Somebody Stop the Pope – 87

Episode 87
6.
Because of the restrictions placed on the system I haven’t been able to move around much since then.
According to the description the restrictions are lifted when necessary for ‘self-defense’ but as has been the case up to now the scope of ‘self-defense’ as stipulated by the system is very ambiguous.
It was questionable whether the ‘self-defense’ mechanism would be activated even when exposed to danger.
So I just considered it a week of vacation.
I wake up in the morning and play with Baekseol then have Inwook cook lunch for me.
When Siyeon comes back we order some delicious food and eat it.
As I was doing that moving day arrived before I knew it.
The move went smoothly.
Originally I was planning to call a professional moving company to do the moving.
– For security reasons this is not possible. Please leave it to us.
Due to Director Kim’s opposition the Irregular Affairs Division of the Ability Management Department took charge of this move.
Even though they are not a professional moving company they packed and moved very neatly.
I’m worried that if things continue like this the controversy over irregular bullying will erupt.
If it had been a private company there would have been 100% controversy.
anyway.
So our family finished moving in the morning and gathered in the living room which was much larger than our old house and ordered Chinese food to eat.
“On moving day we have jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk. Siyeon eat a lot. How about going to the new school with Oppa this afternoon?”
“good!”
“Yeah yeah.”
I patted Siyeon’s head as she was eating jajangmyeon with jajang sauce smeared all over her mouth.
The day before I moved I personally gave gifts to my neighbors.
Department store gift certificates a letter written by Siyeon herself and even a drawing drawn by Siyeon herself.
Our neighbors all expressed regret that our family was so fortunate.
It was even more so when I saw that you didn’t say anything even though you suffered all kinds of damage because of me.

I was so grateful for that that I had Leo secretly bless the painting. It was filled with divine power so I thought it would be very effective.
“But when I think about what happened earlier it still makes me laugh.”
“Oh that?”
“Why are other people trying to stop us from moving when our neighbors are just sitting there? Don’t you think that’s funny?”
As Inwook said this morning some of the apartment residents stopped us from moving.
The boat flipped over in front of the moving truck.
If the staff of the Ability Management Department hadn’t stepped in we probably wouldn’t have been able to move.
To briefly describe the situation before we moved….
-If you’re going to move you should pass through us!
-Huh? You made us so uncomfortable and now you’re running away so irresponsibly? And you’re the Pope!
-Strongly opposed! We will protect our home values!
-We are against moving without the consent of the residents! We are against it!
-You can come in as you please but you can’t leave as you please!
There has never been such a mess as this one.
I don’t know if it was because it was the weekend but they came out and protested even though it was early in the morning.
The reason why unrelated people came out and stopped the move was simple.
“They said that the price of the apartment went up a lot because I said I live there. They’re all trying to stop me because if I move out the price of the apartment will go down just as much. It’s obvious.”
“Real people…..”
“They say that in Korea a house is worth risking your life to protect little brother. You still have a lot to learn. Hehe.”
Originally you could just sit back and watch your asset value rise but you couldn’t watch it fall.
For Koreans real estate is one of the most valuable assets.
It’s actually a tradition that’s been going on for a very long time.
Disliked facilities as far away as possible preferred facilities as close as possible.
It’s not that I didn’t understand it because it was one of the most primal desires of humans but it was still a bit uncomfortable when it actually happened to us.
I took a bite of jajangmyeon and then pointed to the 86-inch wall-mounted TV where the news was streaming.
“Well the only one who was excited was our landlord. He even bought us this big TV when we moved in.”
“Maybe the landlord is the ultimate winner? He said he would buy me the rest of the appliances not just the TV.”
“That means you’re that good.”
According to Director Kim’s estimate the house we were living in would be sold for at least twice the asking price.
Maybe even more than that is possible. From there it is up to the landlord’s discretion but in any case it is true that there is a so-called ‘Kim Si-woo premium’ attached.
In fact it was true that sacred powers remained throughout the house.
In any case it was the place where I lived and it was certain that the divine being Baekseol had left traces here and there.
“The people who come after us will actually see the effects.”
