Life of a Magic Academy Mage – 506
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 506
As Lee Han watched in despair as the dwarf wizard walked away at a brisk pace something suddenly occurred to him.
‘for a moment…!’
Now was not the time to feel dejected about having been pickpocketed.
“professor. “You need to move now!”
“?”
Lee Han quickly began to move pushing Professor Boladi’s back.
Thanks to being trained in the harsh environment of Einroguard the actions of other transformation wizards were expected.
‘We have to get out of this place!’
“What’s going on?”
“I have a question about magic combat! “It’s not a question worth asking here but I’ll ask it somewhere where outsiders can’t come!”
Professor Boladi seemed quite tempted by the words “magic battle” so he took a step forward obediently.
Lee Han who was going down the stairs next to the hallway to avoid being chased by outsiders could hear the sound of talking behind him.
-uh? I think it went this way…
-for a moment. Why did you come here? You said it like it wasn’t happening before!
-Haha let’s come together and not criticize each other. The Dead Sea is in Dongdo!
-Ah… I understand! Then let’s talk together!
‘I’m so glad I learned the magic of foresight.’
Thanks to my training in foresight magic I was able to escape without being caught by the crazy wizards. Lee Han expressed his gratitude to Professor Kraer.
Of course this had nothing to do with foresight magic.
* * *
Gai Nando who had brought his backpack with him to attend a lecture on black magic was puzzled when he saw Lee Han’s face.
“hey. That’s right. “I think Lee Han is a little strange.”
“Wardanaz was originally strange. And don’t pretend to be friendly. “Don’t stab me with a cane.”
Rapadel got irritated when Guynando stabbed him with his cane and hit him away.
Usually when other Blue Dragon Tower students say ‘Hey don’t talk to me’ they say ‘What? How dare you be so arrogant?’ There was no need to talk to each other but even when this prince said ‘Hey don’t talk to me’ he just ignored it and said what he wanted to say.

“You look tired right?”
“Of course you’ll be tired. “Won’t you be tired from learning magic like that?”
“no. “Originally that was okay.”
“…”
‘Is this guy your friend?’
Rapadel looked at Guynando with a very subtle look.
If your friend tries to learn magic that much you should think about his health and stop him saying ‘I was fine at that level originally.’
I couldn’t tell if those were words coming from my mouth or noises coming from my snout.
“Are you okay?”
“huh? ah. Transformation wizards came from outside to greet us.”
“I see.”
Ymir who was nodding her head felt something off about her.
‘Huh?’
She had never heard of transformation wizards coming from outside and wondered why Warda Naz welcomed them.
Moreover today was not even the day of the transformation magic lecture!
“The transformation wizards came to visit? Why do you accept that?”
I asked whether Rafadel also thought that way.
Guy Nando said looking at her friend as if she were pitiful.
“Don’t you know that? The last time the summoning wizards came and the warlocks came Lee Han greeted them. Transformation wizards are probably like that too.”
“…no… sleep… hey! hey!!”
When Guy Nando went into the classroom saying nothing but his nonsense Rafael almost grabbed the back of his head.
It was so ridiculous that he walked away while he was wondering where to begin his rebuttal.
That prince’s son had a special talent for making people angry.
“hello. professor.”
“Kollock. okay. It was a lot of hard work. “I heard you came from outside to resolve a request?”
Professor Mortum who must have heard the request coughed and motioned for Lee Han to sit down.
“yes. “There were other professors there too so it wasn’t that difficult.”
Lee Han spoke pretentiously without even putting saliva on his lips. It was an answer almost instinctive.
Since he couldn’t tell how the conversation between professors would turn out in his absence it was best to be cautious.
“It wasn’t a hardship? Collock. You’re lucky. “It will be difficult in the future.”
“…”
“…”
Although his friends were fed up Lee Han sympathized with Professor Mortum’s words.
‘At that level it falls under warm and friendly concern.’
Considering the difficulty of the last request there was a possibility that in the second year the student would be sent out alone to hunt a dragon and then be asked to leave the change.
“Cough call… I guess requests coming in from outside are a bit troublesome as they have to meet the standards of the employer who gives the silver coins. And you guys… um. “Black magic accident.”

“…”
My friends’ faces darkened.
If there were seniors they would have said ‘Professor I will know anyway when I become a second year so please keep your mouth shut.’ But Professor Mortum just told me honestly.
Apparently the difficulty of the requests that warlocks received was higher than that of the requests that wizards of other schools received.
The reality is that when wizards from the Enchantment School of Magic receive requests such as ‘I would appreciate it if you could fix the broken artifact’ wizards from the Black Magic School receive requests such as ‘A plague zone has broken out in the south so please call the warlocks.’
“Well if I make good golems or summons wouldn’t there be a demand?”
Guyando who was taking out the bone he had picked up from his backpack asked in disbelief.
This is definitely what Lee Han said last time.
-Lee Han. Why do I need to study magic like strengthening bone armor? I don’t think people will ask for things like bone armor reinforcements.
-Oh my. Cainan Island. You don’t seem to know but bone armor strengthening magic is popular among adventurers these days. Everyone was begging me to walk.
