Night of the Soulless Heathens – 178

#178. Cheonggeon’s Heaven 6
“Is this a fragment of Grimslow?”
Azadin was startled by the texture of the warm flesh-like block of wood.
“Yes. Grimslow has chosen you. You are the new God of the Qing Dynasty.”
“No I didn’t receive any revelations like that.”
Azadin tried to concentrate avoiding the unnecessarily moved Jiswa.
The body of the wooden block Grimslown in Azadin’s hand mutated and began to get wrapped around Azadin’s moon palace.
‘I did it because I thought it would work and it really did?’
Azadin was shocked as he watched Grimslow’s body swallow the Moon Palace.
When I pulled the newly made moonbow I felt a stronger tension than the iron bow of the heavy crossbow. It was a powerful force that could not have been possible for a wooden bow of this size.
Moreover the bending was very good so most of the pulling force could be transferred to the arrow.
“This is no longer necessary.”
Azadin put down his heavy iron bow because he was confident that Grimslown’s moonbow would not break.
Moreover Grimthrown’s power was not limited to that. Azadin’s Qingdaoist staff was glistening with Grimthrown’s sap.
“It seems like he chose the captain. Or what should I say? He sent his men to attack while we were approaching but he was caught so maybe he surrendered before the captain could burn him? It seems more plausible for him to choose himself rather than to be dominated by force after causing trouble.”
“It seems like he’s a god from the Nether but even if it’s a fragment it wouldn’t be that easy. It seems like he likes me.”
Azadin took his bow and club blessed by Grimslow and looked around. The hostility that had filled the jungle was no longer felt.
“I originally planned to take it by force but oh my. I never thought such a miracle would happen.”
Jiswa still seemed to be choking up from the emotion.
“Why are you carrying all these miracles around? Do the gods like you?”
Azadin was indifferent even though Shati was a little envious.
“Rather than saying that the gods like me isn’t it because believers don’t follow the basic good doctrines and only cause trouble for others over trivial things?”
“You also bully others.”
Shati thought about what Azadin did to others.
“Anyway should we talk to the Lord of the Cheonggeon Party now? You said the Lord is in Btuma right?”
“yes.”

“Then let’s go to Btuma.”
Azadin returned to the forest of the Black Jungle Sanctuary of Kimalhaji.
*********
Having safely obtained the fragments of Grimslow Azadin and his party decided to return to the Kimalhaji County to head to Bthuma.
Btuma had to travel only along the road or through the river or the sea. Anywhere else grass and trees grew in an instant making it impassable.
Could that be why Azadin’s party could see elephants and armed men standing on the roadside?
“No matter how you look at it it doesn’t seem like a good intention?”
Comosal and his men were standing there. There were about 20 of them on the roadside and the rest were lying in wait in the jungle. Scott who was a great shaman roughly counted them.
“There are about 50 of them. What should we do Captain?”
The thing currently pulling the cart was not Corpse Abomination but a large leopard discovered in the jungle.
There are too many people to charge this leopard.
Of course Azadin would not be defeated by them but Azadin came to Bthuma to persuade them to fight the Nagas not to stir them up first and cause death and injury.
I don’t want to cause any damage by causing internal strife when even joining forces won’t be enough.
“Shall we start by talking? Hey Comosal! Nice to meet you brother!”
Komosal frowned as Azadin shouted.
“Since when have I been your brother?!”
“If you follow the way of the blue sky and wear the blue hat aren’t you all brothers?”
“that….”
Doctrinally it is true but even the author the leader of the sect discriminated against those from Btuma and those who were not.
But it seemed too embarrassing to say that the leader had said that so Comosal was speechless. So he tried another excuse.
“Hey heretic. How dare you trample on our sanctuary?”
“I first got permission from the Count and Madame Gimela to go that route so what’s the problem? And you’re a heretic? I’m a Taoist from Cheonggeondang?”
“Don’t make me laugh. A guy like you is a Taoist. Aren’t you a member of the Herald Clan? A guy from the Herald Clan is a Taoist. The Count may admit it but I can’t!”
“You think so? Doesn’t this seem like it?”
Azadin held up a club imbued with Grimslow’s power.
“What is it? Are you going to try it?”
“If your eyes weren’t slits would you be able to tell what this is?”
“that?”
“It’s a fragment of Grimthrown. It’s proof that the old tree of the swamp chose him! He wasn’t subdued by force! He was struck by lightning like God but he’s alive!”
When Jiswa came out and shouted everyone was surprised. Of course the one who was most surprised was Komosal.
“Don’t make me laugh. Tell me such a lie! Isn’t this guy a messenger?”
“To the god of the Nether human race or tribe would be a very minor difference. Wouldn’t he be more interested in someone who speaks the Nether language well?”
“You little punk you are talking nonsense! You dare to call yourself a false prophet!”
“…You should say that he is claiming to be a prophet or that he is a false prophet. If you say that doesn’t that mean that you are claiming to be a false prophet?”
“Everyone shut up!”
Comosal gestured to his subordinates in anger.
“Yaaaah!”

