Chapter 6: Domineering Woman (2/2)

Lin Tian frowned slightly, then firmly refused: “Not interested, not going.”

“You really won’t go? I heard the host is quite a beauty!” Yang Wanrong teased.

Lin Tian’s forehead twitched as he refused again: “Not interested.”

Seeing her son’s firm refusal, Yang Wanrong didn’t insist: “Alright then, if you don’t want to go.”

After chatting briefly with his mom and hanging up, another call came in.

“Young Master Lin, where have you been all day?”

Li Shiqing’s voice came through as soon as he answered.

Lin Tian casually made up an excuse: “Went for a walk, what’s up?”

“What’s up? Don’t tell me you forgot about my welcome party tonight?”

Lin Tian’s heart skipped a beat – he really had forgotten.

Before Lin Tian could respond, Li Shiqing guessed the answer and gritted her teeth: “I’m waiting at the school gate. You have three minutes!”

Then she hung up.

Lin Tian stared at his phone, bewildered. Did this woman really think she owned him?

Despite these thoughts, Lin Tian still made it to the school gate within three minutes, surprising students who recognized him along the way.

What could make Young Master Lin rush like this?

At the gate, Li Shiqing sat in her self-bought Audi A4. Seeing Lin Tian running out, her sexy red lips curved slightly upward.

“This is your car?” Lin Tian asked surprisingly when he approached.

Li Shiqing glared at him: “I know what you’re thinking. Can’t I drive this kind of car? I bought it with my scholarship money abroad. And during my five years overseas, except for the first year, I earned all my own money for the other four years!”

Like a little girl showing off her toys, Li Shiqing looked proud.

Lin Tian gave a thumbs up in response, genuinely admiring such an independent girl, knowing her background.

“Get in!” Li Shiqing tossed her head stylishly, gesturing Lin Tian to the passenger seat.

Lin Tian looked troubled. He still had the title of fiancé, and leaving with Li Shiqing without regard for Qin Ruofei would damage both women’s reputations.

“What are you dawdling for? Am I not worthy enough to give Young Master Lin a ride?” Li Shiqing frowned, annoyed.

She actually understood perfectly but deliberately chose this high-profile approach to make Qin Ruofei back off!

Men don’t understand women’s warfare!

Seeing Li Shiqing angry and feeling guilty toward her, Lin Tian thought for a moment before getting in, but called Qin Ruofei first.

“Have the driver take you to Maple Forest Club later. I’m riding with a friend first.”

On the other side, Qin Ruofei was standing not far from the school gate. She saw Lin Tian get into Li Shiqing’s car but just quietly said “okay.”

Could she control what Lin Tian did?

The answer was obviously no!

This made Qin Ruofei smile self-mockingly. Li Shiqing’s return had caused quite a stir in their circle, but the person pushed into the spotlight wasn’t Li Shiqing, nor Young Master Lin who had caused such an uproar back then.

Instead, it was her, Lin Tian’s current official fiancée!

The reason was obvious to everyone.

A woman had come to steal her man with such a domineering attitude. Even if she didn’t like Lin Tian, she would naturally feel uncomfortable.

Maple Forest Club was a famous venue in the capital, usually gathering place for young masters and also used to receive important guests.

When Lin Tian arrived with Li Shiqing at the Earth-grade private room, there were already four or five people inside, both men and women.

Maple Forest Club had four grades of private rooms: Heaven, Earth, Dark, and Yellow. Even Lin Tian only had access to Earth-grade rooms. His parents, however, would definitely have access to Heaven-grade rooms.

“Girl, you left for five years, abandoning me alone in the capital – how heartless!” In the room, a girl wearing a light red bodycon dress and flesh-colored stockings hugged Li Shiqing immediately, speaking with an exaggerated pitiful expression.

While hugging Li Shiqing, she whispered: “Girl, why did you come with Young Master Lin?”

Her expression changed faster than flipping pages.

Hearing her best friend’s gossipy tone, Li Shiqing glanced at Lin Tian, who was now surrounded by several young masters like a star, then teased: “Guess!”

“Hmph! I can guess even if you don’t tell me! Young Master Lin couldn’t resist you back then. Now that you’re back, Qin Ruofei is probably done for!” Xu Ziqi snorted, acting like she had already figured everything out.

Li Shiqing winked: “Half right!”

Even this made Xu Ziqi’s eyes widen as she looked at her friend she hadn’t seen in five years, confirming: “You’re really going to fight Qin Ruofei for Young Master Lin?”
