Chapter 2: Starting Over from Now! (2/2)
by Jessie@AFNCCAt the age when one should be experiencing the freedom of love, Qin Ruo Fei found herself tied to this guy in front of her. For her, the title of fiancée was a pain in her heart!
Lin Tian was completely stunned.
Wait, what? Did I say something wrong?
Why is she suddenly crying?
In the world of cultivation, he was a respected tribulation-stage grandmaster, but when it came to love, he was a total rookie. Plus, he had just been reborn, and many things were still unfamiliar to him. Qin Ruo Fei’s unexpected outburst caught him completely off guard.
“Although I know you don’t believe me, I really don’t remember a lot of things. Please don’t tell my parents about this. As for what you said about flitting between women, if I was really that kind of person before, I have no excuse. If you don’t want to be my fiancée, just say it. I won’t force you,” Lin Tian sighed and said.
What even is this?!
“You definitely won’t force me!” Qin Ruo Fei gritted her teeth and cried, “If I dared to break off the engagement, you wouldn’t have to do anything. Someone would come along and take care of me! Even our Qin family would be wiped out! You think I don’t know what you’re thinking? You just want to see me come crawling back to you, begging for mercy when everything falls apart!”
?????
Lin Tian was totally lost.
I’m being nice here, telling you it’s fine to leave if you want, and you think this is what I want?
This was really starting to piss Lin Tian off. He couldn’t help but snap, “So what exactly do you want? Getting engaged to you wasn’t my idea!”
“Heh! If it wasn’t for you going to propose, would my dad ever have agreed to marry me to you? You, Young Master Lin, can easily wave your hand and say it’s not your problem!” Qin Ruo Fei couldn’t take it anymore, and she collapsed on the ground, burying her head in her knees, sobbing uncontrollably.
Lin Tian: “…”
What is going on here?!
Feeling a bit flustered by her crying, Lin Tian grabbed her by the arm and lifted her up, carrying her back to the villa.
Qin Ruo Fei seemed to have given up resisting. Her fate was never in her own hands!
However, once back at the villa, Lin Tian just tossed her onto the couch. He didn’t care that Yang Wan Rong and Lin Yue, who were eating, were running after him, asking what was going on. He simply dragged Lin Yue back to his room.
“Bro, did you and Fei Fei have another fight?” Lin Yue asked helplessly.
Lin Tian seriously asked, “Tell me, what was I like before?”
After being reborn, most of his memories were missing, and from what Qin Ruo Fei had said, it seemed like this original person wasn’t exactly a good guy?
Lin Yue widened her eyes. “You don’t even remember this?”
Lin Tian nodded.
“You, uh…” Lin Yue bit her finger, thinking for a moment, then stared at Lin Tian seriously and said, “You were kind of a jerk.”
Lin Tian almost fell over, speechless. “Come on, cut to the chase. What terrible stuff did I do?”
“Well, we’d be here all day if I listed it!” Noticing her brother’s increasingly shocked expression, Lin Yue stuck out her tongue and said, “When you were seven, you started secretly watching me take baths. At thirteen, during the school flag-raising ceremony, you kissed a freshly graduated teacher. At fifteen, you often stayed out all night, hanging out in nightclubs. One time, you even stripped the Li family’s little princess and did… stuff. At seventeen, you made the class head teacher so miserable they couldn’t continue teaching. At eighteen, you led a gang and beat the second young master of the Wang family into a vegetative state. Then, at a party, you set your sights on Fei Fei and went to the Qin family to propose, destroying several of her father’s priceless antiques. At nineteen, you watched your third cousin change clothes, and when you got caught, not only didn’t you run, but you even bullied her until she cried, and there’s more…”
“Stop!” Lin Tian quickly interrupted, horrified at the list of “achievements.”
He was drenched in cold sweat.
Hearing it like this… it seems like this original guy was really… that bad.
Lin Yue casually added, “There are more things, like bullying women and being a general jerk, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Outside, they all call you Beijing’s number one playboy, though none of them dare to say it to your face. You’re not planning to use force on Fei Fei again, are you?”
Hearing Lin Yue’s sudden change of topic, Lin Tian almost choked.
What do you mean ‘again’?
Did I used to do that kind of stuff all the time?
If the original him really acted like this, then Qin Ruo Fei’s breakdown… it’s no wonder.
“Phew…”
Lin Tian let out a long breath, his gaze burning with determination. “I’ve made up my mind!”
“Made up your mind about what?” Lin Yue looked confused.
“From now on, I’ll turn over a new leaf and start fresh!”
“Poof!”
