Leon’s feet stuttered a beat after that move.

“Ch, the accumulation of magic power is still too slow ……”

He chanted, hurriedly adjusting his rhythm and running toward the mountains ahead.

Through the mountains and forests ahead, a few more leaps over mountains and through a Gobi, you reach the border between human and dragon territory.

It was easy to say, but in reality, with the human’s footwork, it would take at least half a month for even Leon to hoof it.

And that was only just leaving human territory, it would take at least ten more days to return to the Silver Dragon Clan.

Calculating the time it would take on the road, Leon ran to a tree, braced himself against the trunk, and raised his hand to wipe the rain from his face.

“Suddenly a little envious of that mother dragon, the guy with wings …… says fly.”

The Silver Dragons, who were known for their speed, took a mere three hours to travel this long distance.

After a small grumble, Leon took a step and was about to continue on his way.

However, just at that moment, ear-piercing demonic ape howls came from all directions.

Leon’s heart tightened, “Looks like the Empire was prepared for this…”

    Leaves rustled and trunks creaked.

The group of monsters weren’t eager to attack, but wanted to wear down Leon’s fighting spirit little by little.

Leon tried to gather his magic, but the electricity in his hand merely flickered twice before going out.

    “ROAR!!!”

Seemingly realizing that that prey could no longer use magic, a long-tailed demon ape swooped down on Leon from the flank like a ghost.

Leon reacted quickly, bowing and bending the moment the creature lunged, followed by a stiff jab that landed solidly in the demon ape’s abdomen.

The Demon Ape wailed in pain, and Leon took this opportunity to clutch its tail with both hands while lifting his foot and stomping off its calf.

This demonic ape held its shattered calf and howled on the ground, and the howling attracted several more demonic apes.

They fell like this rain, one after the other, all around Leon, surrounding him.

Leon eyeballed at least forty of them.

“Shit, what a stab in the monkey’s nest.”

Long-tailed Demon Apes are different from other dangerous species in that they know more about teamwork as well as tactics.

Leon knew this well enough to have no intention of spending time with them.

What’s more, the Empire’s pursuers should be arriving soon as well, so he simply couldn’t fight a war of attrition here.

Must escape as soon as possible.

    Leon observed the
