    Chapter Index

Losweather turned off the bedside lamp and lay back down with a faint, “Good night.”

    “Good night.”

In fact, they weren’t in the habit of saying good night to each other before.

    It doesn’t even feel necessary.

What does a prisoner of war say good night to the Queen?

It’s a miracle to sleep together, don’t make it sound like a couple.

But ever since the night they were checked by Noah Munn in the middle of the night, the couple had coincidentally developed a tacit understanding to say goodnight to each other.

That night, they kissed in secret, and the feeling of confusion was subtle, but it also brought out the addiction in them.

The word ‘good night’ is simple, but it is very effective in soothing this addiction in the hearts of the couple.

It always feels like the day is missing something without saying good night.

So, just say it, and no third person will know anyway.

What’s more, saying good night doesn’t mean anything.

Does saying good night mean you like each other?

When Leon was a kid, he used to say good night to his master’s donkey every day. Why didn’t he see the donkey turn into a pretty little donkey lady and have a forbidden love affair with Leon across the races?

Retracting his boundless fugitive thoughts, Leon slowly closed his eyes and waited quietly for the mother dragon to fall asleep.

The room fell silent, and after some time Leon felt that the time was about right.

He kept his head still, next to the pillow, while his eyes glanced at the wall clock.

It’s 2:15 a.m. I’m sure Her Majesty is already in dreamland.

    Leon is ready for action.

He pursed his lips, opened his mouth, and was just about to try a line to ask Lois Visser who wasn’t asleep.

But before he could say anything, he only heard the voice of Lois Visser coming from his pillow first.

    “Are you asleep, Leon.”

“No, no ……,” Leon hastened to put on a groggy tone.

    “Oh.”

    Ten minutes later.

    “Are you asleep, Leon.”

    “Nope.”

    “Oh.”

    Another ten minutes later.

    “Are you asleep, Leon.”

“If you have something to say, say it.”

    “Nothing, just asking.”
