among the knights of the Chadra Plateau. His career as a paladin was even longer than theirs.
But this Sir Braham was laughing in a mean manner calling Chashan the prisoner he was supposed to manage boss.
“Braham. Aren’t you the most experienced paladin here? Even cold water has its ups and downs. A herald who just entered the order of knights shouldn’t be gulping down the fireglyphs. It would be hard for a newbie to monopolize such a delicious territory so let’s suggest a division or joint rule.”
“Oh I’m not the most experienced paladin. Lord Sok was of a higher rank than me.”
The Knight of Necromancers Sir Sok. He was so absorbed in the study of necromancy that he broke his precepts and was now a prisoner not a knight. However like Chashan he reigned as the de facto ruler.
“He’s a prisoner. What’s important isn’t his experience as a knight but his experience as a puppet.”
“That’s true. As expected boss. You have great insight. But if you were to suggest a divide and rule policy wouldn’t the others join in as well?”
“Of course we should go first and set up the table. We decide who gets the most delicious food and the others come from the table we set up. This Fireglyph is a bit picky if he tries to eat alone. I don’t think that messenger guy would want to eat alone either. Come on gather the kids. Let’s go do some business.”
“All right.”
Sir Braham immediately prepared to leave for Fireglyph.
