    Chapter Index

After a pause, the young man seemed to be afraid that Leon would think he was a bad guy, so he took the initiative to confess his identity, “Oh yeah, my name is Walker, I’m the captain of the forty-seventh squad of the Imperial Dragon Slayers.”

The moonlight was misty, the trees were thick in the mountains, and they were separated by some distance, so neither could see each other’s faces very well.

Otherwise there’s no way Walker, who is a Dragonslayer, wouldn’t recognize Leon.

With a great opportunity in front of them, if Leon shouted “Help me!” now, the well-trained dragon slaying team would immediately realize the problem.

But at the cost of that, they would probably all be obliterated by Loseweather.

Even if someone managed to escape back to the Empire to report on Leon, the casualties would be too costly.

Leon would never do such a thing.

Leon pursed his lips, then suddenly wrapped his arms around Loseweather’s waist.

The move startled the Queen, and even the magical energy in her hand unconsciously dissipated.

“Thank you for the kind words Dragon Slayers, my wife and I have had some training and we can protect ourselves. Right now just want to take a casual stroll, we’ll head down later.”

Hearing Leon say that, Captain Walker stopped inviting, “Okay. Oh yeah, this is for you guys.”

With that, Walker stepped forward and handed up a flare, “If you’re really in danger, pull the flare at the sky and we’ll be there immediately.”

Leon reached for it and nodded his thanks, “Thank you.”

“No guest – hmm? Sir, you look a little familiar, haven’t I seen you somewhere before?” Having gotten closer, Walker also got a slightly better look at Leon’s face.

Leon hesitated for a moment, then smiled and vetoed, “Little brother, I just have a popular face. When my wife courted me back then, she was also looking at my face.”

    Roseweather: ……

Walker smiled, “Good, then I’ll leave you two alone.”

With that, Walker left with his crew.

Once they were far enough away, Leon breathed a sigh of relief as if he were counting his blessings.

Lois Vesper immediately pushed Leon away with her tail before teasing, “I didn’t realize you told a set of lies and that I was pursuing you, it’s ridiculous.”

“Do you think I don’t disgust myself when I say that?”

“You’re disgusting yourself and you have to take me with you?”

“Of course, husband and wife are meant to be together.”

Loseweather was speechless, “Get your bearings, Dragonslayer, just because we have a child doesn’t mean I’m your wife, understand.”

“I don’t want to be your husband either.”

Leon put the flare away and looked down again at his hand, which had just been burned by Losweather’s magic.

It hurts a little, but it’s not a big problem.

Loseweather raised an eyebrow, noticing Leon’s movements and his injured hand.

Instead of actively caring, however, she asked about something else, “You were just wrapping your arm around my waist
