Chapter 233: New Stuff
by Jessie@AFNCCIt was late afternoon when they returned to Stormwind, and the dwarf followed Jace to the intersection heading to his family’s rented home.
Jace gave him a look and asked, “You’re not going back?”
“I’m going to follow you to Winressa’s.” Grid said, “I have to watch you hand over those materials to the elves.”
Jess asked, “You just want to know where Winressa her family lives, don’t you?”
“You think I’d be interested in a little white-haired girl?” Grider said, “Come on, put the bags down and let’s go.”
Jace shook his head and said, “Don’t count on it, there’s no way I’m bringing those papers into the mage area, one accident and we’re both done for, I was already on edge enough at noon in the Western Springs Fortress.”
“So how are you going to get it?” The dwarf said.
“I’ll drop it off at home and then go make an appointment with Walesa to hand it over somewhere insensitive, so go home, and I’ll tell you the specifics tomorrow when we have lunch together, you don’t expect me to learn necromancy in one night, do you?”
“You can copy one out in a night.” Grider said.
Jace took out all the paper at once and laid it before the dwarf and said, “A copy? You think I can make one copy in one night? These dense runes? If I had this ability, I would go directly to the Storm City Library to apply for a job, and still with you in the wind and rain to take life for money?”
Grid looked at the papers again and said, “Well …… I’ll meet you over at the Wizard’s Sanctuary tomorrow at noon.”
“What about those coins, orc coins.” Jace asked, glancing at Grid’s bag.
“I’ll find someone to sell it out in the next two days.” Grid said, “It’ll probably sell for a gold coin or two, so I’ll split it with you when the time comes …… That’s a gold coin or two, and that’s supposed to make people happy, isn’t it? Jace? Remember when we got that Gulabash gold coin on the ship? What’s it turned into now …… Get rid of those necromancer ghosts early, don’t let the night grow long!”
“Definitely.” Jace said.
“Then I believe you.” Grid nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow at noon then.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow at noon.”
Watching the dwarf disappear around the corner, Jace went back to his house, organized his things, and hung his cloak and vestments in the window to dry in the sun.
Not to mention all the necrotic leather paper, the scratches on this cloak and that arrow eyelet on his robes were enough to make him sick for the rest of the night.
He sat on the bed, unable to take his eyes off the scratch, unable to resist rubbing it with his fingers as hard as he could.
Sighing, he checked his luggage and drew the sword again.
To keep the sword from cutting through packages and whatnot, he and Grid carefully wrapped the blade in rags, but even that revealed enough of that evil blackness to make one feel a drumbeat in their heart.
“Saeuno, come out.”
“Ah, master.” The little ghost jumped out and also saw the sword that was placed in front of him.
“What is this sword?” Jace asked.
“The bayonet of Tos Rezim.” The little ghost said, “It’s recognizable even when you look at it like this, seeing as how it’s shaped in the same way that characterizes the weapons of those black evil ghosts, like a ceremonial bayonet, with a handguard that looks like the fangs of two ghostly bats!”
“Nasrezim I know, what the hell is Tosrezim?” Jace asked.
The little ghost said, “Ah, they are the loyal servants of Nasrezim …… the messengers they send to all parts of the Twisted Void to deliver messages and carry out orders …… I have seen such black devils skimming the skies on Nastoi! They are far more savage and berserk than their superiors, their wings do not look like fleshy wings but rather like two giant meat hooks carved with magical symbols of the Nasrezim language, and each of them carries a razor-sharp bayonet or a gruesome razor! Such creatures are like a hybrid born of an ugly Nasrezim who raped the Ghost King Yarozbar! Haha!”
This statement struck Jace as a bit awkward, and he held the sword up and asked, “Why doesn’t Azeroth have Tosrezum?”
The little ghost playfully laughed: “No! They are far from being as powerful as their masters, perhaps they don’t dare to appear outside of the demon’s territory for fear of exposing their masters …… Forget it, consider me talking nonsense, I wouldn’t dare to guess what their masters are thinking, heh heh heh! But since they are willing to give this kind of weapon to the Death Knights, it means that for them, the ghosts of the orcs have taken the place of Tos Rezum’s duties ……”
“So is this sword …… sturdy?”
Jace scratched back and forth with it, and while the Kid had described the weapon as looking like a dagger, it was actually a bit longer than any dagger he’d ever seen, even the long dagger wielded by the Death Knight he’d met in Dalaran.
Presumably because that so-called Tos Rezim were much larger than humans, the ceremonial dagger they wielded was about as good as a short sword to a human.
“Is it sturdy?” The little ghost laughed twice and said, “Is the master questioning the craftsmanship of those demons’ weapons?”
Jace couldn’t help but snicker a little as he hung the shortsword on his belt and hid it under his shirt and said, “Keep an eye on the house, I’m going to head over to the mage district.”
“Go on, master, go on ……”
It was getting late and Jess picked up his pace.
Drilling into the building and working his way up to the apartment door, he organized his words a little and put his hand on the door.
Thinking about getting rid of these things sooner and relaxing sooner.
“Ms. Aselwin?” He knocked on the door and asked, “Ms. Aselwin Golden Spur, are you home? I’m Jace Sesso. Ma’am?”
No one answered.
She probably went to the Twilight Forest and hasn’t come back yet.
Yeah, it’s only been three or four days, maybe we’re just now arriving at Nighttown, so it’s rather more strange to stay here, right?
I’ve been too plugged in for the past two days to give Winressa any careful consideration at all.
He stood in the doorway for a moment, his head aching at the thought of having to deal with another rush of fire from Grid tomorrow.
What are you doing now?
The potions Ursula had given earlier were all used up, and Jace was going to go back to the already-slaughtered lamb and ask her if she could give any more.
It was almost time to walk down the hall before he felt a little out of place.
This is only the past few days of time, so many medicines are finished, they have not gone to the north of the Red Ridge Mountain to look at, a little bit of results are not back then to ask for …… But if you go directly to the alchemy store to buy it, in addition to the bounty obtained by Hogg is probably not enough to buy the medicine it.
Truth be told, if it weren’t for the money they’d groped from the bandits and the money from selling those strange coins, the two hadn’t made anything at all on this trip.
But they had expected as much, and the two wouldn’t have moved in the first place if they hadn’t thought they could earn a little extra by going to Hogg.
In the gloomy hall with only a little faint light, Erland, Sulenna is sitting in the corner drinking.
“Jace Sesso, welcome back.” Erland looks over and waves, saying, “Ursula told us you were back, and at first I thought she was out of her mind with all those drugs.”
“I came looking for Ursula the other day and neither of you were there.” Jace said, thinking to himself that this guy really doesn’t hold grudges and forgets about them after the fight.
“Jace, I can’t believe I missed you a little when you were gone for so long, welcome back.” Sulenna said with a small smile.
“Thanks!”
Jace knew that the two were probably already drunk.
At that moment, a man came out of another passage.
It was Blackclaw Galdus, who wore a thick robe as if he was planning to go out, and raised an eyebrow when he saw Jace.
Before he could say anything, Sulenna shouted over, “Aren’t you going to let Jace try that strange spell, Galdus? I remember you and Gagin talking about it earlier.”
“Of course I’ll try, Jace, are you interested?” Galdus said as he took his outer robe off again and hung it to the side.