“That’s true. I’ve also felt less tired since Snow White came home.”
Is it too early to say that the fatigue has gone away because I still see dark circles under my eyes?
Maybe dark circles have been around for so long that they have become a part of your body.
In short it evolved into a panda.

I looked at Inwook with pity. Then I put a piece of radish on top of his jajangmyeon and said.
“But it’s our home now.”
“If Mom and Dad saw it they would have been so happy that I bought a house in Seoul. No maybe they were disappointed because it didn’t have a view of the Han River?”
“I think they might have given it some recognition because it had a view of Cheonggyecheon instead of the Han River.”
This was definitely a historic place for my brother and I.
“Should we take Siyeon to the charnel house this weekend? We haven’t been able to properly say hello lately.”
“I’m planning some content this week centered around Luna but… I think it’ll be okay to take some time off.”
For reference the videos that get the most views on our church’s official channel are said to be the ones featuring Luna.
Luna’s beauty is fully revealed and since Luna is a very outspoken person she has a solid fan base.
Just by looking at the number of views you can clearly see where the public’s attention is focused.
“What kind of content are you planning this time?”
“It’s a documentary-like format. There are some new players who have joined the school recently right? I’m thinking of filming how Luna educates them. Leo has also agreed to help.”
“Good idea.”
“It’s a common plot but it’s also a solid plot. Minsu hyung also worked on the ‘Newbie Military Academy’ content so he said he gave me a lot of advice.”
I think it will be a great help to the image of the church. It will also be beneficial in attracting new players.
Still Inwook really works hard. I didn’t expect him to work this hard.
While my family was having lunch and chatting about this and that an interesting story came on TV.
“The extraordinary session of the National Assembly unanimously passed the Irregular Special Act. We would like to invite Professor Seon Ho-jun from Korea University to talk about the Irregular Special Act. Hello Professor.”
“Yes hello.”
“Many viewers are curious about the authority given to Kim Si-woo through the Irregular Special Act. Could you explain it to me?”
“Ah first of all the Irregular Special Act is a bill that was quickly proposed with reference to American legislation and it contains provisions granting judicial privileges to Irregulars…”
The story is that the bill concerning me passed unanimously.
That means I will be granted partial immunity.
“Still you kept your promise.”
President Seo kept his promise to give me power and he did it much faster than I expected.
I smiled as I listened to the conversation between the announcer and the panel.
Things were going well.
Very satisfyingly.
7.
Following the Irregular Special Act the atmosphere in South Korea continued to be turbulent as reports emerged of an infectious disease outbreak in a refugee camp in Daejeon.
It was an incident that could have resulted in many casualties but I resolved it in a timely manner so the number of deaths was very small.
Although patients in a mine state required continuous treatment for the time being the number of critically ill patients was greatly reduced thanks to the excellent measures taken by the new players in our sect led by Luna.
Some of the carriers who escaped from the refugee camp were also mostly cleaned up thanks to the persistent pursuit of the Ability Management Department and since the source of the disease was eliminated the cavalry was not that threatening so it was safe to say that the situation was completely over.
“(Photo) Players belonging to the Limen Sect led by Luna Reventon the ‘older sister’ of the Limen Sect are treating patients.”
“This time Kim Si-woo! The hero who saved the Republic of Korea from countless crises gets wings with the Irregular Special Act!”
“Luna Reventon ‘I have received a lot of help from Pastor Seongsin Seo who has served here for a long time. Regardless of religion I respect him.’”
“Pastor Seong-shin Seo the ‘Saint of Daejeon’. Who is he?
Luna who also acquired media relations skills conducted the interview skillfully. In the process she also told a story about Pastor Seo which meant that Luna also acknowledged Pastor Seo’s humanity.
In addition to Luna’s interview the results of Pastor Seongshin Seo’s divine power measurement announced by the Department of Ability Management served as an excellent catalyst.
Currently the Department of Ability Management has been measuring divine power using the divine stone provided by our church and Pastor Seo has recorded the highest level since the measurement began.
Naturally there was chaos in the Protestant church.
The appearance of a new apostle is the beginning of a Protestant revival.
