    Chapter Index

The guy acted as if he hadn’t seen him, practicing his chopping motion on his own.

    Loseweather stepped forward.

Just when she was less than two meters away from Leon, she only heard the “buzz” of a lifetime, the branch split the air, drew an arc in the air, and finally came to a stable stop in front of the tip of her nose.

Roseweather didn’t even react to being “startled”, her eyes just calmly ignored the branch at hand and looked at Leon calmly.

“Do you realize how disobedient it is to point a weapon at me in the Silver Dragon Sanctuary?”

“You call a branch a weapon?”

“Yo, weren’t you once the strongest dragonslayer, not to mention a twig, even a leaf is a murderous hidden weapon in your hands, right?”

“Mother dragon, if you want to compliment someone, do it properly and do it cool, what’s the point of being shady.”

Leon put down the branch and walked over to a bench and sat down.

Loseweather walked over as well and sat down next to Leon.

Leon glanced at her, then moved his ass to the side.

In the evening, the setting sun hung diagonally in the distance, coloring the sky a fiery red.

The wavering light dragged the duo’s silhouettes for a long, long time as they gazed at the waning sun that was about to fall below the lower part of the floor, not saying a word, as if they were concentrating on enjoying the last moments of the day.

“Coming to the practice field to play with Mourne is missing Noa, isn’t it?” Loseweather suddenly spoke up.

Leon rubbed his nose and grunted without responding.

He sat silently, looking at the track in the practice arena pavilion, where Noah had run around and around when he did his physical workouts before, until he was too exhausted to get up.

And today, a few small birds Leon couldn’t name stayed on the runway, hopping around.

    “Noa wrote me yesterday.”

Hearing this, Leon reacted a little, turning his head to look at Losweather.

“She said she’s doing okay these days and told us not to worry.”

The words fell silent for a few seconds before Leon couldn’t help but ask, “No?”

Losweather nodded, “No more. It’s not like you don’t know what kind of nature Noa has, I’m already surprised that she took the initiative to write back to report her safety.”

Leon mused a little and commented, “Like you.”

    “Like me what?”

“Doesn’t like to show his feelings out too much, always has a taut little face, keeps people guessing what’s really going on in his mind.”

Lossweather smiled faintly, “Maybe. But do you remember what I told you before, that Noa is actually a very good child.”

    “Remember.”

“How do you feel about this after all this time?”
