Night of the Soulless Heathens – 152
by Jessie@AFNCC
#152. Quartz Throne 6
Soft light filled the underground passage.
Dimia who survived the ambush carried out by Azadin cast the spell.
It was not the magic of flowers birds wind and moon but surprisingly it was white magic a healing spell that even the knights and priests of the king’s church could no longer use and that only kings could use.
Thanks to the large amount of white magic sucked from the throne she was able to surprisingly restore her broken limbs using the restoration magic used by kings.
Not only her but also Chrysley’s wounds were healed.
“Oh!”
“This is the power of the king!”
Dimia was amazed at her own restored arm which was actually her first time using it. She had lost a lot of blood and was feeling weak but it was still an amazing miracle.
“Azadin!”
After healing his wounds Krasley stood up in anger calling Azadin’s name.
“Yeah. Why?”
Azadin picked up the black steel bullet that had fallen to the ground and looked at Krasley. He was preparing to retrieve the black steel bullet he had fired and fire it again.
Each time the Black Steel Arrow is fired it consumes the curses and magic accumulated within it making it weaker. However it is still a much more powerful weapon than a normal arrow and the Black Steel Arrow fired by the Herald Clan has a power that makes even the Yaegasu Gods tremble.
So there was a gentleman’s agreement that black steel should not be used in fights between the same race. Azadin was ignoring that gentleman’s agreement.
“Hey… Hey! You incompetent bastard!”
Chrysley reached for his bow in confusion. He too had a blacksmith’s knife.
The black steel battle between Krasley and Azadin crossed each other in the air. An absurd scene unfolded where they hit each other with an arrow.
The one who won this ridiculous fight was Azadin. The black steel projectile fired by Azadin easily deflected Krasley’s black steel projectile and flew towards Krasley with the momentum to pierce him.
-purification!
Demia used a spell to neutralize the Black Steel Flame in a hurry.
The black steel projectile fired by Azadin exploded again in the air as its magic power ran out.
But Azadin picked up the black steel arrow again and put it on his bow. He put the black steel arrow that had been fired by Krasley just a moment ago on his bow.
The Nagas rushed at Azadin but when Azadin fired his black steel arrows at them two or three of them fell pierced by a single arrow.
“There are a lot of corpses. There are a lot of corpses.”
Scott used his necromancy diligently to turn the corpses of the Nagas into undead.

There are now more undead Nagas under Scott’s control than living Nagas.
There were about 30 Nagas and messengers but the situation was reversed in an instant.
There the role of the necromancer Scott was also important. Thanks to the undead created by Scott who protected Azadin from being surrounded Azadin was able to fully demonstrate his skills.
But there was no composure on Azadin’s face.
‘The power of the Nether is seething. The Reaper has descended. Is this… just like the Wendigo last time only half-descended?’
The Nether Reaper does not yet exert direct power.
But that alone would drive people crazy right now.
The Age of Jupiter is upon us and the age of the Yaegas is coming to an end. How many people will remain sane when the prophecy of destruction is felt so closely?
‘We need to clear this place up quickly… The ground is dangerous.’
Then a white flash spreads out.
-Commander out!
As black smoke escapes from the bodies of the Naga undead Scott has painstakingly created their skin bursts into flames.
Surprisingly Dimia was using sacred magic as if she were a high-ranking priest. The white magic that she had sucked from the throne using the Book of the New King was running wild inside her.
It is clearly visible to Azadin’s eyes. In fact the current Dimia is the embodiment of power the essence of magic power. It seems to be an incredible power of light that can compete with the Nether’s reapers.
But the way it’s used is lowly. With that enormous magical power you can just use it like normal magic?
‘Restoration and other sacred magic are probably just imitations without a proper grimoire.’
That alone is amazing.
The book of grimoire is something that can be inherited through bloodlines like the flowers birds and the wind or it can only be obtained after years of training. How is it possible that it was given to Dimia artificially?
‘Well maybe you should ask the person concerned directly?’
Azadin approached Dimia.
“this!”
Dimia tried to deal with Azadin but she was now unable to properly use the Book of Flowers Birds Wind and Moon. There was too much heterogeneous magic power within her.
So Krasley stopped Azadin but…
-Two-tap!
A single attack from Azadin crumpled Krasley’s body. Even though it was not a direct hit but just a graze Krasley’s body floated up and his knees were unable to absorb the shock and twisted to the side.
‘I’m sorry but right now I’m scared of myself.’
In fact Azadin was pretending to be calm but he had to exert all his strength to control the power of the Hwajopungwol Kazas.
The white magic power injected into the copy of the New King’s Book was used as a catalyst to further strengthen and cause the magic power of the Kazas Sea to run wild.
My strength has grown so much that I feel like I could easily destroy myself through my own strength.
It wasn’t that I didn’t have enough strength but my bones were all sore. The ligaments and muscles were tightening and compressing my bones so if I let my guard down even for a moment I would end up with fractures by my own strength. My entire body felt like the ropes of a sailing ship caught in a storm were creaking and tightening around the ship.
But if he showed any weakness now it would be the end so Azadin dealt with Krasli lightly and approached Dimia while maintaining his most calm expression.