It’s natural to be excited since a talent of all time has appeared… but it’s not all good news for them.
anyway.
A new member has joined our church albeit temporarily.
“…My name is Oh Jun-woo and I will be teaching combat and monsters at the Limen Church for the time being. It’s nice to meet you again everyone!”
“Everyone applaud.”
Clap clap clap.
It was Hive Guild’s whistleblower Oh Jun-woo.
Where would a hunter belonging to the Senkakuren go after stabbing a Senkakuren member in the back?
So I brought it here.
I thought he would be a great help to the new recruits of our sect as he was an S-class hunter and had experience in numerous raids.
Moreover even Junwoo Oh himself was very favorable about joining our church.
Maybe that’s it.
“I knew it. Nice to see you again Junwoo.”
“Yes yes! I will work hard! It’s nice to see you again Luna!”
Could it be because he fell in love with Luna at first sight?
Of course it’s not like I came here simply because I was blinded by Luna.
Even he himself must have guessed that there was no organization that could protect him as much as our church. Honestly who would entrust their future to a woman?
“I’m so glad Junwoo came.”
“I too am very… happy!”
…um could it be here?
Luna winked lightly at Junwoo Oh who was blushing as he looked at her. Junwoo Oh tried to calm himself down but was startled by Luna’s wink.
If you keep doing that your face will burn.
I carefully brought my mouth to Luna’s ear while examining Oh Jun-woo’s face.
“Luna roll it until it’s usable. Got it?”
“Isn’t that obvious? Is this the time for us to fight? Even if His Majesty didn’t ask me to I was just going to drain all the grease. The last time we faced each other there were too many little movements. Haha where should I start tormenting you? I’m already looking forward to it.”
I guess you don’t have to worry about that.
In addition since he was a person who held an important position in a large guild he would be of great help in organizing the Knights and Priests Order in the Earth style in the future.
Although the magic users are different from us the current situation of our church is not the time to discuss such things.
In times of labor shortages like the present it is enough to just have someone who is good at their job and listens well.
Even Minsu is a magic user right now.
And since our church was not that conservative there were no doctrinal problems.
“Let’s do the welcoming party for Junwoo later. Luna have you found any new recruits who are worthy of becoming priests?”
“There are quite a few. I will compile a list of the relevant trainees and submit it by today.”
“It’s nice to hear that.”
Priests are also important for the inner sanctuary of the temple.
This is because while the paladin was the one who destroyed the external enemies the priest’s role was to fill the internal part of the church.
“Leo take care of it as soon as I check the list.”
“Understood Your Majesty.”
I feel like Leo’s stake has decreased a bit lately.
I’ll have to take him out soon and make him work hard.
They say that the worst leader is the one who discriminates among his subordinates so shouldn’t he treat them equally?
I nodded with satisfaction.
By the way there’s something I asked Director Kim to do. I think it’s about time I got an answer…
Tiring ringing …
“I told you you wouldn’t be a nobleman. Hello?”
Then Director Kim’s voice came over the phone.
-Siwoo is it okay if I speak to you?
“Yes yes take it easy.”
– Let me start with the conclusion. I checked the D254 dungeon that Siwoo asked about and it has already been bid on. Buying the bid right with a higher price is an option that I could consider but it doesn’t seem easy.
There was one dungeon that you absolutely had to bid on.
A dungeon related to the relics of another world like the one in Busan last time.
The quest occurred even though the system had some restrictions so it must be related to the otherworldly relic.
So I spoke to Director Kim right away but it seemed like it wasn’t the result I wanted.
“Is it too expensive? Our church does have some spare funds.”
-The problem is not the price… but the person who won the bid. Phew.
Director Kim sighed over the phone. Then he spoke in a complicated voice.
-The Sulwha Guild is a medium-sized guild that is affiliated with the Jeon Gak-ryeon so it has been bid on.
That’s how bad relationships are.
Even if you don’t want to get involved you can’t help but get involved. That’s a real bad relationship.
I sighed following Director Kim.
“This time too it was hard to get through it easily.”
Everything I do is like that.
I didn’t even expect it.
Sigh.
Our Pope please stop this
