    Chapter Index

Shrugging himself off, Leon did not make a fool of himself either, he looked to Lothwither, “What can I do for you?”

“Didn’t Noa say a few days ago that she’s going to attend St. Heath’s Academy’s young dragon division, the academy has a very strict entrance test, and I’d like you to tutor Noa in her cultural knowledge during this month.”

Leon sniffed, his mind twitching slightly.

He didn’t answer Losweather right away, but turned to Noa and said, “I’d like to talk to my mom alone about something, can Noa go inside and wait for me first.”

Noa nodded and stepped into the house.

    “What is it?”

“I can teach Noa some basic literacy, but again, I’d like to use that in exchange for something of equal value, like a walk like the one Mourne took to write her name earlier, or something.”

Losweather raised an eyebrow, “Are you bargaining with me?”

“If you don’t say yes then you can find someone else to teach Noa, you dragons are all talented and well spoken anyway.”

“As her father, you have an obligation to teach her, Leon.”

Having said that, Lossweather still made a concession after a brief moment of thought, “It’s fine to promise you, but you can’t go too far with your demands.”

    “Sure.”

    “Okay, it’s a deal.”

Leon blinked as if remembering something and grunted, “A promise? Why do I remember someone telling me the other day that I didn’t need to be promised anything?”

In the face of Leon’s ridicule, Loseweather also skimmed over it with a smile, “I was afraid that someone would have another sudden bout of malady just for the momentary thrill of vengeance . I’m afraid that someone will get sick again, just for the pleasure of revenge, and then I’ll punch him until he’s unconscious for three days.”

“Ch, you’re clearly the one who’s lusting, aren’t you?”

“Come on, I don’t have time to fight with you.”

Loseweather interrupted, “The maids will bring up the books you need later, teach your daughter well, I hope you can.”

    “It’s bound to work.”

    “Hopefully, after all–“

The Queen lowered her eyes and looked beneath Leon with feigned carelessness, then said meaningfully that

“After all, you know …… so you’ll just have to be valuable in other areas for the time being.”

    Psst–

The sharp words were like knives, plunging hard . . on Leon’s fragile heart.

Losweather smiled in satisfaction as she watched him want to curse but there was nothing she could do, “Well then, you guys have a good day studying, I’m off.”

With that, Losweather turned to the side of the corridor.

Leon was also going to close the door.

But before he could close the door all the way, he heard Lois Visser, not far from him, add a

“Oh yes, dear husband, don’t be ~too~ tired.”

With a feigned look of concern, she finished and then raised her hand to her face, moving her fingers in small motions meant to wave goodbye to Leon.

    Leon: “Mother Dragon you’re done! (╯‵□′)╯︵ ┻━┻”

    Bam–

    Leon flung the door shut.

“What’s the matter, did you fight with mommy again?” Noa poked her little head out of the room.
