    Chapter Index

The snow was heavy, and a lone young man trudged through it, every step blocked by thick snow and storms, and every step as if he were about to fall at any moment before he landed firmly on his feet.

Jace thought the dream was outrageous, why would he run out into the snow when one himself was wearing a singlet.

Where is this place? Is this Northside?

He’s never been to Northside, so why would he have dreams related to Northview?

Not to mention, is it even a dream to look around and see nothing but white in your field of vision, and anything further away has been completely blocked out by the wind and snow?

After walking for I don’t know how long, Jace suddenly felt the shadow of a high gathering appearing extremely far in front of him; was it a tower, or was it a church?

The Tower of Northrend …… Is that the Temple of Dragon Sleep?

The Dragon Sleeping Temple is the place where the dragons live, and the snowy plain where this titanic tower is located is the place where the dragons go to bury their bones when they are old and about to die, and countless dragon bones are buried here, so it is also known as the Dragon Bone Wilderness.

Looking from this direction, the giant tower was so tall that it was a bit chilling, perhaps it was not as exaggerated as some twenty-first century super tall buildings, but standing alone on top of the snowy plains, not knowing how many miles away was enough to make people feel a sense of oppression.

Wherever this was, at least the shadow in front of me was the only “thing” in sight, and if I kept going there, I might wake up.

Although Jace felt the chilling wind, but with him wearing only a single coat, he couldn’t freeze unconscious, much less freeze to death, and just shivered and advanced for an unknown period of time without collapsing due to lack of stamina.

Over a snowy slope, a second shadow came into view, and this one was much closer, just a short distance ahead on the head of a cliff.

    It’s personal.

“Hello! Who are you and can you get me out of here?”

Jace yelled, then stood still, waiting for his opponent to give a response.

The man glanced back this way, he was a male human with dark hair, around forty years old with a bit of a moustache on his lips.

The man was dressed in a plain thick brown tunic, like a nobleman or a soldier, but more noteworthy were his looks ……

He’s also way too attractive looking, and handsome enough to make Jess a little less comfortable with the idea of

Kind of looks like a middle-aged Tom Cruise, with the temperament of George Clooney, but the frown seems a bit more supernatural than the duo, meaning it’s hard to convince anyone that it’s a face that’s actually there.

But it was normal to think that it was in a dream.

    “Who are you?” Jace asked.

“You come to my abode and yet you ask who I am?” The man asked, less than pleased.

Jace straightened up and said, “I guess I’ll be able to get out of here once I figure out who you are.”

“So guess who I am?” The man asked.

Jace looked at his form, his vision fading to the tower behind him, far, far away almost to the sky, and echoed the words he had just spoken – this was his abode.

    “You ……”

Jace’s eyes snapped open, and he was completely drenched in sweat.

Sitting up, it was already light, and Grider sat in his chair watching him.

“Did you have another nightmare about something?”

    “Uh ……”

“Can’t even tell me that? Then you have too many secrets.”

“Okay, a black dragon.” Jace said.

Grid rubbed his beard and said, “Coincidentally, I also dreamed of a black dragon last night, it was really scary …… Was it those black dragons that attacked Dalaran last night that scared the two of us? Speaking of which, it’s not the first time I’ve dreamed of a black dragon since Southsea Town, it’s too painful, sleep is supposed to be a thing of enjoyment, and I’m a little scared these days before falling asleep!”

Jace thought about Grid’s words, and before he had time to ponder them, an oncoming sharp pain became clearer from his shoulder ……

“Wait …… why does it hurt so much! It’s also getting more painful.” He fell back onto his side again, sweating from the pain.

“I saw that your face didn’t change yesterday, and I thought that the Lordaeron people were naturally hardened, but it turns out that you are just tired and stupid!” Grid hurriedly went to rummage through the cabinet again and said, “You bear with me, I’ll see what I can do to stop the pain …… You must have just gotten up with too much force, can’t you be a little more careful after you’ve been injured?”

“Is it my fault too?!” Jace held his head slammed against the bed for a few moments until Grid ran over and changed the medicine and bandaged him up again, and it took a while for it to ease a little.

“You are really supposed to go over to the medicine man’s side, Jace.” Grid said as he helped him fasten it.

    “Sure …… now.”

Jace scooted up a little like a bug and took a deep breath, a little dizzy from the pain at the moment.

His recollection of the man in the dream was a blur at this point.

If Jace’s guess was correct, that person was probably the Dragonfather himself, Deathwing, or at least his son, Nefarian.

After all, there weren’t many black dragons that dared to call the Dragonbone Wilderness their abode.

After being tortured by the Shadow, having a nightmare didn t surprise Jace, but dreaming of a giant dragon like this …… didn t occur to him.

Perhaps Deathwing’s release of the dreaded Shadow Force while trying to maneuver the situation last night affected him and ultimately produced the dream. And the fact that Grid dreamed of the black dragon as well would make it even more so.

But Jace had never seen Deathwing or his sons, much less their mortal forms.

Perhaps it was the memories in the blood of those black dragons that gave him a little impression about those ancient black dragons.

“Speaking of black dragons, they didn’t fight their way in yesterday.” Grid exhaled and sat on the bed, “The mages here resisted valiantly, even killing a young dragon. By midnight the black dragon fled, supposedly failing to break through the mages’ defenses a few times. Instead, the situation in the city was much more chaotic, but then after the black dragon retreated, the mages returned to the city and quickly took control of the situation, but it was bad enough.”

Grid took Jace’s pocket watch and glanced at it, then said, “I’ve already made a trip to the apothecary’s side in the morning, it’s packed, it wasn’t the mages that got hurt the most last night, instead it was the civilians in the city, and the death knights killed a lot of them.”

Jace thought about the walkers he’d encountered last night, the destroyed buildings, and the civilians who’d gone into hiding, and it wasn’t hard to imagine what Grider had said.

“Well, are you ready to go?” The dwarf asked.

Jace nodded, taking Winressa’s knife with him and wrapping his arms around his own shirt, which had been tossed and rotted by the blood demon last night.

The knife’s drawing style was so different from what he and Grid were wearing, going out in the open was bound to get him in trouble, and the last time he’d been caught in the Stormwind Prison was still a bit of a distraction for Jace.

Jace took another look at the staff and said, “This will stay with you for now, and you will not take it out until you leave Dalaran.”

“You finally know you’re scared, I’ve seen you hanging around with this thing on your back for the past two days and I thought you didn’t care.” Grid said as he gathered his things.

There really wasn’t much that could tell what it was before except for the orcs, and even the staff experts in Stormwind didn’t recognize it.

But now …… things are a little different.

Worried that the jewel of blood magic on top of this staff would cause extra trouble, Jace simply didn’t want to bring it to the main city.
