#254. The Knights’ Secret Weapon 8
“Ugh…. Huh?!”
Izmila’s body was already tied with rope and her mouth was gagged to prevent her from reciting any magic spells.
But Izmila who had grasped the situation concentrated her mind.
A sacred fire rose from her arms and body and began to burn the rope.
“this!”
“Stop it!”
The northern Aragasas approached in a hurry but the golden flames that arose from Izmilla’s body seemed ready to burn those who approached.
“Oh hot!”
“shit!”
The gag that had been covering Izmila’s mouth burned and fell off.
At that moment when things got urgent the wizard stepped forward.
“I won’t know even if I die!”
The lightning strike cast by the wizard hit Izmila right between her eyebrows.
-Pants squeak!
It was a horrible sight to behold.
Izmila’s eyes which had been emitting golden flames in anger lost their light and she fell to the side.
“Amazing. As expected of a Celestial. Even though I shot it with enough power to kill a bear it ended with me fainting. It must have burned somewhere in my body…”
There was a brief trace of lightning across Izmila’s face.
There was only a slight redness to her skin like a lightning bolt but the wound healed quickly while she was down and soon disappeared.
It certainly looked like the secret weapon of the Rescue Knights.
“Is this okay?”
“Here tie him up with this iron chain. This is a black steel chain. Even if he is an angel he won’t be able to move if tied up with this. There’s no need to gag him. Anyone who is tied up with this won’t be able to use magic or abilities.”
The wizard took out a chain made of black steel.
The Aragasas were startled when they saw the chains made of black steel.
Black steel was considered to be a metal derived from the scales of Azadin the dragon of Muan their greatest treasure.

It is a treasure but also a cursed monster. To have so much of it.
“How could something like this….”
“You can prepare everything. So… what are you going to do now? Are you going to go to your master the Northern Emperor with a tracker attached to you?”
“Is there another way?”
“Do it like this.”
As the wizard gestured two goblin soldiers hiding inside the watermill walked out.
The wizard reached out with his sharp clawed hands and grabbed the heads of the two goblins.
“Keeeeeek!”
The goblins let out a pitiful scream as the claws pierced their skulls with such ease.
As they struggled the ship split open and wings began to sprout from within.
A left wing sprouts from the left goblin and a right wing sprouts from the right goblin.
“hmm….”
The northern Aragasas trembled at the sight.
This wizard. He is no ordinary person.
I had been angry just now when this wizard compared the Herald Clan to the Northern Aragats but that anger had completely disappeared replaced by an eerie fear.
‘No it’s not that we’re cowards.’
‘I don’t know much about magic.’
The wizard killed the goblins by grabbing their heads with both hands and then lifting their corpses into one.
-Wood thud!
A moment later with a terrible sound a goblin corpse sprouting strange wings appeared in its place.
The wizard wrapped a blanket around it and it was about the same size as Izmila.
“Well two isn’t enough. The wings are quite large… One more?”
When the wizard said that the goblins flinched and fell to the ground trembling. They didn’t even dare to think of running away which shows how much this wizard meant to them. Even if they did they would be like rats in a barrel with that lightning spell.
“I’m joking. It’ll be fine if you wrap it in a blanket.”
The wizard inflated the mofo to make it look real and gave it to the northern Aragasa.
“Now you take this and go west to distract that pursuer. We will take this angel and deliver it to your master.”
“No. That can’t be.”
The commander of the Northern Aragasa army Zan opposed it.
“There’s no way you can’t pick up that angel and send it somewhere else. We’ve worked so hard to find out the secrets of the Rescue Knights. We can’t just hand it over to you Kurt Pantheon now.”
“You guys are the ones who came with the tail. You guys are responsible for this.”
The wizard was indignant at Zan’s remark. At first glance it seemed reasonable but Zan shook his head.
“Do you think we wouldn’t have followed you if you guys had done it? In the first place you guys are monsters and couldn’t even enter the city so we had to do it. If you take charge of the work and blame us for it no one will want to work with you because they’re afraid of the responsibility. So let’s split it evenly here.”
“what?”
“Half of us are with the angels and half are dragging out the enemy. Likewise half of you are with the angels and the other half are dragging out the enemy. How about that? It’s fair isn’t it?”
“So you don’t trust us?”
“Honestly can you believe it?”
“Haha. I see.”

The wizard laughed heartily hitting his own head with his sharp hooked hand.
“Okay. Let’s do that.”
The wizard accepted the opinion of the tenth lieutenant.
*********
Northern Aragatsas burst out from the watermill.
As soon as they came out of the mill they fired arrows into the sky as if they had noticed Arael’s voice but even if they were Aragasa’s arrows they could not overcome the limitations of the bow itself.
