Solo Leveling: Ragnarok – 267

Episode 267
keel (龍骨 keel).
This term has nothing to do with ‘dragon’ and refers to a member at the bottom of a ship that supports it from the bow to the stern.
It is the central axis of the ship and serves as the spine and beam and the size of the keel determines the size of the ship.
Even if other parts of the ship are damaged they can be repaired and used somehow but if the keel is broken it cannot be repaired or replaced so the life of the ship can be considered to be virtually over.
This was because ships were assembled one by one around the keel so replacing the keel required complete disassembly of the ship.
[…In that sense the material the keel is made of is directly related to the ship’s defense power.]
The point of the shadow dwarves talking about the importance of the keel was simple.
“So you’re saying you want to use this Elvenwood as a keel?”
[yes!]
The eyes of the dwarves who answered Suho’s words in unison were already filled with madness.
If there was only one Elvenwood we would share it with each other but if Suho could get more Elvenwood things would be completely different.
[There is no reason to cut this precious wood into pieces!]
[I’ll say it again the size of the keel is the size of the ship!]
[The sturdiness of the keel is the sturdiness of the ship!]
[Rather than sharing this precious material if you use one whole as the keel you will end up with a truly enormous ship!]
Wow!
Isn’t it dizzying just to imagine it!
A ship whose keel was made from the sacred tree of the elves!
The keel even has a special ability to spread out branches to eat surrounding weeds and grow itself?
There was no material better than this.
After hearing their earnest(?) request Suho accepted without hesitation.
“okay. “Then let’s use this guy as the keel of Esil’s ship.”
[Khaha!]
[Ugh…!]
There were mixed feelings of joy and sorrow between the dwarves who were chosen by Suho’s decision and the dwarves who were not chosen.

Of course I knew in my head that it was natural that the ship for the king of demons would be given priority but it was natural that my stomach hurt at the fact that this desirable material was taken away right before my eyes.
[Then could you please give our raft the next turn?!]
[This is nonsense! Among all the rafts ours is the biggest! In order to handle a keel of this size the more other materials you have the faster it can be manufactured!]
“That is correct. “Then let’s go to the largest raft next.”
[…!]
As Suho made another decision the shadow dwarves became impatient.
[There is no time for this!]
[You lazy devils! Hurry up! We must gather the most materials before the next Elvenwood arrives!]
When Su-ho set the standard suddenly there was competition among the rafts.
[The movement speed varies greatly depending on the completeness of the ship!]
Finding the World Tree in this dark vast ocean was as difficult as finding a needle in the desert.
No matter how enormous the size of the needle(?) of the world tree is the sea of the afterlife is a much more distant and barren world that cannot be compared to anything like a desert.
In the end if you wanted to find the World Tree quickly you had to collect more weeds than anyone else even if it meant risking your life.
[Demons! Risk your life! Wouldn’t it be better for you if our ship finds the World Tree as quickly as possible?]
[This means that you will be the first to eat the most leaves and become stronger before other demons arrive!]
…!
The dwarves’ persuasive provocation ignited a competitive spirit in the demons who had been rowing passively.
It was natural that the more leaves of the World Tree he ate than others the stronger he could grow into a devil.
But up until now we had all been wandering around aimlessly picking up weeds floating on the sea.
From now on whoever receives the keel and completes the ship first will be able to become stronger than other demons at an overwhelming speed.
“Let’s go!”
[okay! That’s it!]
[Hurry up devils!]
Shoot!
…Well anyway it was a very positive motivation for Suho and Esil.
“More than that Esil. “Can you take a look at this?”
“…?”
Suho who was watching the rafts scattering according to their individual desires approached Esil and handed him something.
The reason why Suho visited the sea of the afterlife like this was not just because of Elvenwood.
“Master this is….”
Esil’s eyes became quite serious.
The item Suho handed over was none other than the ‘foreign stone’ that was stuck in Forres’ eye.
The moment Suho directly touched this foreign god stone after clearing out the high elves and spirits he felt a strange sense of strangeness.
“For some reason the energy was strangely different from the stardust and star fragments I had discovered so far.”
Stardust.
A magical power booster developed by the Devil Factory using the demons’ light blood poison.
And a jewel star fragment made from highly refined stardust.

