The Joseon Prince Went To America And Didn’t Return – 90

My role in this meeting of seven is very important.
The six powers excluding me have been dividing the American financial world knowingly or unknowingly balancing each other out.
Because I suddenly intervened and shook the flat weights of the scales.
‘Everyone must be in a hurry.’
Don’t the capitalists of this era try everything they can to achieve their own interests?
The six forces each tried to lure me to their side in various ways.
I too did not miss this opportunity weighed it all and acted to maximize my own benefit.
“This prince.”
“Representative Rockefeller.”
Several factors contributed to the selection of Rockefeller among the six powers.
First of all he is a ‘pure’ American.
A native born American not a first generation immigrant.
In the United States a country of immigrants it’s a bit ridiculous to divide people into immigrants and native Americans.
What can we do when society is like this?
The United States in the early 20th century was a society that treated Catholic whites like Italians and Irish as fake whites.
I too was unhappy with this practice of dividing people into groups based on their origins but I couldn’t completely ignore this in the current climate in the United States so I took this into careful consideration.
‘Unlike me who came from a foreign land Rockefeller is a relatively legitimate businessman. He is also a person who can offset many of my weaknesses.’
Moreover he is rich.
And he’s not just any rich man he’s the richest man in America.
Excluding Baron Rothschild whose wealth is unknown the richest man in America today is undoubtedly Rockefeller.
This was possible because a company called Standard Oil monopolized more than 90% of the American oil refining industry.
‘Furthermore oil is the power of the future.’
How could a piece of paper like the dollar push out the pound and gold?
Because everyone paid for oil in dollars.
So naturally I went to New Jersey where Standard Oil was headquartered to make prior arrangements with Rockefeller.

“Thank you for inviting me.”
“No. I appreciate it more since you came all the way from the West despite your busy schedule.”
I looked at Rockefeller with a worried expression.
“How are you feeling? You seem thinner than last time.”
Unfortunately Rockefeller was suffering from an incurable disease.
It was a disease called alopecia.
It is said that the disease is accompanied by sparse loss of body hair including hair on the head and eyebrows and severe digestive problems.
“I can’t say it’s okay. Isn’t it an incurable disease?”
Yeah I see.
Unlike the plump appearance of other businessmen of this era he has a very slim body.
Moreover perhaps because he had lost his hair he did not look like the richest man in America at first glance.
Rather he seemed like a poor person.
‘Are you really okay?’
Rockefeller seemed to have read my mind and gave me a look of approval as he led me into his office.
“When the doctor first diagnosed me with this disease he said I would not live past a year.”
“Heh heh.”
“But it’s already been ten years. Prince look at me. Am I not alive and well?”
Rockefeller used to brag about his doctor’s misdiagnosis and lavishly praised God saying that it was all thanks to God that he was still alive.
“I wonder if God doesn’t want to see me yet. He has protected me by giving me this life which is as tough as iron tendons as grace. I am so thankful.”
In fact the reason Rockefeller was able to live so long was because of his efforts to live long.
He passed all his company work to his son to reduce stress.
I was taking care of my health by going for walks eating and quitting smoking.
If you are not oblivious it might be worth mentioning but Rockefeller was a very devout believer.
That’s why I decided to just skip over it without mentioning it.
“By the way the prince seems to be healthier than before.”
Because I exercise regularly.
I started out so that I wouldn’t be ignored by others but now I’m working hard to build up my body for my own satisfaction.
I stirred slightly and asked Rockefeller again if he had really changed much.
“I’ve been working out a bit lately to take care of my health. Do you think your body has really gotten better?”
“Yes. First of all your complexion looks better and your body itself seems to have grown a lot. Also your hair has become thicker. Even though you are getting older.”
The head.
I think it’s because it grew a little more than last year….
‘What is it? You keep looking at my hair as if you were looking at gold.’
Rockefeller suffers from hair loss possibly due to alopecia.
He stared at my flowing black hair with an incredibly envious look.
