“Sir Jibek?”
“It looks like Lord Jecht is coming after you. What are you going to do?”
“First I’ll visit the Corasar Peddler Guild to get information and contact the higher-ups to report. It’ll be a hassle for you right? Shall we part ways here?”
“Don’t say that Azadin. To be honest as long as Lord Jecht is in good health I am not safe anywhere. I will continue to follow you for the time being. By following you I am not breaking my vows as a knight of the King’s Church.”
“why?”
“Didn’t you say that your sister is of the Emperor’s blood?”
Azadin and his party were listening from outside the room as Arael who was annoyed by Prince Adler’s arrogance about his bloodline said that he was of the Emperor’s bloodline.
“If your twin sister is like that then you are too.”
“Wouldn’t the King’s Church tremble at the thought of an emperor?”
“Even so it is certain that he is of noble blood.”
“What about noble bloodline… You’re usually fine but sometimes you’re a bit of a nerd. Can’t that be helped since you’re from the King’s Church?”
Azadin knew that Xibek was somehow trying to reconcile his identity as a paladin with the values he had built up while living as a paladin.
I decided to endure it because I knew that it was not because I didn’t know but because I knew that it was to ease the shock of the collapse and reestablishment of values.
‘The Paladin is really serious. What can you do? That’s why he’s a Paladin. Rather if he abandons the existing doctrine too easily and changes it it means his faith is not strong.’
Meanwhile Scott was in a wheelchair when he collided with another drunken staggering man.
“Hiccup. What the heck? What is this? Why is that crippled little bastard riding around like this and hitting people? Oh no I got hurt. Pay for the medical expenses you piece of shit.”
The drunkard lay there like that but when Jibek glared at him he suddenly got up.
“Oh my. If you are a group of knights then speak up.”
“Oh damn it. These people here don’t care at all about wheelchair users! You dumbass! Don’t you know that disabled people can also have great intelligence and that we should pass on their genes to future generations and bring out all the potential our species has?”
When Scott expressed his displeasure Azadin responded.
“First of all you’re not one of our kind and secondly you don’t use a wheelchair because you’re physically disabled; you just use it to avoid using your muscles right?”
“Even someone as fortunate as me can’t get around in a wheelchair so it must be even harder for someone with an injury or other physical impediment to their mobility. Huh.”
Azadin stopped when Scott said that.
It was a commercial area where branch offices of the trading company were gathered. The atmosphere of the street changed completely with the cheap taverns for dock workers closing down and the night patrols by the guards.
“Sir Jibek please wait nearby for now.”

If you have high aspirations you will have allies. Azadin said this while trying to explain why he had become a paladin but when he arrived at a branch he was not familiar with it was a bit of a hassle to bring a paladin with him.
“All right.”
“Okay. Okay. Scott and Shati please.”
Azadin left Scott and Shati in the care of Xibek and headed to the Corasar Traders’ Guild office.
*********
“however….”
Azadin frowned.
“The Senate boasted to Sir William Bald that they would lift my curse.”
Azadin grumbled as he looked at the office of the Korasaar Bobusa Merchant Guild in Lantarik.
The 106th rank messenger Calypso who had been defeated by Derek and Azadin the former messengers of the Peddler Guild that we saw in Salasma was staying at the Lantarik Guild Headquarters.
“Azadin huh? Hmm. I was trying to find the orphans you asked for but you’ve already taken them in.”
Azadin had asked Calypso to find and protect the children born to women who were mistaken for messengers and persecuted as well as other children who had been traded as slaves. However Azadin had found them first so he had left them with the Peddler’s Guild.
“Yeah. We’re going the same way. But you’re secretly talking nonsense?”
When Azadin defeated Calypso Calypso treated Azadin with respect calling him senior and observing his every move. However when they met again after a brief separation she spoke to him in a subtly informal tone.
“What? What are you talking about?”
“No that’s not okay.”
Azadin shook his head not wanting to hear Calypso call him senior and not wanting to get involved in something that didn’t really matter.
“Well anyway if you’re going to handle this first you should at least contact me. I’m wasting your time.”
“I told you to let me know through the peddler association but I guess I didn’t get in touch with you.”
“Oh right. The atmosphere within our clan is a bit like that these days.”
“So what’s going on here?”
“Arael has put a bounty on Aldis Jedah. He has also ordered us to capture and persuade any messengers or families from the Senate or if that is not possible kill or track them down. Thanks to this there are those who are actively pursuing Aldis Jedah but I am trying to take a break.”
“Is it Arael…?”
Azadin felt uncomfortable with Calypso’s words as she calmly followed Arael.
“Do you know that I resisted Arael?”
Calypso nodded.
“I heard Azadin. You rejected Arael’s cause because of the resentment you felt when you were bullied as a child? How petty.”
“Small?”
Azadin was furious at Calypso’s words calling him petty.
It’s not that simple. Of course if we just say it simply it would be like that but it’s ridiculous for the one who encourages forgiveness or reconciliation to call the one who refuses it petty.
‘It’s even more unforgivable.’
Azadin looked at Calypso in astonishment.
