    Chapter Index

It’s a shame to tell the truth.

After about two hours or so, Leon sensed that Loseweather was slowly reducing her speed and altitude.

He sat up and looked down.

Although the Silver Dragon Sanctuary could be seen, it was still a long way away, and Los Vespers would not be able to reach the sanctuary by slowing down in this position.

Before Leon could ask a single question about what she was doing, Los Visser had slowly landed on the ground.

She bent down her massive dragon body and Leon leapt lightly off her back.

And then Loseweather took human form as well.

She was still wearing the same dress she’d worn that day when she’d dropped Leon off, only with more dirt stains at the hem.

That pretty face was also slightly tired and sleepy.

When she said she never left, did she mean that all these days …… she had been waiting for herself in that wood, Leon thought to himself.

Losvesser didn’t say anything, just stepped over to a shrub and sat down, then snapped her fingers and whipped out a small splash of dragonflame, igniting the dry wood in front of her.

The campfire was lit, and the firelight illuminated her delicate but tired face.

“Come over to the fire after being in the rain so long.” She said.

    “Oh…good.”

Leon walked over and sat on the bush next to her.

    Some distance from her.

There was little expression on Loseweather’s face, just a glance at Leon and then at the empty seat beside her.

    It’s all in the words.

Leon immediately lifted his ass and catapulted himself up to the table with small steps.

The couple sat side by side, the warmth of the fire dispelling the cold from their bodies, warm and cozy.

The firewood crackled, and Losvesser rested her chin on one hand, her eyes downcast as she gazed silently into the campfire, the firelight reflecting in her silver eyes, making those pupils look like delicate, expensive jewels.

Leon pursed his lips, torn for a little while, but opened his mouth first, “Have you… been waiting for me there?”

Loseweather nodded, “At first I planned to wait only three days for you, and once the three days are up, I’m leaving, whether you come back or not.”

At that, Leon counted the days, “But I’ve been back in the Empire …… for four or five days this time, right?”

“Well, I waited an extra two days for you.”

Leon’s pupils twitched slightly, “And in case I’m delayed in the Empire for a few more days, you ……”

“Before we left I instructed Anna that she might be going out with the Lord Prince for a while this time, and told her not to worry and to take good care of her daughters.”

    Leon gave a thoughtful “Oh”.

Taking everything into consideration is indeed the style of work of Roseweather.
