    Chapter Index

“Uh-huh.” She was ready to paste a cream puff in Leon’s face if she opened her eyes and saw it.

The next moment, the hands that had been blindfolded were slowly withdrawn.

After adjusting slightly to the light in the room, Los Vespers lowered her eyes to see that there was an oversized cake sitting in the living room!

The cake was the size of a coffee table, to say the least, so it was no wonder it smelled so creamy.

The cake also had some fruit cut into small pieces, mostly oranges, with strawberries and mangoes for garnish.

In addition to this, on the top tier of the cake, there was a line written in jam:

    Happy birthday, Roseweather.

Roseweather looked at the “spectacle” in front of her and couldn’t help but marvel slightly.

She’s seen a lot of cakes and a lot of birthday wishes.

But it was the first time she’d seen a cake that combined the two and made the size so exaggerated.

Loseweather set the gift in her hand aside and asked, “Do all humans have to eat cake on their birthdays?”

“Well, it’s kind of a custom.” Leon said.

Loseweather nodded thoughtfully, “All this big?”

“No, not all of it. It’s what I told you before, that while the birthday part is all the usual stuff, the details may be different.”

“All I see is a cake bigger than my coffee table, and your details are?”

“Candles. Count them, there are two hundred and eighteen candles, which just corresponds to your age.”

There were indeed quite a few candles, but Loseweather didn’t really bother to count them.

No wonder Leon wants to make such a big cake, enough more than 200 candles, the cake can not be inserted.

She stepped forward and looked at the oversized cake, the light from the candles reflecting in her silver eyes.

It wasn’t quite understandable why humans had such a custom for their birthdays, but the novelty of it had pleased Loseweather.

It’s also hard to see how Leon could prepare such a big cake in just a few days and not let any word get out.

Should I say it’s worthy of being the strongest dragonslayer, to hide his whereabouts so well.

Even Loseweather thought he was trying to muddle through.

Loseweather reached out with her jade finger and gently scraped the cream from the cake with her fingertip before passing it to her mouth for a taste.

It was sweet and not at all cloying.

It’s like a million times better than a cream puff.

Sweet flavors can brighten the mood, and Losweather smiled, turning around and complimenting Leon for once in a rare moment, “That was pretty well done, human birthdays …… are pretty fun.”

“It’s not over yet.” Leon said.

Loseweather’s eyes lit up, “Anything else?”

Inexplicably, she was actually looking forward to what else they humans could get up to.

Only Leon smiled wryly, walked over to Los Vespers, pointed to those candles on the cake, and said, “Blow out the candles and make a wish.”

    “Eh? Why, why