-what?! really!? Then maybe you can strengthen the bone spear?
-yes. There are so few warlocks that there is even a shortage.
-Then what about skeleton-type summons or golems?! Is that popular too?
-That’s the most popular one. Last time I asked I heard that there are few things nobles can boast about like bone golems.
-I’ve never heard of that before?
-That’s why I’m acting like I’m not interested because I’m embarrassed that I couldn’t save the bone golem.
-aha!
“Kollock. “Golems and summons like that are only used by warlocks. Why would ordinary people who don’t know magic be interested in such hideous summons?”
“…???”
Gainando looked at Lee Han with an expression of the world falling apart but Lee Han pretended not to hear and ignored him.
“Don’t think about selling strange things but develop your skills so that you can respond to any request. Collock. Everyone take out your bones.”
The students took out the bones.
When I summoned an undead summoned beast I was practicing magic to further strengthen the summoned beast.
“Kollock. Wardanaz go over there and practice the dark element.”
Lee Han now moved without being surprised or embarrassed.
‘Well I’ve already strengthened the undead several times.’
There was no need to practice it again now as I had done it successfully several times.
“professor. “Aren’t your seniors here today?”
Professor Mortum answered Gainando’s question by soothing his throat with hot tea.
“They should also study on their own… You should be able to do this on your own.”
‘indeed.’
Lee Han understood.
And in the long run this was good for Lee Han.
Considering the lack of personnel in the Black Magic School Lee Han may have to take care of first-year students even after becoming a second-year student.
‘You have to know how to do magic yourself. That’s true.’
Moreover since she had encountered Senior Dirette last time while trying to collect information anonymously through a notebook it seemed like it would be a good idea for her to keep her distance for a while.
Isn’t there something called shame in humans?
‘Unless you’re a skeleton principal you’ll be a little embarrassed.’
“…”
“…”
Following Professor Mortum’s instructions Lee Han opened the side door and entered stopping in his tracks when he saw Direth wearing a mask.
Huh?
“professor? “You said there were no seniors right?”
“Kollock. That’s about bone magic… Do you want me to practice dark element magic by myself?”
Professor Mortum scolded Lee Han in an irritated voice.
Who would have thought that someone as big as Wardanaz not even Gaynando would ask such a stupid question.
If you practice dark element magic of course you had to have a warlock by your side.
“I see.”
“Just practice quickly. “You will also check the dark element during the final exam.”
Gainando asked in surprise.
“Us too?!”
“Kollock. no. “Wodanazman in addition.”
“phew. thank god.”
“…”
“…”
Ymirg and Rafael looked at Guynando like he was trash.
Lee Han turned his gaze to Direth who was wearing a mask.
“That senior.”
“Isn’t it?”
“yes?”
“I’m not a senior. “I’m seeing this for the first time.”
Lee Han turned his attention to the magician a raven beast he had never seen wearing a mask.
“Yes… This is my first time meeting you Warlock. “Please give me guidance on dark element magic…”
“…please take care of me…”
The dark element lecture began in an awkward atmosphere.
* * *
The skill of the crow beast wizard I had never seen before was very outstanding.
“The dark element is one of the most unique and heterogeneous elements among various elements.”
“you’re right.”
“Therefore you need to be more careful when handling it and it is advantageous to combine it with magic from other schools rather than using it on its own. This is especially true in the case of transformation magic or enchantment magic but just temporarily inhabiting the dark element…”
Delet started with the basics of dark element magic.
Even if Lee Han was being taught directly by another professor or a skeleton principal it was not Delet’s style to neglect this aspect.
“By the way senior.”
“huh. …for a moment. “Because I’m not a senior.”
“Yes… This is my first time meeting you Warlock.”
Lee Han asked pointing to the back.
“What is that?”
There were large straw dolls standing behind the wizard who was the first raven beast to be seen.
I couldn’t help but pay attention as straw dolls that looked similar to each other were standing gloomily.
“ah. “That’s a straw doll for practice.”
“Are you releasing the dark element into that doll?”
This was not surprising as he had trained in basic elements in a similar manner to Professor Boladi.
Of course Professor Boladi made it with a living person instead of a straw doll but it doesn’t make much of a difference.
“It’s not release… it’s closer to granting… making a curse doll.”
“Cursed doll… you mean?”
Perhaps sensing something unusual in Lee Han’s voice the raven beast wizard he had never seen spoke suddenly became faster and longer.
“I’m not trying to use this in strange places but it’s a method often used when learning how to use the dark element.”
Due to its nature dark elements were mainly used in indirect ways such as enchantment or transformation rather than direct methods such as shape transformation or emission.
One of the most commonly used applied magic was the Dark Curse Doll.
Just by tightly imbuing the straw doll with the element of darkness the doll becomes a cursed item that sucks the life out of people who own it.
Warlocks who were good at using this magic were able to create cursed items from all kinds of objects.
“Okay? It is by no means strange or a type of magic that violates imperial law. Junior. “Are you listening?”
“You just said you were a junior…”
“You heard wrong. ruler. “Concentrate.”
