    Chapter Index

She didn’t know what a stiff upper lip was, what arrogance was, or what was a couple’s conflict again, she just knew that when it came up, the only time they might talk their hearts out was after mom and dad had separated.

Leon took small bites of the sliced bread, while Los Vespers only took the occasional sip of fresh water, not touching a single piece of the complementary fruit on the dinner plate.

It was the most silent breakfast the Melkweys had had in months.

Moune quietly finished his share and hopped off the stool, “Dad, I’ll meet you at the practice field.”

Leon drifted off, “Huh? Ah…okay, dad will be right there.”

    “Uh-huh.”

    Moon left.

Leon withdrew his gaze and glanced at Los Vespers before raising his chin at the complementary fruit on her dinner plate, “Eat more or less, or it will go to waste.”

    “To hell with you.”

Come on, that’s really pissed off.

    She had been angry with Leon before, but in a very “dragon” way, with a kind of “I don’t care to reason with you, you don’t deserve to hear it, I’m going to explode with you” kind of aesthetics;

But now this angry …… always gives Leon a sense of vestigial feeling of the master s mother losing her temper with the master.

He still remembered one time when Master had promised well to accompany Shi Maiden to go shopping, and Shi Maiden had dressed up that day, and even put on a nice skirt that she never wished to wear.

As it turned out, the Master had other matters to attend to that day and pigeon-holed the Master’s wife.

Then Shifu didn’t speak to Master for three whole days in a row, and despite Master’s best efforts, Shifu’s reply was just one word:

    Oh.

It’s more like “gambling” than anger.

Leon had the biggest headache with this situation – because neither Master nor the Dragonslayer’s Academy had taught him how to make a gambling female dragon happy.

He did coax the donkey, and coaxed it quite well. He gave the donkey two bundles of grass, and the donkey wagged its tail and started pulling the mill again.

But obviously donkeys are not the same species as dragons and cannot be compared to each other.

This, coupled with the fact that Lois Visser was now pregnant with her second child and was already having emotional ups and downs, made Leon even more clueless.

In the midst of the offense, her eyes caught a glimpse of Los Vespers slowly eating the pieces of fruit on her plate.

Leon’s heart sighed a little in relief at that.

When she was done eating, though, Loswither didn’t say much as she got right up and went back to her bedroom and closed the door behind her.

Leon scratched his cheek and ate the last bite of the sliced bread.

He thought about going to talk to Loseweather, but the ending, if nothing else, Loseweather shouldn’t even open the door for him.

Leon knew her, and when that stubbornness set in, eight dragons couldn’t pull it back.

He frowned in thought, the cure had to be found first, so he would have to address the source of the problem that had made Loseweather gamble with him first.

To make a girl happy, you have to rely on your mouth alone.
