    kind.”

Upon hearing this, the smile on Lal’s dad’s face below froze as if he realized something.

“Dad didn’t reject me and started to teach me how to use the mini dragonflame, but before long, Dad was sweating so much that he couldn’t even stand up.”

“That’s something I didn’t realize until after the fact; Dad actually hurt his knee those days.”

“I asked him how he got it. He said he accidentally hit a very hard rock while hunting and that he would be fine after two days of recuperation.”

“But at that time, in order to keep me from worrying, in order for me to learn magic properly, Dad chose to be silent, chose to hold back.”

    “This is silent fatherhood!”

Leon sat down and listened, his original frustration improving a bit.

Turns out that’s what the silent in “Father’s Love is Silent” means.

Son, you have to realize that being beaten to silence by someone else and your dad choosing to be silent on his own are two completely different concepts.

But Lal’s little essay is really still very well written, with a smooth flow and neat handwriting, and there’s a reason why he got first place.

After all, you can’t force a little 7 or 8 year old hatchling to write masterpieces.

Lal finished reading aloud and looked at his dad with a twinkle in his eye.

A small poke in the knee by my own good son, but never mind.

    First place!

His good oldest child was number one!

Lal’s dad stood up and gave his acceptance speech, “Lal, dad does love you to the fullest, and you rewarded dad with such a vivid composition today, even if dad’s other knee was hurt too, it was worth it!”

A statement this powerful and explosive also had to make Leon look back for a second.

But it didn’t matter if he didn’t turn around, as soon as he did, he met Lal’s dad’s gaze.

He sneered disdainfully towards the culprit who had left him with a knee injury, as if he hadn’t been in the classroom, and feared that he might not have already walked over to ride his face in mockery.

That’s the start of the upper lip, surely it’s better to wait a little while and have your other knee scrapped as well, as you wished, isn’t it? Leon thought.

Loseweather tugged on Leon’s sleeve and whispered, “Out of sight, out of mind.”

Leon shrugged and withdrew his gaze.

Lal’s dad was about to continue to banter about the Leon family, but at that moment all he heard was the homeroom teacher say.

“Oh yeah, one student’s essay wasn’t with me, so it didn’t participate in this ranking.”

As soon as this was said, the young dragons and parents in the class returned their attention from Papa Lal to the homeroom teacher.
