Chapter 171 – The Three Sacred Objects (I)
by Jessie@AFNCC“Talon Blood Demon?”
“Could it be a communication between the Blood Devils and other tribal clans.”
“Is it related to the attack on the city of Outram?”
“Are you really sure about this, and how do you know the name Talon Bloodmage is in here? How do you pronounce it in Orcish?”
“Master Duchamp, did you translate for this young student?”
“I’m as ignorant of the contents of this order as you are, Ms. Mavis.” Duchamp responded helplessly.
As soon as Jace’s words came out, the entire conference hall was flooded with the sound of a piece of discussion, and even Aethas Sunstealer, who had been silent since the beginning of his entry into this hall, unconsciously conversed with the Stormgarde scholar next to him.
For Talon Bloodmage and his men were the only Horde army that was certain to remain in Azeroth at the moment, other than the Blackstone Orcs occupying the Blackstone Tower.
The rest of both Clan Frostwolf and Clan Battlecry, the Dragon-Throat Legion are still rumors.
Of course the Sorcerer’s Temple had confirmed that the Dragon-Throat Clan was making trouble in the area of the Wetlands, it just didn’t seem to have gained the general consensus of the Lordaeron Alliance as of yet, and because of that Andromas intended to involve Morgans, who had knowledge of Orcs and Shadow Magic, in the further exploration of the Wetlands. In short, the threat posed by the Blood Demon’s order was far more immediate than other outdated information.
In the midst of the murmurings, Jace stepped up to the lectern, bowed lightly to Kelsugard, and said, “Master, I translated the above as best I could before coming here. It is an order for the men to return to the Dark Gate and serve the new chieftain of the Horde, and the tone of it is of such high rank that I believe it was issued by a high-ranking chieftain whose position is below that of Gul’dan and Ogrim.”
“Which means it’s just your guess.” Kelsugard said, his brow relaxing slightly.
“That’s right.” Jess replied, “That’s why I said I was just skeptical.”
This made the discussion in the chamber even noisier, and Jace even noticed a High Elf give a contemptuous chuckle.
Jace felt that he was still rather averse to being belittled, but in the face of that High Elf’s contemptuous attitude, his heart surprisingly did not appear to fluctuate.
He wasn’t suppressing his feelings of anger, but he really wasn’t moved by it.
Because he was touching little by little the front end of the Deathwing program being pushed forward, and the attitudes of these people, whether they were praising or belittling, didn’t have a shred of significance to speak of when compared to the destructive force that would be enough to bring about the true end of the world.
Jace placed his materials on the table, and Klsugard took the missive, which he had transcribed himself, and gave it to his student, Blomjam, who had been in charge of reciting the materials from the side. Blomjam was young, probably about twenty-five or twenty-six years old, but the ring he wore was already the mage emblem of Dalaran.
In other words, he was already a full-fledged mage, and with his age and talent, entering Kenrito was probably just a matter of these few years, so it was no wonder that Klsugard trusted him so much.
He took Jace’s order to transcribe and immediately began a test reading, with voice inflections that were extremely similar to those of a real orc, even the distinctive beastly throat trill of an orc was mimicked to perfection.
Jace had been revising his speech earlier and hadn’t even listened properly to the level of the guy.
After Blomjam read it, the transcript of the letter was handed out to be circulated, and already a number of people were able to figure out the general full picture of the letter.
Jace can already hear the discussion about the “three holy relics” and “Gul’dan’s death”, and Blomjam, who has a very high level of orc language, also looks grave.
There may have been some vocabulary words in there that he didn’t recognize, especially in relation to people’s names, but it was clear that he understood pretty much the same thing.
“This is a letter from a very recent time …… teacher.” He looked to Kelsugard and said, “Do you remember the Death Knight captive who confessed to Gul’dan’s death, but it was only a few months ago, which means that this letter was most likely written within three months.”
