    Chapter Index

With some coaxing, Leon dragged her to the balcony.

Lossweather leaned against the balcony railing, the cool evening breeze brushing her face, her long hair flying and swaying in the darkness like silver quicksand.

Leon stood beside her, hands in his pockets, mentally waiting to sober up a bit before sending her back to bed in her bedroom.

The two were silent, and all that could be heard was the sound of the wind under the darkness of the night.

After a long time, Losweather tilted her head and spoke slowly, the

    “I’m so worried about her.”

    “Noah?”

“Hmm. She’s more precocious and understanding than her peers, but ultimately she’s just a kid, and has never left home and gone out to live on her own.”

She closed her eyes and continued.

“Will you remember to do your laundry, will you be a picky eater, will you eat breakfast on time.”

“Can you accidentally get into trouble when you run into someone with a bad personality.”

“And studying, in case the teachers at the academy don’t teach you as well as you do, will she resent it and then stop listening properly.”

“What if you get sick? Can you go to the doctor by yourself?”

“Leon …… I’m so worried about her, I’m so worried …… about her ……”

The end of the last word was drowned in the wind.

    She’s drunk.

The body tilted slightly sideways and leaned on Leon’s shoulder.

Leon sighed again and muttered “women are trouble”, but honestly picked up Roseweather and took her back to her bedroom.

Remove her shoes, tuck her in, and keep a glass of warm water at the bedside.

Once everything was ready, Leon breathed a sigh of relief and looked over at the slightly inebriated Losweather.

The beauty was lying on her side, her silver hair sparse on the bed, and her sleeping face was so beautifully serene that one could not bear to disturb it.

The straps of her nightgown slipped off her rounded shoulders, revealing a half-touch of tender white puffiness and a corner of a dragon print.

Leon swallowed and hurriedly withdrew his gaze intending to leave.

But just as he turned around, his own wrist was gently grabbed.

“Won’t you take this opportunity to get your revenge back ……” whispered Loseweather, “The dragon tattoos are already reacting …… “

Leon pursed his lower lip and, with a slight effort, broke free of Los Vesper’s hand.

    “Sleep your sleep, she-dragon.”

Hmph, I’ll come when you say so? Do I still want to lose face!

You’ll only be impressed if you go back with a vengeance when you’re sober.

After all, an excellent dragonslayer must know how to wait for an opportunity to make the target let down its guard before delivering a fatal blow.

He turned off the bedroom light and door as his footsteps faded away.

It was late in the night, and Lossweather was engulfed in sleep and drifted off to sleep.

Soon the sound of her well-proportioned breathing resounded in the quiet bedroom.

    Incidentally.

If this family of the wronged species could have known what was going to happen at Commencement in three days, there’s a special term in academia to describe their behavior tonight, and that’s – popping champagne!
