Night of the Soulless Heathens – 128

“uh?”
Adler looked at his arm. The severed wrist was flying into the sky.
“Get your filthy hands off me! This is the presence of Lady Arael!”
Arael’s subordinate who had been enduring and enduring until just now due to Arael’s restraint shouted in excitement.
‘What the heck? You guy? You cut off my hand with your bare hands?’
Even though I only struck with the blade of my hand without a weapon the bones were cleanly cut off. Blood spurted out from the smooth cross-section as if it had been cut with an axe.
“Eww!”
As Adler screamed a voluptuous female messenger grabbed Adler’s shoulder and knocked him forward.
And when she took out the hairpin from her hair it heated itself and gave off a bright red light. With the hairpin that seemed to have just been heated in the blacksmith’s shop she skillfully burned Adler’s wound. The smell of burning meat wafted everywhere.
“Eww!”
“Oh my. Hold on. You’re a grown man aren’t you?”
She smiled brightly and snatched a golden key from Adler’s hand.
The reason they came in unarmed was because they didn’t really need weapons. They were such powerful warriors and magicians.
“What about those keys?!”
Azadin asked Brand noticing the keys Adler had taken away.
“That is the key to the Emperor’s treasury!”
“Ugh?!”
Azadin was shocked to hear that. After all the trouble of coming all the way to Lantarik why did Arael’s faction steal the key to the Emperor’s treasury?
However these people are not easy. Perhaps because of the negotiations with Adler they are not easy to survive even though they are empty-handed. Above all they feel alive even outside of these people.
‘That woman is the famous flower Demia. Is the man also a bird Seraph? And there’s an ambush.’
As Azadin hesitated Ismail stepped forward.
“Azadin! This is your chance to strike Arael and prove your loyalty to your clan.”
At that moment everyone’s life force was focused on Ismail.
“It’s not the clan it’s the Senate.”
The woman holding the hairpin grumbled. The man who cut off Adler’s hand glared at Ismail.

“It looks like we are servants. Don’t you know who we are?”
“Why don’t you know?”
Ismail pointed to a woman wearing a hairpin.
“Dimia of the Flower.”
“oh.”
“And the Seraph of the Birds.”
“…….”
The man who cut off Adler’s hands with his blade glared at Ismail.
“Aleph of the Wind.”
A tongue-clicking sound was heard from the castle watchtower terrace.
“Indim of the Moon.”
Ismail pointed to the roof.
-Boom!
The roof was torn off and a shadowy figure covered in a robe landed on top of it. The Indim of the Moon had broken into the building when Ismail noticed its presence.
Judging by the fact that Aleph and Indim were still holding onto their weapons… no matter what Adler did his life was right in Arael’s hands.
“The team leaders of Hwajopungwol were the ones who would become the next leaders of Aragasa. But now they are traitors to their clan.”
“Then even if we come empty-handed I guess you know that we are an opponent you cannot dare to challenge. Azadin. Didn’t you give us a good training as servants?”
Arael smiled and spoke to Azadin.
“What are you thinking Arael?”
“I plan to save the world.”
Arael’s answer was concise.
“Saving the world?”
Azadin laughed at Arael’s words… but he was afraid.
The Age of Jupiter approaches and the gods lose their power. During this time Arael whom I met had become incomparably more powerful than before.
It seems like the plan of the Arael tribe was to call Arael a goddess and make her a wise god to be worshipped. It may seem crazy but now that I think about it it seems quite feasible.
But if that happens the woman Azadin hates will become the savior of this world.
The hatred contempt and disgust that Azadin harbors for her are not accepted by anyone and Azadin who is already ostracized even among the messenger clan will become an outcast who is not understood by anyone.
Arael reached out to Azadin.
“I will save the world and save you Azadin. Are you under the curse of service? Come here. I will take care of it.”
“….”
When Arael reached out to Azadin Seraph and Aleph showed obvious dislike. Are they worried that Azadin being Arael’s younger brother would join late and threaten their status?
Fortunately for them Azadin had no intention of accepting Arael’s offer.
“Don’t refuse!”
Azadin placed his hand on the hilt of his sword.
Among Arael’s group only Wind Aleph and Moon Indim have weapons.
But just because the rest of them are all bare-handed they are not enemies to let down your guard against. Didn’t he actually cut off Adler’s arm with his bare hands?
But before them Arael suddenly walked into Azadin’s gap. She came in empty-handed without any tension at a distance where she could cut off his head if she just drew her sword.

