Chapter 175 – Blood and Wind
by Jessie@AFNCCIt was a true curse of pain, far more horrific than Sulenna’s by I don’t know how many times, and Jace stood up and propped himself against the wall to keep himself as conscious as possible.
He had to hold out against this round after round of Shadow torture by his will and Shadow resistance, and once he fainted and his will broke down, the Shadows would quickly become far more deadly than they were now.
He couldn’t hear anything else, all he could smell in his nose was a rusty odor with a fishy stench, and he scrambled over to a small yard, plopped down into a puddle by the side of the road and began to gulp down rainwater to wash away the smell.
It wasn’t until the pain finally stopped continuing to get worse that he sat down between the roots of the wall and took deep breath after deep breath, feeling the fact that he hadn’t broken.
The Blood Demon had underestimated Jace’s willpower, thinking that an agony curse would result in him; if it were that simple, wouldn’t Jace have made this journey in vain?
At that moment, he saw an eye peeking at him from the crack in the wall smashed open by the Blood Demon, which appeared to be a child.
“Go back and stay out.” Jace said.
Yet after the eyes disappeared, a small hand reached out from the crack in the wall, holding …… surprisingly an apple.
Jace was actually starving, he said thanks taking the apple and nibbling half of it in one bite, the feeling of being alive was a lot stronger with a bit of a sweet, silky taste in his mouth.
He dropped the kernels and folded back over as a series of clanking metal sounds came from behind the collapsed wall.
“Now it’s your turn, Quel’dorei.”
The Blood Demon said, swinging his warhammer at Kefal, which scraped against the wall but swung wide, Kefal leapt away to avoid the blow, and in the process stomped up the wall in three or two steps to climb towards the roof of the house.
The blood demon reached out towards the elf high above, surprisingly summoning a red claw of shadow to grab at the roof of the building!
The elf back-stomped the wall and leapt across the top of the alleyway, grabbing the eaves on the other side as the bloody claws swooped down and ripped across a large swath of brickwork several meters away.
Is this a proper Blood Devil’s Grip? The game a pulling skill is as scary as a cannonball here ……
Seeing the elf flee to the roof, Talon looked up, the muscle lines between his armor seeming to shimmer with shadow energy.
In one leap he grabbed the edge of the center brickwork, then threw himself up onto the roof with a single thrust from his arms, his cape shaking like a giant dark yellow bat.
Jace couldn’t just leave Kefal here, he threw his staff up onto the roof, took two steps back to see the wall, boosted a bit of a continuous stomp up to climb up a window with both hands, went up and then proceeded to jump up from the ledge again to grab onto the crack that had been clawed out by Shadow Claws and climb up, which was a lot more lopsided by comparison.
Several buildings away in front of them, the two of you to catch up, although the elf ran very fast, but the blood demon is much larger, the pace frequency is not much slower, plus his body released the shadow energy to help him run more vigorously, the eyes of the surprising to catch up!
The two guys were fast as hell, and Jace, who had only been practicing long-distance running for two years in Stormwind, was incredibly tired of chasing after them, especially since he had to dedicate a burst of boosting to make a jump every time he came across a gap between buildings.
Kefal leapt across the building once more, the blood demon unleashed his Blood Demon’s Grip as he ran, and while it didn’t succeed in hitting, the blood-red darkness unleashed by the blood claws swept Kefal in mid-air causing him to lose his balance.
The elf didn’t manage to land on the roof of the other building, just barely catching the edge.
He hadn’t taken two steps climbing to the top of the building before the blood demon had leapt behind him!
Talon raised his warhammer high in mid-air and slammed it down in a smooth motion as he landed, the blow was dodged by the agile elf and smashed into the roof, a jolt that Jace could feel from a few buildings away.
Kefal dodged and turned back to pull out one of the daggers in his back and threw it back out, sticking it precisely into the Blood Demon’s knee!
The Blood Demon casually pulled the dagger out and tossed it aside to continue his attack forward, as if the leg wasn’t his own.
The Blood Demon had experienced the Battle of Quel’Saras, so he knew that the elves had the ability to interrupt spell casting with a torrent of arcane spells, so he didn’t use any magic at all, he just attacked frantically, Kefal appeared more and more overwhelmed but the Blood Demon got more and more courageous as the battle went on.
Jace crossed the last gap between the buildings, his mouth already chanting a spell. The elf barely dodged a few of his opponent’s attacks, but the blood demon suddenly shook Kefal’s continuous dodging out of rhythm with a burst of Shadow Shockwave unleashed from the soles of his feet, a cloud of energy that exploded out in what looked like Shadow Fury!
Releasing the energy at the same time, the blood demon looked at the elf at the same time threw out the heavy hammer in his hand, this time Kefal could not avoid it and was scraped in the waist by the sharp pronged hammer ……
Kefal dropped to the ground with a growl and tried to run out and fall again, Jace frowned but being in the middle of casting a spell he couldn’t afford to let the sudden surprise divert his attention.
The Blood Demon picked up his warhammer and took a step towards Kefal, but suddenly felt his body being drawn in by the magic behind him and looked back in surprise.
“I can’t believe you’re still alive?”
The blood demon recited an incantation and made a grabbing and stirring up motion in his hand, and Jace was caught by surprise when the staff in his hand was yanked violently.
The staff struggled to get out of Jace’s grip, and Jace didn’t have the strength to grab it at all, instead almost getting dragged off the roof!
The Blood Demon reached up and caught his staff in the air, holding it up and aiming the pointy end at this.
Bad.
Jace immediately turned, and the blood demon threw his staff with such force that its throw was comparable to a throwing spear!
Jace dodged as hard as he could but couldn’t quite avoid it, and was run straight through the left shoulder by the staff! He was nailed to the wall of the roof hut behind him, and the pain came in waves, so intense that he wanted to scream, but couldn’t.
Talon smiled and said, “Shout it out, the cries are better for me to savor tonight’s victory.”
The Death Knight leapt to this side with ease, dragging his warhammer, which clanked against the ground, one step closer.
Suddenly, a lavender arc plucked through the rain and slashed through the Blood Demon’s neck from a distance!
Talon grabbed the arrow from his neck and pulled it out and threw it on the ground, muttering, “Another Quel’dorei bitch, come on all, come on all.”
He smiled grimly and looked to the other side as a green sweeping shadow leapt from the distance, followed by another arc that trailed a series of starbursts that cut through the night sky like a bullet heading straight for Talon.
Talon didn’t take the blow hard this time, he stepped to the side and the arc stabbed straight into the wall not far from Jace, stirring up a cloud of arcane dust.
A continuous stream of arrows glittering with white light stabbed over, but they were blocked by Talon with a black shadow cloak, and those arrows that hit the cloak disappeared as if they had disappeared into the ink, leaving only some broken dust scattered.
Seeing that the shooting had become ineffective, the marauding figure quickly rushed in front of Talon, and two cold rays of light slashed diagonally at the top of his head in quick succession.
Talon barely managed to frame one of the blows with his warhammer but was cut on the arm by the other, enraged Talon unleashed yet another ball of Shadow Fury all over his body, the blow staggered the shadow two steps this time Jace could see clearly that it was Winressa Windwalker!