It was so fierce that I couldn’t exchange glances with him for a while.
“I too was once in my thirties. I was really happy back then. I had a lot of hair and a good body…”

Something successful CEOs always say.
In my time you know.
When I was young.
I live with this phrase on my lips.
Rockefeller seems to be one of those people.
“…In an instant I became such a wretched body. Time really is so indifferent. Prince enjoy your youth even for a little longer.”
With those words Rockefeller leapt to his feet.
I did something different to lighten the mood.
He walked around his office for a moment then looked back and forth between the window and me.
“This prince.”
“Yes sir. Go ahead.”
“The strike is spreading like wildfire burning across America.”
“I heard that the protests are the most violent in the Northeast especially in New York.”
Rockefeller nodded in agreement.
“That’s right. New York is like that and here in New Jersey is like that. Oh! How about this prince’s company?”
“Our company… is working hard and conducting research as usual.”
I spoke as if this strike were someone else’s problem.
Because the companies I actually own are still running very well.
“Oh. What’s your secret? Is it because you only hire Koreans?”
“That’s not it. I don’t favor any particular ethnicity.”
“then?”
“We just provide them with appropriate wages and working conditions. We just don’t exploit our workers.”
Rockefeller frowned and thought back to what I had said.
“A proper working environment with proper wages…”
The capitalists of this era squeezed the workers and made them work for very cheap wages.
It’s like a sneaker factory where children work as in a 21st century third world documentary.
Here in the United States too many young workers were working hard in equally poor working conditions.
I pointed this out and talked about my business ethics.
Rockefeller listened to my story for a while and then changed the subject.
“Come to think of it it seems like the prince is also very active in scholarship programs.”
“Yes. The scholarship program has been in operation for three years.”
“I understand that you are also active in projects to help Koreans living in the mainland.”
“you’re right.”
“In some ways it’s amazing. Even if we are of the same nationality it’s not easy to save the beggars.”
Rockefeller continued his argument by snapping his fingers.
“To be honest I don’t understand it either. Shouldn’t the lazy starve and the diligent be given at least a handful more bread?”
right.
That was the basic mindset of capitalists with capitalist ideology.
“Your argument is also correct sir. However things in this world do not always go according to plan. I think you know this better than anyone else.”
“….”
“Due to the contradictions in the social structure even the diligent sometimes go hungry. Rather than saving the whole community I am running scholarship and rehabilitation projects in parallel to help as many unfortunate people as possible who are suffering from these social contradictions.”
I persuaded Rockefeller by explaining the purpose of my philanthropy.
“People like you and me get an education without worrying about hunger but some people work from a young age worrying about their daily meals. I think we should at least give new opportunities to poor children who are capable.”
“okay.”
The truth is I do this charity work to expand my influence.
People don’t usually tell others everything about their true feelings.
Because I too was such a two-faced person I promoted myself to Rockefeller by emphasizing only my good aspects.
“hmm….”
At this Rockefeller seemed to reminisce about the past for a moment.
“As I discuss this topic with the prince I am reminded of a story I once had with my mother.”
“Mother?”
“Yes. My late mother also said this sometimes.”
It is said that Rockefeller’s mother encouraged her son to start charity work saying that he would not take all that wealth with him to the afterlife.
But Rockefeller was still reluctant to spend his hard-earned money on idle unemployed people.
“Don’t think of it as a big deal just donate a small amount and watch.”
“….”
“If you see how the lives of the recipients are changed by your scholarship you might think differently.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes I did.”
Why did you choose Rockefeller among the seven members?
Because he’s a native?
Because you have the most money?
Because they have a monopoly on the oil business which is the power of the future?
All correct.
But there was another main reason.
This is because he will transform from an ‘entrepreneur’ to a ‘philanthropist’ starting next year and the year after.
‘Rockefeller is 69 years old this year. In the original history he was supposed to live for another thirty years… but did he know he would live that long?’