Do you think you can’t swing a sword because you’re my brother? After leaving an indelible scar on Azadin’s face?
Azadin glared at her in disbelief.
“Is there any reason to refuse? Why? Oh… Is it because of Aldis?”
Azadin became furious when Aldis’ name was mentioned.
“I’ve never liked that about you Arael. First of all apologize to me!”
“How dare you!?”
“How rude Azadin! Even if you are Arael’s blood relative how dare you!”
When Azadin demanded an apology from Arael Arael’s four confidants Hwajopungwol became enraged.
To them Arael is a divine being a living goddess. She and humans are not equal and even though they are younger siblings Azadin is a powerless being.
However it is rude to dare to ask Arael for an apology. Of course there was also the reason that Azadin as Arael’s blood relative was worried that he would enter the organization and disrupt the seniority order.
But Arael restrained their anger and apologized to Azadin.
“Everyone stop it. Why are you interfering with my brother’s conversation? When did you become so cocky?”
“I’m sorry Arael.”
“I can’t stand it anymore I’ll stop.”
“You’re not even as verbally abusive as Prince Adler? Is my brother that annoying?”
Arael noticed that his men were particularly wary of Azadin.
The Absolute’s younger brother.
For those who have sworn allegiance to Arael there is no opponent more difficult than this. That is why they find it harder to tolerate Azadin’s every move than Adler’s open verbal abuse.
“First of all Azadin. I apologize for the rudeness of my subordinates.”
“Is that the end?”
“No. I apologize for everything. I’m sorry for tormenting you as a child. And I’m sorry for hurting you.”
“….”
“Okay?”
Arael looked at Azadin with an innocent smile.
A beautiful and charming beauty with purple eyes that seem to suck in magic resembling Azadin but without eyes is smiling without any malice.
The sight was so disgusting that Azadin couldn’t bear it.
“How could that be possible! Even now I have nightmares when I sleep! You’ve made me suffer my whole life and you think that you can forgive me with just a few words right now?!”
“Of course I understand. So aren’t you trying to show your sincerity?”
“sex?”
“Yes. I will lift the curse of service on you give you money and if you want I will give you a beautiful woman. Fame and wealth longevity and a beautiful woman. As a man isn’t this the life you couldn’t ask for more?”
“Ha hahaha! How ridiculous.”
Azadin placed his hand on the hilt of his sword. At the same time Azadin’s other hand threw the dagger. Almost simultaneously with the throwing of the dagger he struck Arael’s neck with his sword.
However Arael catches the dagger flying towards her in the air and uses it to block Azadin’s sword…
-Cock!
The sword slipped out of Azadin’s hand and lodged in the ceiling rafters.
The sword was so deeply embedded that the hilt with only the tip sticking out wagged its tail.
‘That’s ridiculous.’
Zibek and Shati who knew of Azadin’s great strength were astonished at the sight. Arael was not even a little bit pushed back by Azadin’s great strength. Instead wasn’t she smiling faintly?
“It’s been a while. Let’s see how much our little brother has grown.”
“You can come and see as much as you want but the admission fee will be quite expensive!”
“Are you looking forward to it? Oh you shouldn’t use magic. Are you using Kazas Haeseo?”
Then the four members of Hwajopungwol were embarrassed.
The source of Arael’s power is special magic. But you’re going to fight her in close combat without using magic?
“I will do it for you. There is no need for you Arael to get your hands dirty.”
Aleph of the Wind tried to come forward but Arael shook her head.
“What’s so dirty about mixing hands with your younger brother? Everyone step aside. I won’t forgive anyone who interferes here.”
“….”
It was an opportunity for Azadin. Arael was probably trying to show off his superiority by defeating Azadin in his specialty area…
‘You’re making fun of Kazas. Now is your chance.’
Arael and Azadin stood between each other.
The gap between the two messenger clans in close combat may seem ridiculous but they can both inflict fatal wounds with their bare hands.
Arael confidently approached Azadin holding one of the daggers she had taken from him earlier.
At that moment Azadin subdued the hand holding Arael’s dagger and flicked the quiver with his other hand. He picked up the arrows pouring out of the quiver with his other hand and stabbed Arael.
But Arael lightly strikes the arrows with her palm and sends them flying instead stabbing Azadin’s finger into his temple.
You want to poke the temple of your skull with your finger? It seems like a ridiculous attack but it is not acceptable.
Azadin and Arael’s hands and feet crossed in the air and each time a cracking sound erupted.
“?!”
“That’s ridiculous!”
Those who were watching were astonished.
Azadin’s group who knew well about Azadin’s great strength were surprised that Arael was able to withstand such great strength with a woman’s body and Arael’s subordinates were bewildered that Azadin known to be incompetent dared to fight Arael on equal terms.
“It’s pretty good! As expected from Kazas!”
Arael was amazed at how great Azadin’s abilities were.
At that time something happened that shook the balance of the tense battle.
As Arael was stabbing Azadin with the water gun Azadin grabbed Arael’s wrist in the middle and swept his hand from top to bottom forcing Arael to bend his fingers.
-Thud!
Arael’s index finger broke. The moment Arael surprised tried to pull her hand away Azadin’s two arms entangled her like a viper and dislocated her wrists.
Arael dislocated her wrist bone with her strength as she pulled her arm away.
“It’s completely different from 10 years ago!?”
Arael praised Azadin perhaps more out of surprise than pain.
However Azadin had no intention of stopping here. The four members of Arael’s subordinates Hwajopungwol were talented individuals raised by the elders of the Herald Clan and each possessed overwhelming skills.
If we don’t secure Arael now that she’s come out ahead and let her guard down we’ll have to deal with the four members of Hwajopungwol.
‘At least to the extent of taking Arael hostage here….’
But then Arael laughed.
“I’m glad!”
