    Chapter Index

Elemental earth is not just any random earth out there, but a special substance close to the essence of the earth element, and exists almost exclusively naturally in elemental planes, elemental creatures, and some minerals with magical powers.

The ancient earth spirits, ancestors of the dwarves, were composed of this almost pure substance.

I see, the recipe is to use the body mechanics of the dwarves to fight the poison, right? It’s really simple and crude.

According to Jace’s memories, the Elemental Earth needed to kill living earth elemental creatures to have a small chance of obtaining it, and these elementals were roaming around in some extremely dangerous places, so with his ability he wouldn’t have to think about going to look for them on his own.

When playing the game, Jace used to make his first bucket of money early in the version by building elemental whetstones out of Elemental Earth, which was quite expensive even in a world where terrifying warriors capable of single-handedly defeating young dragons existed everywhere in the game.

After flipping back and forth a few pages, this book does not describe how to obtain the elemental earth in this world and the price, we can only go to the “Alchemist’s Need” to ask.

Walking in the door of the store, Ruth wasn’t there this time, and the store keeper was a young blonde girl.

    “Hello, can I help you?”

Jess asked, “And you are, Maria Lumire?”

The girl said, “It’s me, my mother’s out and I’m helping with the store, I remember your voice, you’re the herbalist right?”

“Right.” Jess was slightly relieved; if Ruth had been there, she would have been able to guess that she had been necropoisoned, and I’m afraid she would have had to be sarcastic about it.

“I want to know the price of the Elemental Earth.”

“Elemental Earth?” The girl opened her mouth in surprise and said, “Do you …… want to reserve it? I can talk to my mother and ask her to write to Dalaran, or Lordaeron, and ask the alchemists there if they have any in stock that they intend to sell …… It might take two or three months or so, and there’s no way to tell you a firm date.”

Jace got a very familiar feeling, the same feeling he had earlier at Duncan’s Tailor Shop when he was listening to the shopkeeper tell him how the seven gold coins outfit came to be.

He wasn’t too interested in the price of the Elemental Earth anymore; after all, the cost of writing a letter, contacting alchemists in several cities, and then waiting for months for the event was way beyond his imagination.

“No need.” Jace waved his hand, and just as he was about to leave, he turned around again.

“Do you know of a good way to get rid of necrotic poison?”

“Undo the necromancy?” Maria said, “One could ask at the Cathedral of Light.”

Yeah …… why don’t you go to a priest?

Feeling like a fool all of a sudden, Jace said his thanks and stormed out of the alchemy room.

It was just after noon, walking briskly down the streets along the canals of Stormwind, and even though the day was a bit overcast, it still felt to Jace as if a halo of light was sheathed over everything.

Perhaps it was because of the waves of water on the surface of the canal river, or perhaps after going through the symptoms of necromancy, he began to care more about these unusual sensations.

Now he was beginning to feel all over the place, as if he would soon become a zombie, and thinking so, his legs were beginning to fail him.

The sunlight becomes more and more harsh, sun on the body skin is a little painful, is it going to be on the spot to metamorphose into a vampire? Creating the Saarinen clan more than ten years in advance ……

Would walking fast accelerate the spread of the venom throughout the body? Jace remembered hearing once that you can’t move strenuously when you have snake venom, or you’ll die faster.

With that thought, things seemed to blur even more in front of me.

Church Square was originally in the northernmost part of Stormwind City, and after the expansion and remodeling around it, the city expanded a bit to the north, and the Church Square of the moment had become the center of the city, surrounded by a large pile of construction sites.

During the war, the cathedral served as a refuge for refugees for a long time, and today the church square is still inhabited by people who have not finished rebuilding their homes.

The Cathedral of Light is still magnificent enough, even if its reconstruction is not yet complete and the scaffolding and ladders are still stacked thickly on top of the high tower and white walls.

After admiring the grandeur of the cathedral all the way across the newly rebuilt canal bridge, Jace was stopped by a guard before he could see the doorway to the church square.

“The King and Queen are visiting the sick and suffering refugees in the Church Square, and no one is allowed to enter.”

“I’m sick too.” Jess said, “And it’s serious …… I need the help of a priest.”

    “What’s wrong?”

“I’ve been poisoned, probably with necrotic poison.”

The guard lifted Jace’s chin and glanced at his neck.

“I can’t say what it is, but you really aren’t quite right physically …… You can go in, but don’t go to the plaza, and the people there won’t let you in. Some of the priests are taking care of the sick in that building on the left, so take your chances.”

    “Thank you so much.”

Jace had wanted to go straight to the small building the guards had pointed out when he was let through, but had a sudden curiosity about what King Varian Urien, who was still a teenager, actually looked like.

As he passed the entrance to the church square, he glanced inside and was seeing rows and rows of guards and expensively dressed nobles blocking the door.

Behind the crowd, the waving blue-bottomed lion flag was moving slowly, and every now and then there were cheers and chants, and that’s probably where the king was, but there was nothing to see from here.

A few of the guards blocking the street stared at Jace, who was looking around inside, and Jace didn’t dare linger a moment longer, so he just headed for the building.

Too bad we didn’t get to see the king.

Jace felt as if he was all a bit of a star chaser, but crossing over doesn’t give you a golden finger, doesn’t give you any powerful bloodlines, and you’re not even allowed to chase after a star anymore?

Entering the small building where the guards said they were temporarily housing the sick citizens, there were a lot of patients waiting to be seen, many priests were surrounded by them, and a tall man who didn’t know if he was a paladin or a guard was keeping order, but it didn’t look like it was working very well.

It just so happened that a female priest was finishing up a conversation with a wounded man who was being held up, so Jess squeezed right through.

“Hello …… Pastor, do you have a moment?”

“Sure. What kind of help do you need?”

Jess remembered the experience of going to the public hospital before crossing the border, facing a black crowd of all kinds of patients asking all kinds of strange questions, it was not easy for the doctor to maintain his composure.

The priest here, on the other hand, went even further, actually giving Jace a little smile when he finished, though it was tinged with fatigue and sweat stains, and lasted for a moment before turning away.

    “I think I’ve got necrotic poisoning ……”

“Corpse poison? Are you sure, sir, where you’ve been that could possibly give you necropoisoning? You might have to be attacked by a ghoul to get necropoisoned ……”

“I’ve been to the cemetery and scratched my hand.”

The priest lowered his head skeptically and rolled up his sleeve to look at the veins in Jace’s neck on his arm, his eyes flickering slightly.

    “You’re coming with me.”
