Night of the Soulless Heathens – 136

#136. Coral Sahar’s Storm 4
The servants fell to the floor with a loud thud.
“Whoa?!”
“Surprise attack…..”
“Cowardly!”
The fallen servants said so but they were all either panting with excruciating pain in their lungs or paralyzed all over their bodies. Azadin had simultaneously unleashed a long blow and an elbow kick knocking down three servants at once.
The servants gasping for breath after being hit in the vital spot collapsed and swore at him but as they became angry and continued to speak they experienced even more severe breathing difficulties.
“I clearly conveyed my intention. This is considered a surprise attack? Are you kidding me?”
Even if that weren’t the case a surprise attack among the messenger clan would be foolish. Especially if you were the one who requested a duel first and then got hit there’s no room for excuses.
“Stop! Are you guys trying to embarrass me now?”
Zion became angry and ordered his servants.
“I have already recognized Azadin as the messenger! You oppose my decision. You don’t think I am blind do you?”
“Oh no.”
“But there’s a rumor about that Azadin…”
“Rumors? My sister serves him as a messenger! Rumors are definitely rumors! Or what? The eyes of Midiam Ethar are wrong? Do you think that a young girl of Ethar’s bloodline is that stupid?”
“….”
“sorry.”
The servants who were defeated by Azadin admitted defeat.
“Well then Azadin. The power over the life and death of these servants is in your hands…”
“No need.”
“No need?”
“They are Etar’s servants but they are also members of the Korasar Peddler’s Guild. Rather than having them work as servants for me it would be more beneficial for them to work for the Korasar Peddler’s Guild and receive help. In terms of money goods and information. In every way.”
“Hmm unexpectedly. Isn’t he a pretty classy guy?”
“What’s surprising? I always have a lot of class.”
“That was a bit disrespectful.”
Although he said that Zion was pleased with the fact that Azadin did not take away the lives or loyalty of his servants.

“Everyone. Apologize to Azadin. You only apologized to me right? Tell Azadin himself that you’re sorry for underestimating him and thanking him for not taking his life.”
“I’m sorry Azadin.”
“Thank you for forgiving me for underestimating you and attacking you.”
“If you’re sorry let’s just float this boat. We don’t have time.”
Azadin asked his servants to hitch the goats to the ship’s cart.
Goats and people were hanging onto the boat and floating it on the water but the water was so high that there was no need to move much.
The original village was under water so boats could be launched quickly.
“Good. It looks like it’s been repaired without any problems. Do you know how to drive a boat?”
“no.”
Azadin shook his head.
“Then follow my instructions. I’ll teach you how to steer a sailboat simply. It’s a single-sail boat so you’ll learn it quickly.”
Zion confidently climbed onto the ship and took the helm.
“Excuse me Zion. Are you okay?”
“Most of the people on board the ship are Azadin’s people.”
Etar’s servants who had not challenged Azadin and thus owed him nothing emotionally still distrusted him.
But Zion spoke proudly.
“It doesn’t matter. If this man is a traitor then that means something. You guys move to the next gathering place and fortify it. Contact your elders. If you meet the Arael tribe just watch them and don’t fight them. If you pretend to be a member of the peddler association they won’t kill you. The greatest achievement is to maintain contact without fighting over trivial merits and I will never forget your achievements.”
Zion gave instructions to his servants and boarded the ship with Azadin and his party.
*********
Azadin and his party boarded the boat with Zion. Zion taught them how to handle the boat and since it was a small boat it wasn’t too difficult to learn. However the current was too strong and there were many obstacles.
“The surrounding villages were flooded and trash flowed in. Also the place that has now turned into a river is not a river. It used to be a village. There are buildings underwater so be careful not to bump into them.”
Zion said as he took hold of the key.
“I can’t see anything at all? The water is muddy and the sky is dark so I can’t see anything inside the water.”
“You shouldn’t put the Foresight Magic in water. The Foresight Magic won’t be able to move in water!”
When Ismail shouted like this Zion clicked his tongue.
“That’s because you lack application skills Ismail!”
“yes?!”
“I will teach you the magic of the Seonkyo Ga-ma-u-ji.”
Zion recited the spell and performed the foresight magic himself.
An artificial spirit soaring into the sky dives down from above pierces the water surface checks for obstacles underwater and then rises again.
“ah!”
“That’s great brother! As expected!”
Medium was impressed by Zion’s skills.
“That’s great. I wish I could use foresight too.”
Azadin was also impressed by Zion’s skills.
“Okay. It’s good that you’ve learned about the water but… I used foresight while sailing the boat so….”
“why?”

