#137. Storm of Coral Sahar 5

“Azadin! This ship cannot stop! The wind is strong and it is dangerous to anchor!”

Zion who was holding the key warned.

“Keep going Zion! We’ll handle it! Damn my hands are tied from handling the sails.”

Azadin said this to Zion and completely folded the sails. Then the nagas came up on board.

    “What are these?”

“You. You’re an orc! And that woman?”

The men immediately recognized Scott who was using illusions and Shati who had transformed.

    “Actually we are your colleagues.”

Azadin was joking but there was an unexpected reaction. The bewildered Nagas turned to look at who seemed to be their leader.

“Nonsense! Even if they are the messenger clan the order is to kill all newcomers!”

    “what?”

Azadin was startled when he heard that. So you made some kind of deal with these messengers?

“I’ll have to listen to that in more detail!”

Azadin started to tie the sail rope to the ship’s railing pin and free both hands. However it was not easy to fight on the bow of the ship because it was not that big.

The road was blocked but Nagada rushed to Jibek first.

    “Hey!”

    “Ugh!”

Jibek drew his longsword and blocked the curved sword swing by Naga while simultaneously stabbing Naga in the neck and hitting him. He successfully countered the opponent’s attack while blocking it.

Moreover he was not satisfied with a single stab to the neck but effectively pivoted on the rocking bow turned the angle and struck Naga with a powerful John-Howe diagonal cut.

Naga who had rushed in at the front fell into the river spraying blood and creating a water column.

    “uh?”

The spirit of the Nagas who had been charging forward boldly was broken.

‘They say Jibek is a really good fighter. His swordsmanship is quite good. Scalaves is a common surname among northern nobles but isn’t there a story behind it?’

It was when Azadin was thinking like that.

    -Phew!

A column of water suddenly rose from under the boat.

While Azadin and his party were concerned about the Nagas who had climbed onto the ship other Nagas fired their air cannons’ magic bullets and hit the ship.

The boat rocks violently and Jebek is swept away by the rainwater and falls overboard.

    “Eww?!”

    “Damn!”

Shati who was holding a rope in his hand and acting as a prisoner caught Jibek as he was about to fly into the river.

    “Ugh! Thank you!”

    “What? That girl?”

Nagas frowned as he watched Shati whom he had thought was a prisoner fly away to save Jibek.

“It looks like they are a dry land tribe.”

“As expected they are a shallow dry land tribe.”

“If you catch me I’ll make you my slave!”

They saw Shati and thought of making her their slave.

“Since it has come to this let’s take care of it all!”

    Azadin snorted as Shati screamed.

“You don’t have to say that!”

    Azadin fired an arrow.

    “This kind of trouble….”

    -puck!

The arrow was sucked into Naga’s open mouth.

    “uh?”

“You’re all screwed! You water snake bastards!”

Shati said as if she had given up and at that moment Azadin fired another arrow.

    -Pfft!

    “What what!”

I had to watch the arrows that I had aimed at with my sword to block the vital point fly back creating a spray of water and tearing through the raindrops.

    “Huh!”

“I guess I have to pay for the meal too.”

Scott caught a fish in his fishing basket stabbed it to death with a dagger then placed a spell on it and released it into the water.

The corpse fish Scott created charges towards Naga who continues to rock the boat by casting air cannons.

    “Ghoulhwa!”

As Scott cast the spell ghoul horns and sharp thorny teeth sprouted from the fish’s body.

    “Go berserk!”

“Eww! What the heck! This is!”

The fish rushed at Naga and bit Naga without thinking. Of course Naga was a small fish so he caught the fish in shock and tore it from his body…

    “Time bomb!”

As Scott closed the loop the fish carcass exploded bloodying Naga’s eyes and face.

    “Oh. That fish looked delicious.”

Scott consumed the fish with his command magic and felt sorry for it.

    “What the heck? These kids?!”

    -puck!

    Another arrow pierced Naga’s head.

The arrows shot by Azadin were different from those of other messengers and flew with such terrifying power and speed that even the Nagas who were known to be able to fight back were unable to do anything about it.

Unfortunately the weather is dark and windy making it difficult to see the arrows.

When the wind blows the accuracy of the arrows should decrease but that doesn’t happen. Every time you shoot it hits the target causing a huge fatal wound every time.

    “Oh no… Let’s run away!”

    The Nagas began to retreat.

    *********

    “Okay then.”

Azadin took one of the Nagas captive. It was the Naga commander that the other Nagas had been looking at.

    “Ugh. These warm-blooded bastards!”

The commander was tied to the mast and was swearing.

“You warm-blooded bastards but you! A woman of the Dry Land Clan! How dare you betray the great Cobra Queen?”

“No I don’t know English very well yet.”

Shati said so and clicked her tongue.

“You water snake clan aren’t that close to us are you? I don’t even know what you’re doing so how is that considered a betrayal to the Cobra Queen?”

“Shut up. When you lay eggs put them in the cloaca.”

“How could you curse so harshly!”

    “What does that mean?”

Azadin who had been listening was taken aback. It seemed to be a very harsh curse among the Nagas.

“Hey go ahead buddy. You mentioned the messenger clan earlier right? What deal did you make with them?”

