    Out the door.”

“Isn’t not wanting to go out a geek? What else is the definition of a geek or something?” Rebecca perked up.

Unable to defend himself, Martin silently closed his mouth.

He covered his chest and propped himself up on the dining room table to Victor’s body.

The former lieutenant fell in a pool of blood, no longer alive.

After a little silence, Martin sighed, “Why on earth would Victor help the Empire frame the captain ……”

Leon shook his head slowly, “There’s no point in dwelling on the motives of a pawn, how about just simplifying the question, why is the Empire so eager to kill me.”

Martin, who came from a ministerial family, quickly thought of a reason, “Meritocracy?”

Since Leon graduated from the Dragonslayer Academy, it took him just a few years to go from an ordinary soldier of the Dragonslayer Army to the ‘Strongest Dragonslayer’ that people were rumored to be.

And Leon is worthy of that title, both in strength and in personal charisma.

Leon’s prestige in the civil society was building up day by day, and he was supported and loved by countless people in the Dragonslayer Army.

Such a person is nothing less than a potential threat to the center of power in the Empire.

Leon did consider this as well, was it possible that his presence was seen as a thorn in the side of the Empire, and so he had to be removed to ensure the centralization and unification of power.

But that doesn’t explain the partnership between the Empire and the Dragons.

Or perhaps, again, these are two things that have absolutely nothing to do with each other ……

“I don’t think it’s just because of the so-called meritocracy that the Kid is on the Empire’s radar.”

Tag’s voice came from behind him.

    The three Leon’s looked back.

Taigu leaned against the doorway with his taijutsu in his arms, “I experienced something when I was young that made me thoroughly realize the power and darkness of the Empire, and that’s the reason why I often taught Leon to just focus on fighting the war and stay out of politics. And Leon’s understanding of power at the time wasn’t enough for the Empire to rush to get rid of him, so there must be another reason for this.”

After a pause, Tyger added, “It might really have something to do with the dragons. This war that has lasted for hundreds of years, there are many, many more insider secrets and conspiracies that we have no way of knowing. Killing Viktor, this little pawn, won’t make the Empire stop hunting Leon, we still have a long way to go.”

The Master’s words made the atmosphere in the room heavy.

Yeah, taking out a mole means nothing.

Victor is nothing more than a manipulated puppet on strings, and the real boss behind the scenes has yet to show his face.

In order to kill Leon, they even went so far as to send a Dragon King like Constantine.