“Wow!”
Zion couldn’t stand the dizziness and nausea and started vomiting. Everyone was terrified at the sight of his vomit pouring out like a waterfall because he was standing upright.
A neat and handsome young man is vomiting while holding the key.
“Hey! Throw up outside! What are you doing?”
“But you have to hold the key. Ugh!”
“Don’t talk while you’re vomiting! Damn it! Was it my fault for talking in this case?”
When Azadin looked around at his colleagues and asked for their opinions they all nodded.
“You shouldn’t talk at a time like this.”
That’s what Shati said.
“Well… it looks like that.”
Jibek is distressed and unable to bring himself to use foul language.
Everyone was shocked to see Zion vomiting. Even Midiam who called Zion “Brother” and followed him looked arrogant at this horrible sight.
“Ugh. I usually get seasick. I even used foresight magic while riding a boat so I’m going to die.”
“You said you were a messenger and you have motion sickness?”
“Yes. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. Even a young man of noble blood like me has these minor weaknesses. Isn’t that human?”
“Please wipe away the vomit.”
“No it’s disappearing because the wind and rain are so strong.”
“Where would it go? It’s flowing to the floor. Oh really.”
Azadin took out a cloth and dipped it in a nearby bucket of water. The rainwater filled the cloth and it became soaked in no time.
“Ismail wipe Zion’s body and clothes with this.”
“No that’s a deck rag…”
“You won’t know because you’re so wet. Okay. It’s better than being covered in vomit.”
“….”
Ismail approached his original master Sion of the Etar clan and briefly grabbed the deck mop.
As a messenger’s servant I have to listen to my direct superior Azadin but I really hate the idea of having to shove a deck rag into the son of a noble Ethar.
Moreover even in the midst of all this the debris was disappearing from Zion’s body as he held the key while being exposed to the wind and rain. Just how strong must the wind and rain be…
“Ah I don’t know.”
Ismail bowed to Zion and wiped Zion’s body with a deck rag. Zion grumbled as he held the key.
“The wind and rain are so strong that my stomach is rocking back and forth. I’m going to throw up again. I’d better not eat anything.”
Then Scott jumped.
“What are you talking about! That’s ridiculous! I’m catching fish right now!”
“fish?”
I saw Scott and Zibek fishing happily on the deck.
“Well it’s easy to catch. Even without bait.”
Jibek was using a fishing rod by tying suture thread to a hammer.
Come to think of it wasn’t Jibek’s hobby and specialty fishing? He was catching fish without any bait and putting them in a container next to him and Scott was helping him out saying he wanted to make some money.
The ship was so small that it didn’t actually require many people to man the sails. One Sion to helm and two Azadins to man the sails were enough.
A normal person would need at least two people to hold onto the heavy sail in the strong wind but Azadin is strong enough to do it alone.
“You’re going without even eating? How can that be possible? Oh no. I’m going into hypoglycemic shock. My ancestors are beckoning me from across the river.”
Scott held his head.
‘There’s no doubt about this guy’s abilities but he’s really annoying to carry around. He eats a lot and talks a lot… I can see why orcs have a bad reputation even among the followers of the Kurt tribe.’
Azadin was fed up with Scott’s jokes. But he was the leader of the group so he had no choice but to calm Scott down.
“Look. The ship is very fast so it won’t take that long. Let’s go for a while and then find a place to anchor the ship and rest and eat.”
“Ugh. The orcs are dying. You don’t know how delicate the orcs are. I was prepared for the ignorance of humans but it’s still this painful. It’s more painful than I expected.”
“You’re getting mad because you’re so delicate? Do I need to know more about your delicate nature?”
But then it happened.
“Everyone be quiet! It’s coming!”
Shati screamed.
“what?!”
“oh?!”
Medium who was looking ahead from the front spotted something moving along the surface of the water.
“I’m going out!”
“get out?!”
At that moment a flash of lightning illuminated the whole world.
On the surface of the water which was flowing and foaming violently white-skinned nagas were gliding across the water changing their skin color depending on their surroundings.
“Tch!”
“That’s fast!”
When the Nagas noticed their approach they cast a spell. The magic bullets they fired went under the water and bubbled as they approached the ship.
“omg?!”
“Stop it! Medium!”
“yes!”
Medium ran forward toward the bow and took advantage of the rocking of the ship to jump high into the air firing arrows into the air.
-Wedge!
The arrows with a clean trajectory that was hard to believe were the work of a 14-year-old girl’s archery skills swooped down like a dog targeting fish in the water and hit the target.
-pop!
Air cannons burst and waterspouts shot up. Medium fired a few more arrows into the air aiming at the Nagas but the Nagas dove into the water dodging the arrows and then leaped back up to the surface their mouths gaping open.
“conflict!”
A loud noise erupted shaking the Medium in midair from her sense of balance. It was to distract her when she landed.
However Ismail who ran to the side of the boat supports Medium as she lands and the two of them slide backwards over the side of the boat.
Jibek and Shati caught and stopped Midiam and Ismail from slipping.
“What the heck? This human is quite something!”
Azadin’s group’s reaction was beyond their expectations and the Nagas were taken aback.
“Ah. Shit. What should I do?”
Shati looked at the Nagas in a difficult position. If she cooperated with the Nagas here she was afraid of Azadin’s punishment but if she cooperated with Azadin’s group she was afraid that the Nagas would consider her a traitor.
Eventually she pretended to wrap the ship’s rope around her wrists but in reality she held the rope with her own hands and screamed.
“Whoa!”
‘It’s a pain. Well Shati can just use regeneration magic later when we get hurt so we’ll get our money’s worth.’
Azadin smiled bitterly at Shati’s actions.
Meanwhile the gap between the Nagas and the boat was gradually narrowing.
