“Come on, Greed, do something with your electric hammer!”

    “My Hammer ……”

Grid stretched his arms as hard as he could, but he couldn’t even reach the warhammer that fell a short distance away.

He tried calling out for lightning, and the hammer only flickered and shook with light even after it released its electrical energy, the hammer itself wrapped tightly in spiderwebs.

“Do you know any fire magic, Jace! Light spells, can light spells light fires ……”

    “I’ll try.”

Jace chanted the light spell again, he remembered that he set something on fire whenever his magic failed, but this time no matter how much he chanted the spell it just lit up, the light was so soft that it couldn’t even ignite these sturdy cobwebs!

Before, when I was nervous, I would misplace spells, and after practicing, when I was nervous, I wanted to misplace them on purpose but I simply couldn’t do it anymore.

The movement of dense spiders stomping on the ground was getting closer and Grid cursed as Jace whispered, “I’ve got a ‘flint’ here that works great a little bit, but first things first no blaming me for using it when we get out.”

“Then what the fuck are you talking about!”

    “Sarno! Come out!”

“Come on! I’m here! I’ve finally seen the light of day!” Hearing this voice, Grid, who was still anxious and on fire, froze.

    “Who’s talking?”

Seeing a dark golden gadget covered in scurrying black smoke jump out of Jace’s bag, and a ball of fire igniting all at once above his head, Grid cursed, “What the hell are you?!”

“Shut up! Shorty! I’ve been putting up with you for a long time! Scream again and I’ll burn your fat lips to a sausage.”

“How dare you call me names, what are you …… you wait for me to come down …… you wait for me to come down. Jace Sesso, fuck you ……”

“Cut the crap …… Saeuno, hurry up the fire and burn the net!”

“Don’t let him save me from dying here! AHHHH!!! I’ll kill the damn thing!”

“If you won’t let me save it, I’ll save it, ahaha!”

The kid snapped his fingers and a ball of flame burned the cobwebs that were wrapped around the two people cleanly at once, and the flame spread far and wide lighting up the entire passageway with light and darkness.

“Don’t thank me yet! Stinking shorty!”

“No problem, watch me thank you properly.”

Grid fell to the ground and immediately raised his electric hammer and slammed it in the direction of the Kid, lightning exploding out to extinguish all of the blazing fires around him at once, a giant serpentine mass of electricity sweeping across the room towards Saeuno’s position, only to see the Kid sneer and disappear in a flash of light, the electrical energy releasing a blast of white light and a shockwave that pushed Jess and Grid into the wall in tandem.

Jace rolled after hitting the wall before sliding to the ground, smoke and dust from the flames and lightning bursts drifting everywhere at once, and he coughed several times as he vibrated his chest in distress.

“Don’t fight! Go …… go …… go! There are still spiders!”

Saying that, the spider’s voice had gone completely inaudible.

It’s not hard to understand, if he was this this nest of spiders, if he heard that an electricity geek and a fire demon were fighting in anger at his doorstep, he wouldn’t dare to poke his head out.

“Spiders …… spiders, spiders are nothing.”

Grid muttered and stood up, fire still burning in his body, and the Kid jumped out again from not far behind him.

The demon jumped and screamed strangely as he jumped, “Come and hit me, shit-filled fool, you’ll see if I don’t play you to death.”

Grid turned his head violently, staring at the little kid from the ground to touch up the hammer in the hand directly thrown out, this hammer spun and flew over and flopped, when which hit the wall and fell down, the little kid has disappeared.

Grid’s beard exploded with anger as he ran and scurried over to lift the hammer, yelling back, “Where is that demon, where is that demon, where is he?!”

“Come on, come on, come on!”

The little ghost appeared from a short distance beside Jace, who grabbed it by the horns and shoved it straight into his bag.

“Ah …… listen I don’t want to go back! Ah …… that fat man is too much fun! Ah ah …… master I’m going to die of boredom!!!! ……唔唔唔唔……”

Jace zipped the warlock’s bag up with a jerk, and the bag flipped back and forth a few times before it stopped moving and deflated a little.

Grid stared at Jace for a few ragged breaths, like he was so anxious he was about to take a breath.

After holding his tongue he said, “I’m solid muscle! For fuck’s sake, can’t even tell the difference between fat and strong, retarded demon!”

“Let’s go out …… first,” Jess said, clutching her bag.

The two scurried out of the passageway and outside, a ball of fire still dancing on the cloak behind Grid’s buttocks, taking it off and stomping on it several times.

He picked up his cloak and shook off the grime, looking at Jace, then at the bag, then at Jace again.

“Aren’t you going to say anything?”

“What can I say …… about not being in a hurry?” Jess said helplessly.

Grid pointed at him and lowered his hand again, sighing and saying, “And you’re damn …… always getting me something new, that’s a demon, isn’t it? Though I shouldn’t expect anything less from you warlocks, but when did you get that guy out?”

“Before we go to Red Ridge.” Jace said.

“That early?” Grider said, “I’ve been completely in the dark for the last few months? It’s been with you all this time hidden in that bag? And I never knew?”

“Pretty much, that time …… at Red Ridge Mountain,” Jace said, “He saved me once from that orc, and kind of indirectly saved you once, right? And then up at the stone fortress without his help, I’d have been slashed to death by the jackals for sure.”

With a saddened look on his face, Grid squeezed the back of his neck and sighed, “I can’t believe I’ve been traveling with a demon for so long, my goodness.”

“Honestly, Jace, it bothers me more that you consistently hide it from me than it does that you work with a demon …… Those orc warlocks, too, have some with demons to fight us, and it’s not the first time I’ve seen one of those little things, so I’m more or less prepared for it.”

With that, he asked, “Wait, I must be clear, he does take orders from you, right? You do control it right.”

Jess said, “I don’t see anything wrong with it so far.”

“So all that cursing at me, you told him to do that too?”

    “How can ……”

“Anyway, you keep him out for now, okay?” Grid said as he stared daggers at the bag around Jace’s waist.

“I remembered …… Should we get some spider silk to go back?” Jace tried to change the subject and said, “If we still go back to Southsea Town, the spider silk can be sold for money, or else it would really be a wasted trip.”

“Uh, that makes sense.” Grid said, “Can’t get much though, it’s getting a little late and we don’t quite have enough bags to stuff.”

“More or less get a clean one without much dust or dead bugs back.” Jace said, “Can we make it to Quel’danny before dark?”

“It should work.” Grid nodded as he gathered the contents of the bag.

“But then again, I was saved by that demon, isn’t that the same as saying I’m also working in tandem with the demon? So there’s not much difference between the two of us, eh! In the past, I heard from the humans that although the Dwarves in the mountains were bad-tempered and didn’t socialize with humans, they were as cynical as they were vengeful, and were at loggerheads with the darkness, so I couldn’t have been prouder. Now, tsk, tsk, I’ve become an accomplice to the evil wizard in the forest.”

“Isn’t it a little late for you to realize that?” Jess asked.

“You demon head ……,” Greed said through gritted teeth as he gripped the dagger in his hand, “Hurry up and get the spider silk!”
