    Chapter Index

    Opened the door.

    It’s Mourne.

    “Dad!”

She cried out in delight, raising her arms in a gesture that begged for a hug.

Leon bent down and skillfully scooped her up in his arms, “Good morning Murn, what made you want to get up to daddy?”

“My sister said she was going to physical training today, so you should have some free time, dad, so Moune came to see dad.”

    Oh.

No wonder Moune hadn’t been seen for the past two days, except at dinner time.

Dare I say that I’m afraid of delaying Leon’s teaching.

Who says only the oldest daughter knows what she’s doing?

This little daughter is still her father’s little coat!

Leon carried Moune into the house and the father and daughter chatted about the interesting events of the past two days.

As we chatted, Mune sniffed his nose, “Daddy, why does your house smell like medicine?”

    Leon was speechless.

No, are all your dragons’ noses that good?

Yesterday, Loseweather smelled the medicine too, and today you smell it too.

“There’s nothing medicinal about it, I think Murn smelled it wrong.” Leon said.

But Mune stubbornly shook his head, “Nope, didn’t smell it wrong, it definitely smells like medicine.”

She jumped off of Leon’s lap and followed the smell to the pumping advance, then pulled it right out of the way.

Leon tried to stop it, but it was too late.

Only to see Moune take out the freshly practiced Dragon Power from it, she tilted her head and asked, “What’s this, Daddy? Is it a chocolate candy?”

Looking at the little dragon lady’s two eyes, Leon hurried over and gently squeezed her little hand, “This, this is not chocolate candy.”

    “What’s that?”

Leon’s brain raced, making up reasons that might sound reasonable.

After a couple of stutters, Leon then said, in all seriousness, “It’s the medicine I made for my mom.”

Mu En froze, immediately put away her playfulness and asked worriedly, “Medicine for mom? What’s wrong with mommy? Sick?”

“No, mom isn’t sick, she’s just been a little under the weather lately, maybe she’s been working too hard, so dad dispensed this medicine for her to nurse her back to health. I’ll take this medicine to her in the evening.”

Mu En nodded with seeming understanding, “Then daddy you must take care of mommy oh.”

    “Well, Daddy will.”

Father and daughter chatted a bit more before Moune trotted off.

She said her dad had been busy with her sister’s entrance test lately, so she couldn’t keep bothering him.

I only came this time because Dad hadn’t been with Moune for many days and I really missed him too much.