It was impossible to hit Arael’s voice which was flying so high in the sky that even the arrow’s power could not reach with an arrow.
They had changed their tune and were fleeing on fast horses along the northwest road.
‘Hmm. Something seems strange?’
Azadin controlled Arael’s voice and felt that their behavior was strange.
First of all Izmila’s body is strange. She was fine until just now but now she’s covered in a bloody blanket.
Could it be that he had injured or killed Izmila in the meantime?
‘Is there some magical treasure inside Izmilla’s body that you took it out? If not then the treasure is the purpose so why bother taking her body? Isn’t her angelic body the purpose itself?’
The enemies clearly kidnapped Izmila alive. If they were trying to take something out of her body or kill her they would have killed her from the beginning. It would have been easier to take her things if they had killed her quickly after stunning her with an arrow equipped with a lightning amulet.
‘Considering all the circumstances it’s most likely bait!’
Azadin wanted to lower Arael’s voice to investigate inside the hut. However the enemies were shooting arrows so what if he descended to a low altitude and was attacked?
Arael’s voice may disappear.
I can’t lose my sister’s legacy so easily.
But even while he was thinking that way the enemies continued to ride away on horseback.
“What should I do with that?!”
Camilla asked.
“Search and pursue that building! Searching the building is the priority!”
“Is that okay?”
“I’m watching them separately! Prioritize the building! Just don’t go in first!”
As soon as Azadin said that arrows flew out from inside the building.
Those waiting inside the mill fired arrows outside. Camilla and Countach were ahead of Azadin leaving them exposed to attack.
Azadin would normally catch the arrows or swat them away with the back of his hand but knowing full well what had hit Izmila he hurriedly threw coins at them causing them to collide with the flying arrows and fly to the side.
“Sister!”
Countach used his thick body to block the arrow flying at his sister. The arrow hit Countach’s body but Countach was wearing thick chainmail so the arrow did not completely penetrate his body.
The chain of the chainmail armor broke and the arrow pierced the flesh but failed and escaped. However… the amulet wrapped around the arrow broke free sending out electric sparks.
“Kwaaaaak!”
Electric sparks struck Countach’s armor and lightning flowed into his body.
Camilla was not directly hit by the lightning itself but was knocked off her horse.
Azadin was able to avoid further attacks from the electric sparks by detonating an arrow aimed at him from the front.
“These kids!”
Azadin trembled at the attack of the northern Aragatha who had defeated his men.
Then three more arrows flew towards Azadin.
These are also arrows with talismans wrapped around them.
The attack that had even defeated Izmilla who had revealed the power of Celestial was now aimed at Azadin.
‘That amulet must be quite expensive but no one spares anything. I guess the Northern Qi’s wealth is overflowing?’
Azadin threw coins again and intercepted the flying arrows.
If it were a normal arrow the coin would have bounced off but the arrow wrapped around the amulet exploded on its own emitting electric sparks.
-The flowers birds wind and moon at dusk!
Azadin’s shadow absorbed the electric spark instead. Azadin took advantage of the gap and quickly broke the window of the mill and jumped inside.
Enemy attacks come from the left and right.
The Northern Aragasa troops attacked Azadin by swinging their swords from both sides as he approached.
-Pop!
But Azadin as if he had predicted punched one and kicked the other.
It seemed like a light hit but the Northern Aragasa members were blown away and crashed into the shaft of the mill falling forward.
“Ugh!”
“Ahh!”
A single blow broke his ribs and dislocated his shoulder.
Even if they are Aragasa they cannot fight with injuries like these.
Most of his fighting ability was lost just because Azadin touched him lightly.
“Oh really.”
Zan covered his face as he watched his men being treated by Azadin.
But I don’t feel too bad about it.
The subordinates had been teasing Zan for the brief time they had acted together with Azadin and now they too had tasted the bitterness of Azadin.
“We meet again. Goodbye.”
“Let’s eat some of that too. Isn’t that too much?”
Azadin was speechless at Zan’s cheerful attitude.
“I’m sorry about that Jan. Fort Vermillion needs talented people so I can provide a way for them to eat and live.”
“Why would I serve under you a lowly figure in the Knights of Salvation instead of the Northern King who aspires to become the Emperor?”
Zan knew very well what it meant for Azadin a trainee knight to be imprisoned on the Chadra Plateau.
But Azadin remained calm.
“The Northern Emperor was already a king. On the other hand I am only a trainee knight. If you join me you can become my companion in the great undertaking. How about starting a relationship from being a partner to being a mere servant?”
“Huh? That’s a bit harsh. I said you know something.”
Jeanne was taken aback by Azadin’s words.
“Then do you want to make a deal?”
“No that’s also umm…..”
“I have a little idea.”
Azadin whispered secretly to Zan.
