    Life Draw ……

When he got home at night, Jace wanted to get a good night’s sleep first and then think long and hard about it the next day, but with the paper in mind and the spell’s effects, he couldn’t sleep anyhow.

He wanted to see if he could distill this highly ineffective life-sucking spell into a true spell or not; after all, his very first dream had been to organize these half-assed warlocks’ jumbled spells into the original original text, utilizing his knowledge of demonic and orcish and other spells.

He sat up with a jerk and said, “Saeuno, come out, we’re going to work.”

“Why are you working again?!” Sëanor got out of the bag unhappily and said, “There’s no more paper! Saeuno is too tired!”

“Do something else.” Jace rolled off the bed and pulled the sheets of paper Gagin had given him from underneath it, looking closely at the lines of incantation.

    “Erramang, Cilento.”

“What are you talking about?” The imp asked curiously.

    “You don’t understand?”

“Why should I understand it!” The Kid grabbed Jace’s piece of paper and looked at it, saying, “Ah, how can you possibly pronounce demonic language accurately when it’s written in the common language alphabet and pronounced in all different ways?” Jace asked again, “So, what does this demonic language mean?”

“Is this a spell, I can’t tell.” The Kid looked back and forth and said, “It’s like …… convert, transfer, energize or something, but it’s not quite right as a spell grammar, this is written like the ancient language of Nasrezim!”

“Don’t tell me you don’t understand that Nasrezim stuff ah.” Hearing this, Jace had gotten a little desperate, he rubbed his brow, this brat turned out to be unreliable as well.

“Who says I don’t know it!” The Kid looked over and said, “While I don’t know a lot of Nasrezim vocabulary, if you go by the way they read it, there should be an alliteration here, a hyphen between vigor and conversion to make it right! So, that would be …… Erramang, Siliondor! Also, you need to enunciate like the great wings of Nasrezim, vibrate with your voice, keep your tone low, and drive your Shadow energy as hard as you can, after all, those guys are flesh and blood congealed with Shadow themselves, they’re not your average demons!”

“You’re such an expert.” Jess couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Only a mortal with a miserable fate would lament at such knowledge, my lord!” The little ghost bounced around and said, “If you live long enough, you know a lot!”

“I won’t be able to sleep tonight without trying this.” Jace looked out the window, gauging the time it would take to get out of town, but patrols at night in Stormwind were strict, especially in the latter part of the night, and if the guards caught him and found his bag, stick, or whatever, and double-checked, it would be two for two.

“Or we could just practice on you.” He looked to the Kid.

“Don’t ah …… master!” The little ghost plopped down on the ground, “I don’t want to suffer! What if I die?!”

“My mana isn’t even that strong, Saeano.” Jace said, “If I could whip you to death in one go, would I have to fight that naga so badly, think about it?”

“Never mind, master, you do it, just have a little mercy on me!”

Jace smiled and picked up the piece of paper with the gold added to it and was just about to start following the spell casting gestures written on it when a thought occurred to him.

This spell extracts life energy. Do demons have life energy?

    The thought instantly calmed him.

“This spell transfers life energy.” Jace asked, “What would happen if a demon like you had no life energy in your body and I forced an extraction on you?”

“Nasrezim, right?” The Kid muttered, “I’ve heard of the life-sucking of these demons, master, and it’s not so much the power of life in the narrow sense that they extract, but rather the ‘vitality’…… that means that all creatures, even Shadow creatures, even undead creatures, as long as they are energy-driven creatures, they possess their own energy drive, and it is these forces that Nasrezim extracts.”

“They can transform the life they draw into deathly shadows, contaminate the arcane energy they draw into evil energy, and then digest it for their own use; it is presumed that only the holy light cannot be successfully extracted; after all, the energy from which they draw vitality is still essentially the power of the shadows.”

“If this spell is really Nasrezim’s Vitality Extraction, I suggest that the master should choose his target carefully, I definitely have nothing to extract la, even if I were to be smoked to death I wouldn’t have much vitality ah, after all, I’m such a small wretch!”

“Forget it.” Jess said, “I’m too sleepy today, let’s talk about it some other time.”

The Kid breathed a good sigh of relief and returned to his bag to be hidden in a burst of arcane light.

Laying back on his bed, Jace was still a little glad he hadn’t just started smoking without caring about anything.

What if I draw some evil energy into my body?

How would he explain if these evil energies caused damage to his body and he had to go to someone to save him? Might as well find a chance to go out of town and take a mammal to practice on first, like Gagin had been doing before.

There is just so much to do! It gives me a headache just thinking about it.

There were mage robes to go to, orcish exams to prepare for, a warlock’s coven to attend, and no slacking off on sword practice in a few days when Grid recovered.

But if you want to get stronger, you have to try to grab every opportunity to improve, you can’t waste time ah.

Thinking of his last life, he went to work every day to touch the fish at home to swing, but he did not expect to come to this world to be spiritually up.

After all, in Azeroth you’re literally going to die if you don’t find a way to get stronger.

He’d gotten quite a few goodies in the meantime, and those most beautiful and precious naga chest and belly scales, if each could be sold for 5 silver or more, would be dozens of silver coins of income. The string of beads, if the merchant was accurate, could be sold for 40 silver coins, despite some reluctance, Jace thought to himself that maybe this string of beads also carried some kind of strange magical energy of Naga seduction or something like that, so it was time to sell it.

It’s a curse sooner or later to keep such unholy things around, but silver coins are clean.

Plus that orc order …… is going to have to find an antique dealer to sell it to, and if it sells for a few gold coins …… it really is almost enough to buy a toilet.

It had been just over a month since he had made up his mind to make money to buy his parents a house in Storm City.

While he couldn’t expect to find one every month that was as valuable as that letter of command, that was the benefit of boosting his power.

If you don’t have enough strength, you can’t catch luck when it comes.

Now he mentions that anything to make money is tens of silver coins tens of silver coins forget about it, and at the very beginning even two silver coins are going to put his life on the line.

In the future, if one went to the next level, such as becoming a trainee mage, or going farther in the way of the warlock, and practicing one’s body to be stronger and able to deal with more dangerous situations, one would definitely be able to earn more money.

There’s still a decade or so to go before the disaster of the Celestial Legion, so long as patience, as long as ……

Thinking about it, he did feel like he had been teetering on the line of death several times this month, yet it was impossible to improve without taking risks. Today at Gagin’s, when Erland had pushed him against the wall with all his might in order to interrupt his spell, and he had fought back, he didn’t feel like dealing with Erland had been as much of a struggle as it had been the first time he’d gone to the basement of the already-slaughtered lamb.