“Do you think I would tell you that?”

“If you tell me I will let you go alive.”

    “What?!”

    “Huh?!”

Naga and Shati who had been captured were surprised at the same time.

“No you’re letting me go?! That won’t do! What do you want me to do? Do you want me to continue to be your medicine bath?”

“If someone hears ‘medicinal soup’ they’ll think you boil it and drink it.”

“You should boil me and eat me you bastards.”

“You want me to boil it and eat it? Well I’m considering that if I get hungry.”

    “…Are you kidding?”

Shati surprised by Azadin’s reaction suddenly came to her senses and appealed to the nagas tied to the mast.

“Please spare me. I’m not cooperating with them because I want to. They’re manipulating me into cooperating with them. So even if I get released don’t call me a traitor….”

“Do you think I’m an idiot? Put an egg in your urethra. Put two eggs in it.”

“No kid really. Why did you add another egg?”

Azadin laughed when he saw that sight.

“It seems like you don’t have much to say.”

“You can just ask about it using necromancy after killing him.”

“That is not right. Forcibly extracting information from the dead through necromancy is a very evil act and it also disrupts the law of cause and effect. It goes beyond the limits of what can be tolerated.”

When Scott suggested using necromancy Zibek refused. Even Azadin who was not particularly resistant to necromancy opposed it.

“Isn’t that too dangerous a magic? If you ask by the method of soul divination it would be like creating an evil spirit on the earth and if you manipulate the brain of the dead to read information it would leave you with madness Scott?”

“Surprisingly you know a lot about necromancy.”

Scott was amazed that Azadin understood both ways of getting information from the dead.

    “Well what is it? Hmm?”

    “It’s the Sahar Gate!”

Zion who was holding the ship’s key shouted. There was a large bridge near Coral Sahar and that was the Sahar Gate.

Originally soldiers and gatekeepers were stationed on top of the bridge to collect customs duties from merchants passing over the bridge and to control the entry and exit of ships passing under the bridge using nets.

But now there’s a pile of garbage under the bridge and huge pieces of wood swirl on the surface of the water.

“If you approach it it will fall apart. The current is rough and there is a lot of floating debris. Plus there are things that scratch the bottom of the boat.”

The water conditions are terrible as buildings collapse and people are swept away. In fact it is a brave thing to have come this far by boat in this weather. It was possible because Zion who was at the helm was a very capable navigator.

“There should be someone but there isn’t.”

There had to be staff and soldiers on top of the Coral Sahar Gate.

“Could it be that they were taking refuge because of the storm? If you’re on a bridge like that you could easily slip and fall into the water.”

Although Ismail said so Azadin shook his head.

“No matter what I don’t understand why there’s no one here. There aren’t even any troops near the bridge.”

    “I see.”

It was strange. It was a big city and the capital of a kingdom and yet there was no one at the gate.

“From here on let’s take the land route. Take the boat to the land…”

“Let’s find a place to put it.”

Zion steered the ship and looked around. Even the docking facilities were all flooded so there was no place to dock the ship.

Still Zion found a hillside and steered his ship toward it and cast the anchor into the water.

“Swim to land! Don’t get any closer!”

When Zion said that everyone was embarrassed.

    “What about these guys?”

    When Medium asked Zion sighed.

“If you don’t talk I’ll kill you here.”

    “for a moment.”

Then Naga who had been silent until then opened his mouth.

“Are you really going to let me go if I tell you?”

    “okay.”

    “Yes.”

    “exactly.”

Azadin and Sion Zibek answered at the same time. It was just a promise but they could not help but believe that those who were leaving would really spare them.

“So our Water Snake Clan was competing with the Sea Serpent Clan. Sometimes we fought sometimes we cooperated… Then one day a woman from the Messenger Clan came to visit us through the Sea Serpent Clan’s introduction.”

    “What’s her name?”

    “She called herself Zenith.”

    “So. What did she suggest?”

“He said that he would temporarily extinguish the light of the throne here in Coral Sahar and that we should take the throne.”

    “what?”

Jibek was surprised to hear that.

The throne of the Yaegasu Gods is not a mere chair. It is a source of great magical power and a turning point of destiny that encompasses all people.

When a rightful king sits on it the light of the royal flower protects the world and the king sitting on the throne is given the magic book of the New King’s Book transforming the king into a wizard more powerful than any other… This was the very ideology of the Church of the King.

But the Kurt clan followers want to get their hands on it?

    “Is that possible?”

Azadin was curious too so he asked.

“I don’t know. Our Sea Serpent Tribe doesn’t know much. But the Sea Serpent Clan agreed… and they killed our chief and took his family. The Sea Serpent Clan became strange. They suddenly became strong ferocious and disgusting.”

“It’s gross. Hmm. In my opinion I think the original Naga looks a bit gross.”

When Scott said that everyone looked at Scott.

“Don’t be too captivated by the beauty of the orcs. If you get used to my attractive appearance your sexual desire for your kind will decrease.”

Scott struck a pose that showed off his muscles then clicked his tongue.

“You just tensed up your muscles for a bit. Be careful. You’re going to gain muscle.”
