    Chapter Index

Leon breathed a silent sigh of relief, “Gonna have to get a little more caught up after giving the mother dragon her birthday.”

    121 Happy Birthday (4k words)

It was just after eleven o’clock on Tuesday night, less than an hour before the end of Lois Visser’s two hundred and eighteenth birthday.

Yet the big birthday boy hadn’t returned.

Leon had originally planned to call Mourne along, thinking to give them a surprise for both mother and daughter, and to make up for the regret that his daughter didn’t get to see her waking up dad last year on Roseweather’s birthday.

But it was already so late, and Moune had already fallen asleep.

Noa also returned to St. Heath’s yesterday morning.

When Mu En wakes up tomorrow, he can instead find his daughter alive and well and say, “You know what, good baby, daddy is in time for mommy’s birthday this year~

Mourne would have been happy, too.

    But here’s the thing:

    What about tonight?

A big part of the reason Leon had agreed to let Lois Visser run her birthday in the first place was because she had mentioned her daughters.

But now his daughters went to school and slept, making it seem as if he had thrown this birthday surprise just for Lois Visser.

Leon huffed as he sat on the couch in Losweather’s room, “Sly she-dragon, next year will definitely not be your birthday!”

Let’s just settle for this year.

    Well, it’ll be just that.

    ……

And at that moment, Lois Visser was walking towards her room with a couple of gift boxes.

    Though the dragons only celebrate their birthday every ten years after coming of age, inviting friends and family from all sides to the party;

But that doesn’t mean that they won’t receive small gifts on their birthdays during the period.

The gift box that Losvesser was now holding included one from her sister Isha, one from Anna, the head maid, and one from a couple of female classmates she had gotten along with in her earlier years of school.

She was working a little late tonight, taking care of some important business, that’s why she’s back so late.

I thought about checking on my daughter, but usually at this time of day Mourne was already asleep, so Los Vespers had no choice but to stop.

And …… all day long, except at the dinner table, Lois Visser on the monthly fee group six nine four nine three six one three five have not seen Leon.

I guess my birthday didn’t go well, so I’m hiding?

Losweather shook her head and didn’t try to guess, but it looked like that should be the end of the night anyway.

    Nothing special.

She returned to the door of her room and was about to open it when she realized it was ajar.

You can see through the door that there’s nothing in the house.
