Immortality ……?

Leon savored the term.

In fact, eternal life was a bit of a ‘paradox’ in his opinion.

In many people’s lives, they may not have ever mentioned or seriously thought about what the so-called “eternal life” is, how to achieve it, and what the price of eternal life is;

[Immortality] seldom appears in the form of a serious topic in the lives of the vast majority of people, but as each person walks through a life of either mediocrity or splendor, there is always the temptation to look to this definition, which is not seriously contemplated, for more longevity.

Take Leon himself for example, before starting this fake family with Loseweather, he also never considered [immortality] or longevity or anything related to that.

Because Leon was taught proper death as a child.

He was taught how to face death properly by his teacher, a nun at the orphanage, and by his rough-and-tumble master.

As for after this false family was formed, Leon did wonder about the different lifespans of humans and dragons.

Thinking about it, he couldn’t come up with a reason.

Dragons have a longer lifespan than humans, but eventually they too will be buried in this land.