Comosal’s men rushed out but Azadin quickly threw down the club he was holding.
The club fluttering in the wind flew towards the head of the one running in front. When he raised his shield in surprise the club spun exquisitely passed over the shield and struck the head of the one behind him.
He didn’t die because he was wearing a helmet but the shield bearer fell to the dirt with a single blow.
“no?!”
And that’s not all. The club flies like a living being and is sucked back into Azadin’s hand.
“and….”
Azadin threw his club again in admiration.
It was clearly aimed at shattering someone’s head but the club spun around enough that its power faded in midair… and it struck the person with just enough force to stun them before returning to Azadin.
“That’s a unique ability. Normally the upper body would be almost completely torn off with this move.”
“What the hell?!”
Someone who thought Azadin’s words were a joke rushed at Azadin and stabbed him with a spear.
“That must be true.”
Shati caught the spear that was being stabbed by Azadin. I ignored the woman who was blocking the spear and tried to stab her but Shati was a gigantic creature that weighed more than twice as much as a human even when she transformed into a human. Naturally her strength was proportionately proportional to that making her very strong.
“uh?”
Shati threatened the attacker by swinging his sword and took his spear away.
“Everyone! Don’t be afraid! The opponent is just….”
“The Herald Clan. You guys don’t know what the Herald Clan is do you?”
When Azadin spoke like that and swung his club wasn’t this club really meant to knock people down by striking them just enough to stun them without killing them?
Moreover once it is thrown it will definitely end up in Azadin’s hands so it is not an ordinary magic weapon.
Even the club and Azadin’s bow gave off an ominous vibe. It was something that even the relatively high-ranking Qing Dynasty members could not ignore.
“Oh my god. Is that really… Is that really the old tree of the swamp?”
“You are a real Taoist priest no you are a god!”
The Qing Dynasty Party members gave up resistance put down their weapons and knelt before Azadin.
“What a miracle!”
“We were wrong!”
“uh?!”
Comosal was shocked to see the Cheonggeun Party members he had brought surrender before Azadin.
Once a few Cheonggeun Party members knelt down other Cheonggeun Party members knelt down as well. Even though Comosal brought in about 50 people it was no use.
“This author has deceived us.”
“What should we do?”
The Cheonggeun Party members holding spears turned their spear heads towards Comosal.
“Bring him here and make him kneel here. Don’t kill him.”
When Azadin said that everyone rushed in and struck Komosal with their spears stomped on him and then really knelt before Azadin.
“Ugh…..”
“Comosal. You dared to give the brothers of the Cheonggeun Party some strange medicine and cause them to go berserk?”
“Didn’t I say that it wasn’t my own decision but that it was God’s command?!”
“Didn’t you see the club flying just now? Did Grimthrown spare your heads because he was merciful? Do you think such a merciful God would allow such a heinous act?”
Of course the existence of the Nether cannot be evaluated based on this alone.
Grimstone’s club might subdue a person without killing them but shooting a person with Grimstone’s bow would probably kill them. Could the club be a non-lethal weapon simply because there was a need for a non-lethal weapon?
However Azadin deliberately preached the mercy of Grimslow in a dignified tone and then rebuked Comosal’s actions.
The Cheonggeun Party members who had also enjoyed power by exploiting the weak all agreed that Azadin was right when he sternly rebuked Komosal and even shed tears of emotion.
‘I guess there are a lot of people who survived fatal diseases so the loyalty to this religion is great. If we can establish ourselves here it will be good for fighting against the Nagas who invade Btuma. But if we just tell them to follow us to Btuma it will be dangerous right?’
If you head to the palace with a large number of people the king will not approve of it.
So Azadin wrote a letter.
“There will be great trouble in the next two weeks. When the Naga army attacks Btuma gather this amount of supplies and this number of troops write this sentence on a flag beat a drum and come through the east gate of Btuma Castle.”
Azadin wrote a letter to the members of the Qing Dynasty as if it were a prophecy and raised Komosal.
“If you disobey you Komosal will surely be killed and your soul will wander the Wendigo Plains for eternity.”
“…uh.”
Comosal was startled when he suddenly felt a chill hit him.
In fact while Azadin was talking to Komosal about the snowy fields he secretly flicked the Wendigo’s dagger with his finger and sent its magical power towards Komosal.
The cold chill and the Wendigo’s presence threatening Komosal combined with Azadin’s words made it seem like a real freezing hell.
“Okay then.”
Azadin left a letter to the Qing dynasty members in Kimalhaji in case of an emergency and set off on his journey to Btuma.
‘Seeing Komosal rushing in it won’t be easy to convince even the author called Cheonju. But if Cheonju was struck by lightning like me… there must be many techniques that can work.’
Azadin was determined to persuade the Qing dynasty’s leader and if necessary even usurp the position of leader himself.
