    Chapter Index

The child did not like being treated like a child.

    Leon knew this well.

So he puts himself and Loseweather on the same starting line as Noah.

What he meant was not “Mom and Dad are your strongest shields”, but “Mom and Dad will work with you”.

That kind of recognition is what Noa needs.

And Noa’s reaction proved that Leon had done a good job of thinking.

A look of surprise and delight briefly crossed her cold little face as well.

It was fleeting, but her heart was still moved by Leon’s words.

Father and daughter were sitting opposite each other with their legs crossed.

Leon raised his right hand and gently clenched it into a fist, “I don’t know if you can understand this cheering gesture, but – Dad wants to try it with you.”

With that, Leon straightened his arm and hovered his fist between him and Noa.

Noa blinked at Leon’s gesture and then looked down at her small hands.

Hesitating a little, she also clenched her right hand into a fist, following Leon’s lead and straightening her arm.

Two fists, one large and one small, gently touched.

Leon narrowed his eyes and smiled, “You’ll do fine, Noah.”

Perhaps even Noa herself didn’t realize that her tail, behind her, had unconsciously swayed twice.

She lowered her head slightly and lowered her voice, “Thanks-“

Noah seemed to want to add something to the “thank you”, perhaps a title, perhaps a name.

But in the end, she added nothing.

    There’s only this, thank you.

Leon didn’t force his daughter to say anything, as long as she listened to what she had to say, that was the best.

Lowering his arms, Leon stretched and leaned back, laying on the back of Losvesser’s gargoyle form.

Let her have to stress herself out last night, and now she’s going to have a big sleep!

A few hours later, the family arrived at St. Heath’s College.

It is located right in the center of the mountain range of the same name, in an easily defensible location, and like Sky City, can only be reached by races with the ability to fly.

Landing in front of the academy gates, Loseweather transformed back into her human form.

They were accompanied by a number of other dragon families.

But it’s rare to find “two parents” like Noa.

“Let’s go inside.” Lossweather said, taking Noa’s hand and striding towards the academy gates.
