    Episode 139

“Suho aside from moving separately from our guild how about sharing information with each other in the future?”

After handing over all the information to Suho Baek Miho made this last suggestion before returning to the guild.

“Anyway Suho you don’t plan on catching all the escaped villains right? Hmm… To meet the conditions for establishing a guild it would be enough to recruit about 50 people.”

The reason there are ‘roughly’ 50 people is because the experience recognized when hunting villains is not based on the number of villains caught but on the basis of their bounty.

If we were to catch low-level villains it would be enough to catch only about 50 people and if we were to catch villains with high bounties it was possible to meet the conditions for establishing a guild even with a smaller number.

Baek Mi-ho had already heard from Su-ho about his purpose to catch the villains so he gave up on recruiting him and decided to focus only on solving this case.

“And money is not the goal for us either. For the safety of citizens the key is to catch the villains as quickly as possible. “For us it doesn’t matter if Suho gets all the bounty so let’s help each other.”

Since it was an offer that Suho had nothing to lose Suho nodded.

    “Of course.”

Suho held Baek Miho’s outstretched hand.

After breaking up with Baek Mi-ho Su-ho headed straight to Pocheon City where Jisan Prison is located.

[Master do you plan to start tracking the villains from prison?]

While on the move Quay quietly appeared and asked about Suho’s plan.

“Quay if you were one of those guys what would you be doing right now?”

Quay was a former villain so he understood the villains’ position well.

[In my case… I was planning to leave this country right away.]

In the first place there were not many options available to the villains being chased by the Association.

[No matter how strong a villain is there is no answer when stronger hunters come at him at once. So you must hide without being noticed.]

For this very reason the villains at Jisan Prison now numbering as many as 500 were hiding quietly without causing much trouble after escaping.

Of course from the perspective of ordinary citizens that fact was even more horrifying.

Because criminals with superhuman powers could have been quietly mixing in with them.

If they made a big fuss it would have been better to run away but if they stayed hidden like they are now it would be impossible to avoid them when they suddenly reveal their true nature.

Because of such potential threats citizens could not help but tremble with anxiety.

[For example there was an incident where an extremely ordinary-looking woman secretly followed someone else’s home and murdered his entire family in order to stay hidden there.]

It was an incident where a person defined as a villain ran away and committed another crime.

Since the awakening of this ability was often not noticeable on the outside it was actually difficult to distinguish it from others just by looking at it.

However the villains had powers that were incomparable to those of ordinary criminals before the cataclysm so the threat was incomparable.

[But that was also possible at that time.]

In today’s Korea it is nearly impossible to hide from the Hunter Association’s pursuit.

That’s how persistent and fierce their pursuit was.

[If you want to avoid the Hunter Association you must leave this country. There are only two routes for that.]

    Villains’ passports are immediately suspended.

So due to Korea’s geographical characteristics there were only two ways for villains to leave the country.

[If you try to swim through the sea barefoot like me or are not capable of doing so you will eventually have no choice but to go upward.]

    “North Korea.”

[yes. Since Jisan Prison was located in Pocheon it would be much easier to go to North Korea than to the sea.]

“But somehow there is a Hunter named Choi Jong-in in North Korea right now.”

The president of the association and Choi Jong-in the association’s S-class hunter were holding out in North Korea but there was no way they could go to North Korea on their own without the villains going crazy.

Quay nodded his head in understanding at Suho’s words.

[I see. That means in the end those half-baked people who don’t have the confidence to swim in the ocean bare-body will still be stranded in Pocheon.]

“that’s right. And Hwang Dong-seok who is said to be the instigator of this escape is also a mediocre C-level person.”

This was the first reason why Suho was going to Jisan Prison.

    And the second reason is….

[Keeeeek! As expected our Solord is very clever!]

Ber who had been listening quietly until now raised his head and his eyes lit up.

[And in order to save that chalcopyrite ‘Grid’ will also have no choice but to come to Pocheon!]

Su-ho had already heard about Hwang Dong-su’s identity from Ber.

    Hwang Dong-su.

It is said that in his past life he was Seong Jin-woo’s shadow soldier named ‘Grid’.

However as the Earth’s time went back to the past he returned to the time before he became a shadow soldier and returned to living as a human named Hwang Dong-su.

I also forgot all my memories of my past life.

But that kind of inside story was probably good for Ber.

Ber was very excited ever since he found out that Hwang Dong-su was involved in this incident.

[This is really good! Let’s take this opportunity to kill Hwang Dong-su again and bring him back to the grid! Grid himself would want that too!]

“That’s easier said than done. “He’s an S-class villain.”

[Whether they are S-class or anything else all humans are destined to die if their heads are ripped off their necks.]

    “My mother is also S-rank?”

    [Key kiik…!]

Ber was embarrassed by Suho’s words and didn’t know what to do so he quickly fell to the floor and bowed.

[This disloyal servant is guilty of death…!]

    “anyway.”

Suho turned his head from Ber and looked ahead.

    “We have arrived.”

    Jisan Prison.

Suho frowned at the thick smell of blood coming from the door.

Just by looking at the smell of blood one could sense the horrors that had occurred here two days ago.

And coincidentally there was someone next to him who could smell better.

    “gray.”

    Kuuuuu-

At those words a gray puppy appeared from Suho’s shadow.

    [Gray Lv.35]

    canine wolf

    “Let’s start tracking.”