“Die. Dimia.”
Azadin pulled out the Wendigo dagger and aimed for Dimia’s neck.
Then something unexpected happened.
“Okay! Wait a minute!”
Dimia raised both hands.
“Azadin. Alright! You win here!”

“…What are you trying to say?”
“Peace negotiations.”
“Peace talks? Not surrender?”
“Actually our mission was already over to extract the white magic from the throne so that the Nether Reaper could descend. Now that the Nether Reaper has been summoned our role has been completed. It wouldn’t be so bad to fight and die after completing our role but it would be foolish to fight and die with you the younger brother of Lady Arael.”
“Right now it’s up to me to decide whether you live or die?”
“therefore.”
Dimia smiled.
“There’s no need to kill an attractive woman like me.”
“Are you planning on using a beauty trap? Don’t do anything stupid.”
“Oh don’t misunderstand. That’s not what I meant. If you kill me you’ll be hated by your own kind. I shouldn’t say it myself but there are quite a few people who follow me and my sister. There must be at least three digits of people in the clan who have a crush on our sister.”
“Are you saying that with your own mouth?”
Azadin burst into laughter as he watched Dimia bargaining with his life.
It was a good omen for Dimia.
“When will Arael seize the throne?”
Azadin asked the Arael tribe what their next plan was.
“Oh saying that is a bit different.”
“If you won’t tell me I’ll kill you now. Dimia. You’ve taken in white magic that you can’t even use properly so the Flower Bird and Moon won’t work. If I keep you alive now I might be in danger next time so it’s better for me to kill you here.”
“What did you hear from me Azadin?”
“I’m used to being hated by my clan. Dimia.”
As he said this Azadin kicked Dimia’s bow and snatched it away then he loaded an arrow into his bow and shot it backwards.
-puck!
Arrows pierce the heads of the Nagas who were still alive. This causes all the Nagas to fall.
Shooting an arrow backwards while facing Dimia is not something that can be done with ordinary confidence. Dimia swallowed dry saliva.
‘How did you get so strong? Is this the same Azadin?’
Dimia had seen Azadin as an instructor’s assistant during her training.
The Azadin she knew was just a little kid who was teased and bullied by others but the instructors and teaching assistants deliberately left it at that.
Because by bullying one weaker person the stress of others is relieved and they can endure the harsh training.
In other words Azadin was a scapegoat agreed upon by all the clans.
But… when did that scapegoat end up like this?
“I don’t want to give you enough information to interfere with Arael’s work. I can’t fight you either so kill me if you want. But Azadin if you don’t kill me and let me live it will help you in your future actions. There’s no need to kill me and incur the hatred of my clan right?”
“I don’t want to betray Arael but I still want to live. Is that okay to hear?”
“That’s it.”
“Hmm. How shameless. If you were superior to me you would have killed me.”
“Understand. It’s my position. Anyway Azadin. Won’t you spare me?”
“How many copies of the New King’s Book are here?”
“Chapter 64.”
“….”
At that moment Azadin almost jumped because he was so happy. 64 chapters? That’s a huge amount.
Although it may not be all that the Arael tribe possesses recovering this many copies of the Book of the New King will be an incredible achievement that no one among the Jeonryung clan can dare to compare to.
But Azadin maintained his cool demeanor and coughed in vain.
“Huh. Well I’ll take it. No objections right?”
“Okay. Is the deal done?”
“No. I have to take you too Dimia.”
“huh?”
“By tying up your arms and legs with rope.”
“Oh really. Do you really have to do something like that? It’s not necessary. Okay?”
“No I need it.”
Azadin was paying attention to the white magic charged in Dimia’s body. He couldn’t just leave Dimia alone.
“Hmm.”
Dimia looked at Azadin with a puzzled look on her face.
Azadin’s attitude was so strong that it seemed impossible to change his mind no matter what was done. In fact in the current situation there was nothing that Dimia could offer Azadin.
Since there is nothing to negotiate the deal is not concluded.
“Shati!”
“huh?”
“Pick up the copies of the New King’s Book. The ones around you.”
“Oh okay.”
While Azadin was guarding Dimia Shati retrieved the copies of the Book of the New King that had fallen on the floor.
“Oh no!”
Krasli who was lying on the ground with a fractured bone tried to stop Shati but it was no use.
“What should I do with this guy? Should I cut off his breath?”
“Don’t harm them. They are one of my few compatriots. Now that the game is decided I don’t want to harm them.”
When Azadin said that Krasli and Dimia felt ashamed.
Life and death are the rights of the strong.
It is shameful and embarrassing that Azadin who made the entire herald clan a sacrificial lamb is showing mercy and tolerance to them.
“Dimia.”
“uh?”
“Treat them just enough so that they don’t become disabled. Do you understand? Just enough so that they don’t become disabled. If you treat them any more than that you’ll both die.”
“….”
As one of the four members of the Flower Bird and Moon it was truly a difficult request to handle.
The guy who was looked down on as the lowest-ranking messenger of the messenger clan has become so fearsome that he even orders her around.
He threatens to kill you if you don’t listen to him. Could there be such an arrogant order?
