    Chapter Index

    Nod.

If this was a human sporting event, the school would be abusing the students if they dared to let these kids, who are not even ten years old, run a thousand meters.

But the thought that this was the Dragon Games made everything make sense.

After all, a fighting nation that could write “How to Kill S-Class Dangerous Species” on a children’s book like “Young Dragon Enlightenment Short Story” could never be judged by common sense.

“So, Mom first, me second, Dad – you third, okay?”

Noah was just about to subconsciously call out the word “Daddy”.

But the little guy still seems a little formal, or, perhaps, embarrassed?

And ultimately, it didn’t come out.

It didn’t matter though, Leon was satisfied when he heard that one syllable if any.

At least it’s a big improvement over the last time when I only did a “b” mouthpiece.

The couple had no problem with their daughter’s arrangement.

“Once the relay order has been determined, please have all family members get to their respective starting points and get set up, our relay race will begin shortly.” The referee on the sidelines shouted.

The spot where the three Leon’s stood was the starting point for the first baton, so Lois Visser didn’t have to move.

“Well, then, mom, we’ll go ahead and get ready.” Noah said.

“Okay, don’t be nervous, mommy will be the first to get the baton to you.” Loseweather smiled, shaking the baton in her hand.

A smile appeared on Noa’s cold little face as well, “Good.”

After assuring her eldest daughter that she was fine, Los Vesper raised her eyes to Leon again.

The couple looked at each other without saying too much, just nodding imperceptibly at each other.

Leon withdrew his gaze and accompanied Noa to the second batting position.

The whole time, neither father nor daughter opened their mouths to say anything.

Noa took the Games seriously enough that Leon didn’t make little jokes with her about lighthearted stress relief.

    With another kid, it might have worked a little;

But Noa is different, once she gets serious, others may give away her “energy” by chatting with her.

It wasn’t until she was standing at the start of the second leg that Leon turned to her and said.

“I’ll be waiting for you at third base, Noah.”

    “Uh-huh.”

After a pause, Leon looked down at his right hand, then made a slight fist before reaching out to Noa.

    “A little encouragement for Dad?”

Noa understood and raised her small fist to touch lightly with Leon’s as well.

Just like the day they took the entrance test, a large and a small fist could clearly feel each other’s strength.

After touching fists, Leon then turned and ran to the start of the final run.

After all the families were in position, a dazzling dragon flame exploded in the air and the match officially began.