    ***

    Two days ago.

The atmosphere at Jisan Prison was the same as usual.

    Rumble.

When it was exercise time the inmates flocked to the playground and enjoyed their own outdoor activities.

There were also people who enjoyed simple exercise in the middle of the playground.

There were also people giggling and chatting in groups of twos and threes in a corner.

Although this is a prison specializing in villains that boasts the highest security level in Korea its day-to-day life was not much different from an ordinary prison.

    Then.

“Wow. “The weather is nice for once!”

Suddenly tension appeared on the faces of all the prisoners in the playground as someone stretched out and walked out onto the playground.

    Hwang Dong-seok.

He was a C-level villain who was a powerful figure in Jisan Prison and reigned like a king among the inmates.

“Oh yeah yeah. “Don’t worry about me just go about your business.”

Hwang Dong-seok sat down on the bench with a satisfied expression on his face as the prisoners who made eye contact with him bowed their heads politely.

Then as if they had been waiting his subordinates also known as the ‘hairy gang’ gathered around him.

The prisoners conscious of that appearance tried hard to avoid eye contact and turned their heads in that direction.

“Don’t scare the kids for no reason.”

“Ugh. What are you saying I did again? I’m really sad. “Hehe.”

Despite the guard’s warning Hwang Dong-seok only shook his bushy beard and joked sadly.

However although his mouth and tone of voice were smiling his eyes were actually looking down at the prison guard with a cold gaze.

The snake-like gaze sent a chill down the prison guard’s spine but he tried to keep his expression as expressionless as possible.

In fact there was no reason for the prison guard to be afraid of Hwang Dong-seok.

He is a petty criminal at best.

Because he was just a C-level villain.

However the problem was Hwang Dong-seok’s younger brother Hwang Dong-su.

    “Oh right.”

Suddenly Hwang Dong-seok asked the prison guard in a passing tone.

“By any chance did my younger brother get caught?”

    “….”

“Oh my. Looking at your expression it looks like you haven’t caught it yet. “If you catch him quickly the citizens will be safe.”

    “….”

The prison guard who clearly knew what those words meant gritted his teeth quietly.

-My brother is still out there? Aren’t you afraid of walking at night?

Hwang Dong-seok’s younger brother Hwang Dong-su was an S-class villain.

As I said it still hasn’t been caught.

And he was such a dangerous person that I couldn’t even imagine whether I would ever be able to catch him in the future.

And Hwang Dong-seok made good use of that fact and enjoyed great popularity within this prison.

With his younger brother who was an S-class villain walking around outside the prison no inmate could dare disobey Hwang Dong-seok.

To begin with not all of the prisoners here were sentenced to life imprisonment and one day they would be released after completing their sentences.

Or it was because he was afraid of the repercussions of Hwang Dong-su appearing in front of the families of prisoners living outside.

And that feeling was no different from that of a prison guard.

“Hwiyu. “The weather is really nice.”

Hwang Dong-seok who silenced the arrogant prison guard with a single word chuckled and looked at the bright sunlight.

    Well-groomed lawn.

    A colorful flower field.

Bees and butterflies flying freely above it created an extremely peaceful atmosphere.

    however.

No matter how powerful a person became here and how comfortable life became this place was ultimately a damn prison where freedom was suppressed.

I just wanted to be free like those bees and butterflies.

‘Hehe. Really… it’s perfect weather for a prison break.’

Smiling his gaze naturally went down to the electronic anklet on his ankle.

Until now whenever I looked at this magic restraint ball I would feel good but then immediately fall into a tailspin.

    But not like today.

    “boss.”

As soon as the guard left Hwang Dong-seok’s side one of his subordinates came up to him and whispered.

    “Everything is ready.”

    “Hehe. Yes good job.”

Suddenly a meaningful smile appeared on Hwang Dong-seok’s lips.

How much effort have you put into escaping from this damn place?

But that too is over now.

    Tight security at the prison?

    Association hunters?

    I guess that was good.

If the number of villains gathered here started a riot at once I was confident that I would be able to break through.

Of course as long as this damn magic restraint is resolved.

    “Tonight.”

    Hwang Dong-seok’s eyes sparkled.

“We are getting out of here.”

And finally they figured it out.

A way to use magical power even if there is a magic restraint orb.

And Hwang Dong-seok and his gang distributed blue pills to all the villains in the prison avoiding the eyes of the guards.

    “Stardust.”

How many lame and cumbersome methods had been used to secretly introduce this magic power booster into the prison.

And I finally got to see the fruits of all that effort.

    10 o’clock at night.

All the villains at Jisan Prison took stardust at the same time under Hwang Dong-seok’s orders and amplified their magical power.

Surprisingly the magic restraints on their ankles did not respond at all to the magic power amplified by stardust.

“Hwiyu. It’s just as he said. “How on earth did he figure out this method?”

A feeling of fullness of magical power boiling up in my body for the first time in a long time.

A satisfied smile appeared on the lips of Hwang Dong-seok who had tested stardust several times in advance but this was his first time taking stardust.

    “Then shall we get started?”

He then gave orders to his subordinates with an even crueler look.

    “Kill all the prison guards.”

    Why~

    A riot broke out.

The sounds of sirens and screams echoing through Jisan Prison.

At the sudden noise the bees and butterflies sitting on the flowers flew up all at once.

    Why~
