Night of the Soulless Heathens – 221

“Put it away! Arael!”
You could tell from the reactions of the four members of Hwajopungwol or rather the three who were now left.
Rather than trying to absorb Azadin’s body into herself Arael was instead trying to give her body to Azadin.
Twins can give blood to each other. If Arael sacrifices herself Azadin will not only live but may recover from his paralysis and regain his strength.
But if you receive such great grace you must forgive Arael.
I don’t like that. Azadin wasn’t ready to forgive Arael yet. So you’re forcing forgiveness on him?
Given Indim and Seraph Dimia’s attitude this was never promised in the first place. I didn’t want to be responsible for forgiving her for the rest of my life because of something she had decided on her own.
“Arael! You should absorb me instead! You should lead the rebellion!”
“…Actually it was a lie.”
“what?”
“You are saying that you are rebelling for the sake of Aragasa’s prosperity! Aragasa should be destroyed! What kind of prosperity is that!”
“….”
When I thought about it it was obvious. There was no reason for Arael not to hate Aragasa.
“I still don’t understand! Why are you sacrificing yourself to me? Why would you….”
“Azadin. I’m sorry.”
“what?”
“My sister was acting all smart but the truth was I was scared. I was scared that if I didn’t act strong if I didn’t show off they would come and crush me for fun. And… I won’t make excuses. I was young and stupid too.”
“….”
“When I was young I was also an Aragasa so I hated and despised the weak. That was natural for Aragasas. But later when I came out into the world I realized. It was wrong for Aragasa to make children do this. But when I realized that my status had already risen and I was afraid because I had too many subordinates. I was afraid of showing weakness by apologizing to you in front of my subordinates and showing them that I tolerated the weak and I was afraid of them adoring me and then being disappointed so I distanced myself from you even more. I couldn’t even apologize to you properly and had to live as just a successful traitor Arael.”
Arael strong and arrogant. Arael was confessing that it was a disguise and a pretense to protect herself.
Seraph Dimia Indim outside the magic circle felt embarrassed by what was happening.
“Must stop…..”
“No! If we go in now we’ll all be fused together! If someone with different blood types fuses with us both Arael and us will die!”
“But if it continues like this…”
“Arael!”

Arael’s subordinates needed her even as they heard her confess that their presence had driven Arael out.
Arael looked at them and then back down at Azadin.
“don’t do it….”
Azadin was embarrassed by the tears falling down his face.
“Please don’t. What do you want me to do? I was able to calm my mind by hating you. But now that you’re apologizing… Do I have to accept it? If you died for me I would have to forgive you! Why are you forcing me to forgive you? I’m not ready to forgive! This is not right Arael! Stop this ritual right now! This isn’t for me it’s for your own satisfaction!”
“Azadin…..”
But Arael did not stop her consciousness. The magic circle shook and the powerful power of the Nether was sucked into Arael’s body.
I wanted to stop it but Azadin was in a state of ruin unable to move a single finger.
“When I was most lonely and struggling you hurt my face! You pushed my outstretched hand away and insulted me! And now you’re going to abandon me again? Don’t make me laugh! If you really want to apologize then throw away these tricks and live with our crippled arms and legs! Even if we lose our strength and become helpless let’s lean on each other and live! Otherwise we’ll just be power-hungry Aragasa until we die! Please… Sister! This isn’t right!”
“!!!!”
Azadin called Arael ‘sister’ for the first time. However… the consciousness had already progressed to an uncontrollable state.
Arael smiled.
“I will return what I took away from you a long time ago. Azadin.”
As if burning charcoal the embers flickered inside her burning her skin and burning her body to ash.
And the ash flows into Azadin’s body healing the severed arms and legs… and the old scars on his face.
To his surprise eyes were growing on Azadin’s face. Bloody tears flowed as dark purple eyes just like Arael’s formed.
“Arael!”
Azadin grabs Arael with both arms as she begins to move but her body falls apart.
“Ah… this… idiot!”
“Please… forgive me.”
“I can’t forgive you! I can’t forgive you! If you want me to forgive you then live long! If you live long enough to talk to me eat with me spend time with me… then I’ll become attached to you and forgive you! Do whatever you want and then forgive me!”
“Huh huhu…..”
Arael smiled until the end and disappeared into ashes.
Azadin fell to the ground hitting the ground as Arael’s body fell apart.
“Arael!”
Tears flowed from Azadin’s eyes falling onto the ash with a sob like the howling of a beast.
*********
Azadin sobbed and then fainted.
Both Azadin and Arael were in very poor physical condition when they fused. It was a magic that was already very shocking and since their original conditions were not good they will not be able to wake up for a while.
In the meantime the three members of Hwajopungwol moved Azadin to the ship’s bedroom and exchanged opinions.
“What do we do now?”
Dimia asked her colleagues.
“Arael is…..”
“They tricked us.”
Indim shuddered.
“I didn’t care about Aragasa’s prosperity or anything I just wanted revenge. On Aragasa…”
As he said that Indim absentmindedly scratched his lower abdomen.

