    Chapter Index

Leon collected his thoughts and waited quietly for the dance to begin.

“The play is called The Albatross Sunset Ensemble.” Lois Visser said.

Leon looked down at the title of the play on the ticket in his hand and returned, “Well, I can read.”

“It’s about two people who are married by mistake, but don’t have much of a relationship at first, and through time, they get to know each other and eventually open up and fall in love with each other.”

Leon pursed his lips and adjusted his sitting position.

How does it seem to imply my life?

Though he already knew in his heart how much the characterization of this drama “maps reality”, he still pretended to be calm, “Oh, it’s fine.”

After a pause, he asked, “Eh you’ve seen it before?”

Loseweather shook her head, “I’ve only read the original novelization of the dance drama.”

    “Fiction?”

Leon remembered the romance novels he’d been reading last night while he and Loseweather had stayed up late making date plans, one of which also had something to do with albatrosses.

“Is that the one we read last night?”

“No, but it’s the same author.”

Leon let out a faint ooh and spat, “This author seems to like albatrosses, then.”

“Because there will only be one partner in an albatross’s life, which coincides with the husband-and-wife relationship of dragons, many authors often use albatrosses to represent devoted love.”

Lois Visser explained nonchalantly, “This is the final installment in this author’s Albatross Trilogy, a collection of masterpieces that have also been adapted into the dance drama we’re about to watch because of its excellent content.”

Leon stared blankly at the side of Los Vespers’ face.

She explained these things as if they were her own and her head, not at all shying away from words like she usually did when talking to Leon.

I could tell that she was really quite fond of these art forms.

This Leon had never really understood before.

“Have you ever seen a dance or opera or anything like that before?” Lois Visser asked with a sidelong glance.

Leon hurriedly averted his eyes, “Ah…no, haven’t seen much of it.”

“Well, ask me later if there’s anything you can’t read and I’ll tell you.”

    “So kind?”

Losweather glanced at him lightly, “I’m just worried that if your daughter asks when we get home and you don’t know anything about it, won’t the date seem too fake.”

    Leon shrugged, “OK.”

Ten minutes later, the show began.

The first act is a wedding, a romantic and luxurious scene that catches the eye of the audience.