Considering the average age of today Rockefeller is at an age where he should be worrying about whether he will go to heaven or hell when he dies.
‘Others may be my competitors but Rockefeller is not.’
Of course he could compete with Rockefeller Jr. but he was a very dutiful son who followed his father’s words very well.
If only Rockefeller could cook it well he wouldn’t have to worry about his son.
‘It’s a way to slightly open the way to charity. Let’s show people how to spend money faster than history.’
I spoke with Rockefeller and tried to explain to him how meaningful and rewarding the scholarship program was.
Rockefeller must have always thought about scholarships because he listened to what I had to say carefully.
“Oh the sun has already set. I came here because I had something to talk to the prince about.”
Rockefeller who had been looking outside for a moment soon began to tell me what he had wanted to say.
“I’ll give you a heads up on the topics that will come up at the meeting in two days. The first one will probably be… the interim settlement of the funds we provided last time.”
Each contributed ten million dollars.
They say that they have collected funds separately to be used as a bailout fund and that they are slowly making an interim settlement.
This is probably because the financial crisis has stabilized to some extent.
“After that there will be talk about the creation of the Federal Reserve and then there will likely be talk about the Republican primary.”
The central issue of this meeting was the establishment of a Federal Reserve Bank.
But Rockefeller casually mentioned the subject to me treating the issue of establishing a Federal Reserve Bank as if it were nothing more than a ditch effort.
“I guess you called me here because you wanted to discuss these three matters in advance.”
“Yes that’s right.”
huh?
Rockefeller keeps glancing to the right.
It’s an empty room.
He kept looking at me and his eyes were spinning as if he had hidden a honey pot.
“Your Majesty there is something more important than that story.”
“What is it?”
“First I would like to give this to the prince.”
What Rockefeller handed over was a picture of a woman.
He wasn’t an Asian he was a Westerner.
I tilted my head and asked Rockefeller about the identity of the woman in the photo.
“Who are you?”
Rockefeller answered my question with a faint smile.
“This is my nephew your highness the prince.”
* * *
“Your nephew?”
“Yes. He is my younger brother’s youngest child so it is right to call him my nephew.”
James Hill too.
The Rothschild man too.
Everyone keeps suggesting marriage alliances to get involved with me.
Rockefeller was also in a hurry so he pulled my nephew in and watched me closely.
“She is twenty-six years old this year. I would like to introduce her to you because I think she would be a perfect fit for the prince’s wife.”
Twenty six.
It’s not that old these days but it’s still old by today’s standards.
Because people usually get married when they are between twenty and twenty-two years old.
If I send a positive signal here we’ll get to marriage at the speed of light.
‘I haven’t even answered Rothschild and Hill Warburg yet…’
The three previous powers were delaying their decision putting off the answer day after day.
It was because I felt a little sorry about something.
“What do you think of this kid?”
“It’s so… pretty.”
The woman in the photo boasted great beauty.
of course.
I didn’t think the real thing would be this great.
Even though we live in an age before Photoshop lighting and angles still exist.
Moreover 2D and 3D are different.
That’s why I never judge a person’s appearance based on a photo alone.
“I guess you like it. I can see your ears are red.”
“….”
Are your ears red?
I hurriedly touched my ear.
Then Rockefeller started laughing.
‘This inspiration…’
You keep picking it up and putting it down.
Rockefeller perhaps unable to read my wary mind made me an offer.
“Would you like to say hello?”
“Hello?”
“Yes. My nephew will be waiting in the room next door.”
and.
Look at this snake.
I was caught off guard.
I thought they would be discussing the contents of the meeting of the seven people.
Was it a blind date place?
“Ethel. Come in.”
At his call a mature woman entered Rockefeller’s office.
and….
It’s dazzlingly beautiful.
A halo shone from behind.
“Hello. My name is Ethel Geraldine Rockefeller. Prince Lee Kang.”
I looked at her with my mouth wide open without realizing it.
Then Rockefeller glanced at me with a sinister smile.