“The Senate and the Five Great Clans are already sinking ships. They have ruled Aragasa for a long time but they have not achieved any results and they have not been able to present a firm vision like Arael. The future of the clan lies with Arael. Of course the merchants are half-heartedly straddling the fence because they have their own positions but I have decided to serve Arael with deep loyalty.”
“….”
“So what does Arael like? Do you know what she likes?”
“At least I know what you don’t like.”
“Oh what is it?”

“you.”
Azadin said that and walked into the office. The people who were organizing documents inside the office recognized Azadin.
At the largest desk was the branch manager Lantarik wearing a monocle. She was a middle-aged woman in neat attire with a cool beautiful appearance.
She cleared her throat.
“How dare you come in so carelessly. Normally I wouldn’t meet a lower-ranking messenger in person but it’s a different story when it comes to Lady Arael’s younger sister.”
She put that point first.
For the Aragasa clan the position of the Emperor’s Herald is of the utmost importance. Everyone in the clan strives competes and challenges to become the Herald.
But not everyone can be a messenger.
Most of them become servants or merchants and work as external organizations of the messenger clan. Those who were messengers but are no longer able to work due to old age or injury also work for external organizations.
However since humans are beings who rationalize themselves even though they wanted to be messengers so badly when they are no longer messengers they claim that they are equal to or superior to the messengers.
In particular merchants have great influence because they have money material and organizational capabilities and active messengers also need their help.
‘So you’re saying that I’m meeting you because I’m Arael’s brother?’
Indeed the branch manager lowered his voice and spoke to Azadin.
“We haven’t decided who to support yet but we don’t want to treat you badly as you are Arael’s younger brother. If you have any demands please let us know.”
“First of all I wanted to report directly to the Senate but I lost the Emperor’s voice… and I was suddenly dismissed from my post?”
At first I was outraged by the Senate’s sudden tyranny in dismissing me but now I understand the situation to some extent.
Arael is rapidly expanding her influence among the youth and even betraying those who were raised as the four leaders of the Flower Bird and Moon.
If the Senate and the Arael tribe were to engage in an all-out war at this point Azadin would probably bet that the Arael side would win.
Given that situation it’s likely that they wanted to somehow put Azadin Arael’s younger brother in chains.
‘Besides it seems Arael declared that she cares for me.’
All the guys around look at Azadin differently.
Arael’s beloved younger sister.
Everyone must be thinking that way.
‘Thanks to that I feel comfortable but I feel miserable.’
“So what’s your business? Arael’s younger sister?”
Branch Manager Lantarik asked Azadin.
“I want to meet a nearby elder.”
“We want to meet too.”
“What? What does that mean?”
“We are currently neutral. However the Senate has hidden itself because the Arael tribe is on the rise and is targeting them. We are currently unable to contact them.”
“No wait. Does that mean the Senate is afraid of the Arael tribe?”
Azadin felt dizzy when he heard those words.
It’s been hundreds of years since Aragasa became the messenger clan and now those hundreds of years of tradition are being destroyed by just one person Arael?
“Then even if you claim to be neutral the elders won’t contact you either. How can I meet the elders and their leader?”
“I can’t help you with that. How about meeting Etar?”
“Etar bloodline?”
“Yes. If you go to Coral Sahar the capital of the Kingdom of Korasar the branch leaders there are people from the Etar clan.”
Coral Sahar is the original name of the Kingdom of Korasaar.
The general public simply called him ‘Korasar’ but the branch manager showed off his sophistication by calling him ‘Kora Sahar’ in the old fashioned way.
‘Then why don’t you call me Asahdin too?’
Azadin found the branch manager’s attitude of showing off his vanity in unnecessary places funny but strangely enough he didn’t hate it that much because she was beautiful.
When Midiam told the story of the Etar clan he clapped his hands as if something had come to mind.
“Ah. You mean Zion Brother.”
“Yes. The Etar clan will also be in contact with the elders.”
In short the Senate is currently in hiding pushed out by the tribe of Arael.
Even though Azadin claims his innocence and wants to meet with them to lift the curse on his abdomen they do not meet with him. They are afraid that their position will be revealed and they will be expelled from the tribe of Arael.
‘What the heck is going on? Why did it turn out like this?’
“hmm….”
Medium said looking very embarrassed.
“In this situation it would be wise to just surrender to Arael.”
Wouldn’t it be better to surrender to Arael and first do something about the curse of service? asked Medium.
“I hate that so much.”
“To that extent?”
“Midiam. Are you Etar and trying to persuade me to go to the tribe of Arael?”
“Rather than that… if you make a rational choice.”
surely….
If you make a rational choice it is better to choose Arael who will first lift the curse of service.
And it would be better to accept the apology she wants. She gives you money power and even a beautiful woman.
Is it just Azadin’s emotions that are blocking his reconciliation with Arael?
No that’s not it.
When Azadin confronted Arael he noticed that she was using the power of the Nether.
Otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to heal wounds that quickly even though it’s not even divine magic.
however….
‘She couldn’t possibly claim to have the power of the Nether and then look ridiculous.’
First of all there is no clear evidence. And looking at the current atmosphere it seems like there are many people who will continue to support her whether or not she uses the power of the Nether.
Eventually Azadin decided to leave the meeting with the branch manager and head to Koral Sahar the capital of the Kingdom of Korasar.
