    Chapter Index

    “Bullshit, it’s true.”

“Mother dragon you are so- eh eh eh! Slow down slow down!”

A sonic boom from the Queen accelerated and made the dog man swallow his unfinished words.

    25 Immortality (2 in 1, plus more!)

A cave in a mountain stream at the border between the territories of the human and dragon races.

Leon stood on the edge of the cliff, looking at the hidden cave behind the waterfall, looking gravely

That was where he had arranged to meet with the Master.

Just now, Loseweather asked him if he would be a little nervous in case the Master didn’t make it to the appointment.

Leon was certainly convinced that with the Master’s abilities, it was unlikely that he would be easily captured by the Empire.

After all, when the Master had first pressured the Empire by killing the casino owner and the ‘metallurgical’ priest, the Empire had failed to catch him for a full year.

But believe it or not, Leon’s heart was more or less still a little worried and nervous, as Los Vespers had said.

The sound of the waterfall’s stirring current lingered, and a slight coolness surged up from the mountain stream below.

Leon closed his eyes and took a deep breath to adjust before turning his head to look at Losweather beside him, “Let’s go down.”

The Queen nodded and spread her dragon wings behind her, taking Leon on a slow flight into the mountain stream.

When they reached the waterfall, Losvesser swung her wings and shook off the current of the waterfall, joining Leon in the cavern behind it.

The inside of the cave was still simply furnished with tables and chairs like the two of them had seen before, with little extra furniture.

Leon looked around the entrance of the cave for a moment before casting his eyes deeper into the cavern.

It was rather dimly lit in there, shrouded by a cloud of shadows that made it hard to see.

Leon said tentatively toward the inside, “Master, are you there.”

The aftermath echoed through the cavern, and beyond that, Leon received no other response.

    Seeing this, Leon’s mind tightened.

Master, they couldn’t have really had an accident, could they?

Unconsciously he clenched his fists and his heart began to beat faster uncontrollably.

All sorts of bad thoughts flashed through his mind.

If something really happened to the master, how should he explain to the master’s mother in the future ……

And then there was Rebecca, that crazy girl who had gone out of her way to help herself and willingly got caught up in this maelstrom of intrigue between men and dragons, and if she hadn’t been spared as well, Leon would have blamed himself for the rest of his life.

Moreover, if Master and Rebecca hadn’t been able to escape the Empire’s pursuit, then I’m afraid that Martin boy would not be able to escape from his involvement either.