“You used us!”
“Stop it Indim.”
Seraph shook his head.
“I fully understand Arael’s feelings. Azadin is his legacy. We must respect it.”
“But can Azadin use the Kazas spell again?”
Dimia wondered.
“What does that mean?”
“Arael said he would return what he took. Maybe the flowers birds wind and moon were inside his body…”
“Will I become as powerful as Arael?”
Seraph and Indim were surprised. Arael’s power was due to the fact that he was a twin and had the grimoire that was supposed to go to Azadin.
Of course he is smart and has excellent skills but… the same goes for Azadin.
If Azadin were given Arael’s Grimoire he might gain power as powerful as Arael or even more powerful than her.
“It won’t be that easy to get rid of. Rather you’ll definitely lose it if you do Kazas. And the new flesh growing on your arm… looks like a child’s new flesh.”
Dimia said so and turned over to look at Azadin’s body which was lying unconscious on the bed.
“Wow… You really look like Arael.”
“Because they’re twins.”
“I didn’t really think much about it before I developed eyes but I guess it’s a bit strange.”
Dimia said this and smacked her lips.
“Anyway let me clarify. After sacrificing your sister are you now judging men? You must be in bad shape right now.”
Seraph expressed his displeasure at Dimia’s remark.
Both Seraph and Dimia barely survived by sacrificing their brothers. They are both still suffering from the aftereffects of the fusion so they are not in a position to have sexual desires. They are just as sick as Azadin.
Moreover the death of a blood relative more precious than anyone else. Seraph frowned as he watched Dimia bring up such a frivolous story after experiencing it just a short while ago.
“No what I mean is if Azadin gets stronger maybe….”
“what do you mean?”
“Are you suggesting that we make Azadin Arael’s replacement right now? No. That’s impossible.”
Indim opposed it.
“why?”
When Dimia asked innocently Seraph answered.
“Azadin has a very bad reputation among his clan. And many of those who followed Arael were actually in love with her.”
“Your brothers too.”
“…Anyway Azadin is a man. He may be handsome but that alone is not enough to unite a clan.”
There were some who harbored the delusion that if Arael became the leader they would be able to marry her and become the leader’s husband Gukseo and enjoy power.
Arael cleverly used the delusions and desires of such people to grow his power.
Azadine on the other hand is not a very good material for such things.
“His reputation was really bad. He was known as the Azadin of Muan so it wouldn’t work.”
“Now that you have eyes… your face looks very similar to Arael. How about dressing up as Arael?”
Dimia kept making reckless suggestions as if she still had some lingering attachment.
“No way.”
Indim was against it from the start. Seraph listened to his reasons for his opposition in detail.
“Arael-nim usually stands in the forefront but now that he’s suddenly wearing a mask and acting quietly in the background he’ll be caught right away. Even though they’re twins their faces are similar their voices are completely different. And Azadin’s Kazas-style movements are still too strong so it’ll be hard to correct him. The Aragasas will recognize him at a glance.”
“ha.”
Dimia shook her head.
“If neither this nor that works are we finished? Then should we surrender to Zion Etar?”
“If you surrender Azadin as a gift?”
When Indim asked that Seraph frowned.
“I want to protect Lady Arael’s will. Don’t even say things like that as a joke.”
“You are loyal. Seraph Dimia you fused but I didn’t? If I kidnap that guy now you won’t be able to stop me with your abilities.”
Due to the aftereffects of the fusion both Dimia and Seraph are in a state similar to patients. Of course Aragasa is one of the strongest so even though they are dying they are not much of a threat to normal enemies or beasts but that is why they are well aware of the fear of Indim.
If Indim decides now there is no stopping him. Even before he was injured Indim was the strongest among the four. Among the Hwajopungwol the one who holds the title of Moon is bound to be the best master.
But neither Dimia nor Seraph took Indim’s threat seriously.
“You loved Arael the most. Mentally too… and um.”
“What are you talking about? I…..”
Indim denied it his face turning red.
“I understand that you are shocked that Arael betrayed us but… huh?”
Seraph was startled by the sudden feeling of evil. After a while the screams of the sailors could be heard outside.
“Eww! Se. It’s a siren!”
“Cursed is the Netherstrom!”
“Netherstrom…..”
Dimia and Seraph Indim heard the screams of the sailors and went outside to see that the western sky was covered with dark clouds and a gust of wind was blowing. Monsters were jumping out of the sea and attacking the ship.
“Could this be… the Age of Jupiter?”
Seraph frowned.
