Nutritious, safe, and just fulfill those three things.

So now she was also just holding Little Light, standing behind Leon, silently watching his busy back.

Kou’s teeth are not yet developed enough to eat roast beef, so we’ll have to wait about another week or so.

But Kou has a good nose.

After smelling the scent of roasted meat, he spoke vaguely in baby talk and stretched his little arms at Leon’s back.

Losweather pinched her youngest daughter’s cheeks, “Little Light can’t eat right now oh, mommy brought you something else delicious oh.”

She coaxed Kou, turned back to her beach chair, and fed Kou the prepared nutritional shake to him little by little with a spoon.

The youngest daughter was obedient and dutifully drank her milkshake in response to the smell of the roast.

The Queen smiled a pleased auntie smile.

It turns out that bringing up a daughter is such a fulfilling thing.

Watching her grow little by little, becoming more intimate with herself little by little, that soft part of Losvesser’s heart got a great sense of satisfaction.

In fact, she’d felt this way over a year ago when she’d taken Noah and Mourne, only very, very faintly.

Because Leon was still in a coma at that time, she couldn’t share her worries, not to mention that her ‘feelings’ for Leon at that time were still mainly revenge, so the more feelings in her heart were still loss and sadness.

It can’t be helped, spoiling your arch-enemy’s child and procreation is not a thing that can be gladly accepted, no matter how you think about it, right?

But that doesn’t mean that Loseweather doesn’t love Noa and Mourne, she loves her daughters no less than Leon.

And now she and Leon were maintaining this fake family, and all was in harmony, and no one in the world could tell they were a fake couple except themselves.

The daughters were born into this false family, but the love they felt was real.

It was enough, very much enough, and such a life had been far more than Lois Visser had expected in the first place.

It’s just that behind …… a good lie, someone always has to bear the weight of that lie.

What Leon didn’t know was that Loseweather had frequent nightmares during the time she was pregnant with Kou.

In the dream, Leon left the Silver Dragon Sanctuary, the false family, and the daughters who loved him.

    And, of course, left Loseweather.

Whenever this dream intruded on Los Vesper’s consciousness, she would wake up late at night.

She couldn’t remember the details of the dream or the beginning and the only thing she could remember was that Leon was gone.

There were no horrific images, no heartbreaking cries, just a silent departure was enough to make Loseweather break out in a cold sweat.

And when she looks sideways at her pillow, her wildly beating heart gradually calms down.

    Everything, it’s just a dream.

Loseweather didn’t understand why she had that dream and why she was disturbed by it.

As she thought about it, she realized that she was too afraid that the family she had managed to hold together would fall apart overnight.

Like when Leon returned to the Empire a few days ago, the pressure she was under was more than anyone could ever empathize with.

Five days and five nights was not even a drop in the ocean for the thousand year lifespan of a dragon, but it was the most torturous five days that Roseweather had ever spent.
