    Chapter Index

Noa trotted out of the office.

The staff member stood up as well, “Little Noa would be a fetal hatchling, right?”

    Loseweather nodded.

“Then please follow me, both of you, to the third floor for the examination of the fetal family.”

Leon and Losweather looked at each other, then nodded imperceptibly towards each other.

When it comes down to it, no one understands appraisal better than our family!

Leon was close to telling Los Vespers all about how many times he’d been kicked by his master’s donkey when he was a kid.

If this doesn’t pass, Leon will have to put on his black and gold chariot and go to the principal’s office to reason with the questioner.

The staff took them to the third floor, though there appeared to be two other groups of families in line in front of them.

It looks like it should be a while.

After all, St. Heath’s College is big on family tests.

“I’ll go inside and register the two of you first, there are two more families in front of you, so please be at ease.” The staff nodded slightly.

    “Well, please.”

The staff went into the office in front of them.

Leon and Lois Visser sat down on a bench in the hallway.

Losvesser bowed her head, her tail curling slightly involuntarily, and placed her hands on her knees, pressing and rubbing her nails back and forth.

It looks like it’s a little tense.

Leon leaned back in his chair and glanced sideways at Los Vespers.

She’s been saying since last night that she’s nervous and stressed – and gave Leon a “lesson” in her classic tactics.

She made a point of giving an explanation afterward, but she never explained why before.

I guess I should really value this entrance test, it’s a big deal for Noa.

Leon pursed his lips and lifted his hand, looking at the back of Loseweather’s white hand.

But after a moment’s tussle, his hand ended up on Los Vesper’s shoulder, the

“What’s the matter, the effects of the decompression treatment you just had last night have passed so quickly?”

Lossweather glared at him with an angry smile, she could hear that Leon was actually trying to make a joke to ease her nerves, “That’s not comforting at all.”

Leon spread his hands, “So how do you want me to comfort you? A couple more times?”

    “Fuck you.”

Loseweather laughed and cursed, then moved her shoulders and shook off Leon’s hand.

But such a little joke helped ease her nervous anxiety from earlier.

Losvesser tilted her head back and took a long breath, waiting quietly for the test to begin.

After about an hour, the two families in front of them had finished their examinations.