Although they are now called foreign stones there was a time when they were simply thought of as magical power amplifiers.
But now I know.
The amplification of magical power is only a visible result.
If you look inside the principles are completely different.
[This is ‘reception’ not amplification.]
[And furthermore it makes ‘communication’ possible. That was the true purpose of the foreign press.]
Grid was once the high priest of the Foreign God Religion.
Iron who was a priest.
They had now become shadow soldiers and were on Suho’s side.
Thanks to this Suho had been fully shared with them all the information they knew about foreign religions.
[Foreign speakers are a kind of medium.]
[It is a medium for injecting the magic power of the outer universe into the human body. The magic power was not amplified but magic power was simply injected from outside.]
[If the bowl breaks without being able to handle the enormous magical power you will die.]
[That was the reason why humans who overdosed on stardust died in the beginning.]
Of course even Grid and Iron did not know everything about foreign religion.
The reason was that the organization called Oesingyo was a strictly divisive organization.
And strangely enough without anyone having to say who was first they emerged in various places around the world as if they were occurring naturally.
Since it was not a concept of evangelism or missionary work they did not communicate or cooperate with each other.
There was no need to do that in the first place.
It was thanks to the ‘foreign press’.
[Foreign religions ‘communicate’ with the outer universe through foreign stones.]
[So there is no need for humans to exchange information with each other. Except in very special cases.]
-What if it is a special case?
Grid answered Suho’s question.
[Sharing foreign research data. It was only then.]
The existence of Oesinseok was the most important goal and means for Oesinism.
How much sacrifice and research has gone into the research that started with stardust turned into star fragments and became the current foreign stone.
As a result of their numerous researches the efficiency and purity of the foreign stones they produced increased day by day.
As a magic power amplifier this means that the amplification rate has become increasingly higher.
And the race that first led the research were demons.
This was the beginning of the ‘Devil Factory’.
And by closely exchanging the data they had worked so hard to research and develop with foreign believers in other regions they finally created the foreign faith stone that was capable of ‘communication’ beyond ‘reception’.
[Research on foreign seats has finally reached its peak to the point where two-way traffic is now possible from one-way traffic.]
From one-way traffic to two-way traffic.
It was a revolution.
[Until then foreign believers could only passively receive orders from foreign gods that came down through dimensional gaps but from then on it became possible to send information from Earth to outer space.]
[In foreign religions this is called ‘prayer’ or ‘ancestral rites.’]
Those who communicate with foreign media.
It was the moment when foreign religion was completed as a religion in the true sense.
The problem was that the god they served was an invader who had come to destroy this world.
And since it was Suho who had already heard this information through Grid and Iron he noticed that the foreign stones in the eyes of the high elves were very different from before.
“This God Stone… is not made with the blood of our demons.”
“also.”
Eshil’s answer was decisive.
The moment when Suho’s doubts solidified into certainty.
“It was somehow strange. “I searched through the high elf village while rescuing survivors but there were no traces of demons.”
I even found three hidden gates and tried to clean them out but they weren’t there.
Even though the entire area was searched the Devil Factory was not found.
“There are seats for foreigners but there are no devils….”
Esil held the foreign speaker’s seat and pondered Suho’s words.
What that meant was clear.
“I guess they are now able to create the Outer God Stone without the blood of our demons.”
It seemed that the research that started with light blood poisoning had finally come to fruition.
And the results are even more pure than before.
“I think I found an ingredient that can replace demon blood. And it’s clear…”
“It must be someone else’s sacrifice.”
Suho nodded with a scared expression and received Esil’s words.
“Esil find the World Tree quickly. And get stronger as quickly as possible.”
“yes.”
Essil succeeded in becoming the next monarch but it was only possible with the help of Suho.
That did not mean that Eshil still lacked the qualifications to be a monarch but rather had a positive meaning.
Eshil is the lord of gluttony.
If the reason that happened was because I ate the leaves of the World Tree what would happen if I ate more leaves here?
Doesn’t that mean we can become much stronger than we are now?
Then Essil will be able to spread the ‘Army of Hell’ and gather all the demons scattered across the dimension.
This means that with just one shot of that power all the devil factories hidden by the Foreign God Religion can be gathered in front of oneself at once.
And that meant that the locations and information of all the foreign religions that were connected to those demons could be found out at once.
“Let’s fight together. “You will find the World Tree here and I will solve Nidhogg on the World Tree.”
Suho left those words and left the sea of the afterlife.
Solve Nidhogg.
The first step to weakening the six-headed giant snake was ultimately the same as Silad’s request to Su-ho.
[Quest: Request from the Lord of the Cold]
Make Scyllard’s descendant the ice elf Sirka the next lord.
Sirka still lacks enough vessels to contain the primordial darkness.
Please stay by her side take responsibility for her safety and help her grow until she can inherit the darkness of the beginning.
Szilard’s Quest.
In the end it was an earnest request to take responsibility for Sirka’s safety from the threats of numerous spirits and Elvenwoods.
But there was one thing that Szilard had not thought of…
[…kiek? Why do you look at me like that?]
Ber tilted his head.
Suho smiled while looking at Ver’s pure evil innocent expression.
Very bright.
[The King of the Yetis Lord of the Cold realizes that something is wrong.]
But it was already too late to realize it.
Unfortunately Suho was still young and had only learned one way to grow as a weak descendant of a monarch.
“I have to roll.”
[Kiek?]
“If you are a descendant of a monarch you should at least be stronger than an ant larva right?”
“…Huh?”
I don’t know what that means but Sirka felt very ominous.
He saw Cha Hae-in’s expression in Su-ho’s expression as he looked at himself with satisfaction.
Sirka followed Cha Hae-in like a mother and liked her very much but it was not as good as ‘that expression’.
Su-ho’s expression right now… was very similar to the expression Cha Hae-in made when he was training them.
So much so that it gives me goosebumps.
“let’s go.”
“Where?”
“Find all the Elvenwood in this land.”
Suho immediately dragged Sirka to find the nearest village of other elves and invaded it.
[Use ‘Skill: Breath of Destruction’.]
With a devastating greeting.

Meanwhile at that time.
russia.
An uninvited guest appeared in front of Yuri Orlov who was drinking wine while looking down on the city from a high building.
[Someone broke my flower pot.]
Orlov showed no signs of surprise at the sudden appearance of an uninvited guest.
Rather I focused on the content of those words and raised my eyes.
“…what? “What happened to the terrarium?”