Klsugard nodded with his own student, stepped forward and said, “This short text is not difficult to understand, gentlemen.” It certainly wasn’t a difficult thing to translate, Jace himself could have translated 80% of the letter by flipping through the books in the library when he first got it, except for a wrong tense, and with so many masters of the Orcish language here, a little consultation would have gotten the full meaning out of it.
“Can you tell us a little bit about where this letter came from, Mr. Jace Sesso?” Kersugard asked.
“I found it near Karazhan.” Jace said, “Of course, that’s what I realized later.”
Upon hearing the name Karazhan, both Blomjam and the other scholars pricked up their ears, and Kelsugard stroked his bare chin curiously.
“There are a lot of rare herbs in South Elwyn, especially after that explosion, and I had planned to go to Glen Town for a rest before looking for the ingredients to make a mana potion, but on the way to Glen Town, I got inexplicably sleepy, and after a short rest before getting back on the road, I realized that I couldn’t find my way to Glen Town anymore. “
“While there are many rare herbs in the South Irvine region, there aren’t many suitable for making mana potions.” A Gilneas scholar said.
“I had only just entered the Sorcerer’s Sanctum at the time.” Jace replied, “Not knowing anything about what he was going to do, he just blindly searched for ways to be able to raise his mana level.”
“I walked into a withered forest, filled with unnameable and strange trees, and there seemed to lurk between the forests unknown aliens with unknown malice, I panicked and thought only of returning to where I had come from, so I tried to head north, only to find a dead orc by a dead creek, who I guessed had encountered much the same situation as I had. “
“That’s terrible.” A scholar said.
Jace gave him a look and continued, “The orc’s body was swollen and foul-smelling, and there was a constant chugging of strange noises coming from the one body, but I had to go through his luggage because I was so hungry I was about to pass out. Eventually I found some food that was about to go moldy, and …… this letter.”
“After getting this letter, I felt that there had been something watching in the shadows, until I saw what looked like a strange tower that kept swaying in the distance on the other side of the river, and I felt that it must have been Karazhan, which was like a watcher keeping a close eye on me, and made me more and more fearful. So I immediately fled in the opposite direction, and I don’t know how long I ran before I finally made it back to the forest that more or less still had a bit of life left in it, but in the end I couldn’t find my way to Gran Town and had to return to Shining Gold.”
“Karazhan seems to be southeast of Elwyn.” A dwarf says, “If you kept going north after getting lost, why would you be near that tower?”
Jess hesitated for a moment and said, “I’m sorry, sir, I can’t say …… I’ve followed the sunlight as far as I can to discern the direction.”
“It would be strange if he spoke clearly.” One of the elves said, “I’ve never seen anyone near Karazhan after the explosion there who could remain conscious, let alone an apprentice.”
Jace gave the elf a look, the croupier was quite the professional.
No one was questioning his story anymore at this moment, Kelsugard pondered for a moment and said, “The mysterious phenomenon there in Karazhan is currently unregulated, it seems that even orc criers with evil blood running through their veins would be hard to escape from it, Mr. Jace Sesso, you’re really lucky.”
Jace had never been near the Leeward Trail, and it seemed that Henny was right, she was the only one in the world who could tell when her own son was lying, even if it was Kelsugard.
At this point, a scholar of Lordaeron said, “The importance of this letter cannot be overstated, and based on the tone of the letter writer, if it was written by a living person, then indeed there aren’t many many other candidates besides Talon Bloodmage.”
Behind him, Blomjam asked, “What are these three holy relics referred to? If the one who gave the order was Talon Bloodmage, is the legendary holy relic that was stolen from Otterlander one of them?”
“It wasn’t the holy relic of Ortlank, but the Book of Medivine that was stolen from Stormwind by the vile Pirinod. Now it seems that it’s not likely that from the very beginning he was trying to give that treasure to the Horde!” A scholar from Kul Tiras angrily denounced.
These scholars instantly connected the three holy relics to the Book of Medivine, which took Jace by surprise.
Maybe he didn’t even have to do any prompting for Kenrito to associate it with the Eye of Dalaran, especially with someone as smart as Klsugard.
